The gentlemen was very nice. The part on my dryer was replaced and all was good. I am invoiced for part labor then and $134.95 "travel charge" was not disclosed upfront. Yhat is very deceitful which is very common in home repair / appliance repairs / basically the service industry these days. I gave the 2 star due to the "travel fee" not disclosed upfront. On invoice it's listed as other. Gee wonder why!!!!! read more

Do not hire! I cannot recommend any outfit that handles the situation as they have... I called them to repair a refrigerator ice maker...On the very first visit I share with the technician that another local appliance repairman had tried serveral things and was unable to get things to work and recommended that I contact JennAir for certifiied JennAir Technicianl...this is how I ended up with this outfit. After 3 unsuccessful visits, they schedule a 4th visit just send the technician to tell me that they are "washing their hands of this one" because someone else had attempted the repair before them! They knew this on the first visit!!!! (By the way I felt sorry for the technician...who sends their technician into face a customer with this message??...the owner should have picked upt the phone and contact me directly with an explanation.) Of course they were more than happy to collect multiple trip fees even though they never got anything working! A definite "never hire" recommendation from me! read more

Came out and charged me for a service call only to tell me that parts are no longer available for my Jenn Air fridge. They had my model and serial number, they could have told me that before, but instead wasted my time and my money. BESIDES THAT, I went on line and found the part and installed it myself in 30 minutes. read more

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! I had the worst experience of my life with them. The repairman was rude and did a poor job repairing my range. I have video footage of him yelling at the top of his lungs in front of my home. I also have a recorded conversation of him yelling at me on the phone. They are unprofessional and racist. I have several photos of how poorly he repaired my oven and had to get my warranty provider to send someone else to my home. If I could leave 0 stars I would. read more

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE service! They are unreliable and flakes. They schedule your service and then not showup. Tonya was a terrible rep for the first impression. She was argumentative and very rude! Steven refused to give a manager or corporate contact. No one in the Raleigh office was not helpful! read more

I had a gas oven that failed to ignite. Convenient Appliance Service worked on it. They stated that they replaced the ignitor and the oven was working, and charging me $400! Part cost for the ignitor: $99. Labor $134.95. Under "other", $137.41. What was this one for? read more

Convenient Appliance Service - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Garner, North Carolina

Neighbors--We have used Convenient Appliance Service out of Garner a couple of times and they have been pleasant, prompt and competent. For the refrigerator/freezer repair today they also were at least $100. less expensive than the local large company's quote/estimate. The technician was great and it was a very easy and informative experience. Recommend highly. read more

Cody was on time.He came within the 2 hour window given. He was exceptionally polite ( he even asked if he might sit on the furniture before doing so to fill out paperwork). Our current Frig.is a special order size and over 25 years old.Cory made the case to try and save it because it is so much better built ( insulation + fewer bells and whistles to go bad ) than newer appliances. It took two trips to fix the problem .The necessary part did NOT come with instructions and was put in wrong initially.Cody gave us a number to call him if we had any problems and we did. That was the only hiccup and out frig is now working great. A replacement Frig.( bottom line variety) was going to be over a thousand dollars, counting a warranty. We learned that current appliances are made so poorly that in a 25 year period Lowes has gone from giving 90 days to return a Frig to TWO days ( Lowes will give you 30 days if you put it on their credit card). So we are happy we kept the older refrigerator despite the hiccup with the part.We lost some food but there is a good chance that would have happened anyway.Recently a relative lost a lot of food while waiting on the installation of a new frig.while in a similar situation. The people answering CAS's phones were nice. They got us on the schedule quickly when the first attempt did not work out .Bottom line:We would use again and we would ask for Cody. read more

I placed a service request on whirlpool's website for a noise my washing machine was making. On Thursday Shane Miller from Convienient Repair came out, ran some diagnostics, and told me what was wrong. Well now since he left the machine won't work at all. I texted him at the number he had texted me from earlier in the day and he said he just forgot to turn off the diagnostic mode and told me how to reset it. I did everything he told me to do to and it still isn't working. And then he stopped responding to my texts and won't answer my calls or call me back. I am absolutely livid. I paid $117 for him to come make my machine inoperable. read more

Great service! This was a warranty service. Tech was on time, knowledgeable and polite. Explained what was the problem and corrected. Answered a few questions I had on operation and provided a few tips. Excellent! Not sure why the funky reviews but see some ppl have no idea how service calls operate and expect free service. Things are not cheap anymore....Regardless, I have no qualms about using Convenient Appliance in the future... read more

Convenient Appliance was used as a contractor by KitchenAid to repair my refrigerator. The company had to order a door so that the rubber seal could be replaced. The part was shipped to my home and the company had no recollection of this being done. Once they were contacted an appointment to install the part was completed rather quickly. I informed the service contractor that the doors were not properly leveled. He stated at first that there wasn't anything that could be done to rectify the problem not even attempting to explore any options. In addition, the technician would not dispose of the old part because the new part wasn't shipped directly to their facility. The main office was notified and I was informed that a manager would contact me by the close of business. Needless to say, I did not receive that phone call and followed up the next business day in which I received the same guidance. The concern was never resolved with this company. Beware due to a lack of communication, customer service and follow through on work! read more

I would not recommend reviewing his survey to best buy he lied about my response if i had to call back to his company if the ice maker was still not working. WFCC Convenient appliance has not reached out to me about the service or to hear my side to what happened during service and don't want to hear from WCFF Convenient appliance. I wish WFCC Convenient appliance the best in the future if this is how they continue to run there business read more

