This ambitiously named Chinese eatery may not be as wonderful as it suggests, but it isn't half bad.
Hidden away towards the far end of Duke Street, this lonely little eatery must do quite well as the closest place of its kind for those living in the nearby Haghill area.
I was lucky to have stumbled upon this tucked away place, on a wintry walk to a friend's house. I took a peek inside and opted for the vegetable chow mein, which was fine, but is a choosy chow mein chomper, I wasn't overly impressed. Around a week later, I popped in again, mainly due to hunger and convenience, and I decided to try something different. I chose one of their snack boxes, which was piled high with chips, fried rice and curry sauce, for only £3! This was more like it, cheap and cheerful and enough food to feed three of us!
This place may not be as wonderful as it suggests, however it serves up your basic Chinese takeaway grub, with very generous portions. I'd recommend the snack boxes, which only cost £2-£3 and are pretty tasty indeed. read more