Called due to my new washer machine causing large amounts of noise. Tech and his trainee were prompt (on the nose of their time estimate) and professional, and successfully diagnosed the problem quickly on first visit (faulty installation). Will give them a call again if anything acts up, great service! read more

4 weeks to get them to come and fix my washer. They were unable to fix it and left it completely unusable. Then they call me 4 times in 5 days threatening to put a lien on me because I have paid them yet, even though it had only been 5 days since they billed me. read more

I have a warranty on my Speed Queen Washer and Convenient Appliance has been out a couple of times to service the unit. The washer would stop mid cycle and the unit would squeak like the belt was loose. They replace the entire panel and told me the squeaking was something I would have to live with. I was furious. I paid good money for this washer and I do not believe this is something you have to live with. After, another few months of listening to it squeak and the washer yet again stopping mid cycle I called the warranty company and refused to let them send Convenient Appliance out. They sent another company and they fixed my washer. They opened the front casing, which Convenient did not do once. They actually got on their knees and looked inside the unit. The entire unit was off balance and the tub was hitting up against the wall of the washer. This was the entire problem the whole time. The panel did not need to be replaced. I will not be using Convenient again. They do not want to really diagnose the real problem. And for the record they have still not figured out what is wrong with my refrigerator that freezes everything. They continue to tell me it is because I put things in front of the vent. I do not. They scorned my like a child and told me that I did. read more

Our new washer had an issue and Cody Sampson from Convenient Appliance Service in Raleigh, NC was outstanding. He was very professional and knowledgable in his quick diagnosis and repair of our unit. Thanks so much Cody! I sent whirlpool a message as well regarding his excellent service! read more

What can I say, they suck! They're expensive and I think the guy who came out had been drinking. And he kept talking about his gun collection! Plus the dryer broke again after three days. Called another company and they said I had a blocked dryer vent. Wouldn't use again. read more

I wouldn't have written this if they haven't been to my house multiple times, to repair the same Maytag washer and made it literally worse each time. They have left my machine in a state of total non-function this last time. We have a new HE Maytag with agitator. It was making a mysterious clicking noise, and while mostly it would wash clothing every once in a while it would simply do nothing. In come CAS. The tech never ran a full cycle when they were finished with the initial repair, which had to due with gear stripping. I know this because the tech admitted it to me. I was dubious, and it turns out I had good reason to be because when they left the machine was now squeaking, clicking, and shaking violently. I called Lowes on my warranty again, requested CAS. This time they said it was the central shaft. Ok, no problem. Things happen, lets get it taken care of. So CAS came again just today. Without ever having run the machine to test, they replace the central shaft. Without testing a cycle they leave. My wife immediately sends me video on facebook of the machine still making a racket, still shaking like all get out. Now the machine suddenly doesn't work at all. It just makes a pathetic rhythmic noise associated with the motor *trying* to run. If you open the lid you'll notice the agitator isn't doing anything. The machine is a total wreck. I've called Lowes again, this time I'm requesting someone else. My wife and I can't do this. We have four kids. We're out a machine till the 24th to finally get this thing fixed. We are so out of luck on this and hurts so bad. --- UPDATE --- We had a new service tech come. They said this time it was a broken clutch and they had no idea why the clutch would be broken with such a new machine. read more

Cody is excellent. He visited once to determine what parts he needed to repair our KitchenAid refrigerator. Then he returned to install the parts and help us with temperature and air flow issues. We have been very happy with the quick response time in scheduling through the office and with the efficient repair of our Whirlpool ice maker by Shea. This is apparently the only company in the Triangle that does warranty work for Whirlpool and all of it's affiliated brands (e.g. Kitchen Aid). Due to this fact, I will probably avoid purchasing another Whirlpool brand appliance. Seriously. It astounds me that in such a big city, that we do not have more than one choice for warranty repair. Perhaps this would improve the quality of their service. read more

One of their technicians, Cody, came out to fix our microwave. In the process, part of the platform got unleveled and when asked about it, he refused to try fixing it and said that wasn't his problem. When asked to wait so I could show my husband, he walked away and proceeded to call his supervisor with lies to cover for his behavior. His lack of professionalism was astounding. This may not reflect on the company's ability to fix appliances, but certainly does on their lack of professionalism and customer service. read more

One start is actually too much. They are rude, from the technicians to the "manager". While changing the hinges of my oven's door, they broke the outside glass of the door. No apologies, no clear timeline for the repair... When I called to get information I was treated like rubbish by everybody in the chain of command. When they finally came to fix it, the technician was unable to place the door back in place, nope, I am not making this up. They do not have customer service, zero, nada!!!! PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY unless you are a masochist. There are way better ones in the triangle...keep looking read more

I had an issue with my Maytag washer and I used my service plan from Home Depot and they directed me to CAS. Very easy to setup appointment online/call. The company called to schedule appointment since the date I chose was not available. The service person Jimmy was very professional and knowledgeable. Definitely enjoyed his visit. Thank you! read more

This is by far the worst company I have ever worked with. They give you a 4 hour arrival window and then still show up 1.5 hours late (multiple times). I even tried to schedule an appointment for the "first appointment of the morning" from 8-9 am and they arrived 35 min late. They have now come out 5 times for a problem with my washing machine, and I'm not even sure it is fixed correctly this time. This is the company that Lowe's outsourced for my warranty repair, otherwise I would have never used them again. My messages asking to speak with management were never returned. I would never recommend them to anyone due to their lack of professionalism. read more

Terrible Management at this company. Repair man came to look at my washer and dryer. He spent about 5 minutes in total at my house. The repair man was very nice, but unless he took apart the entire dryer he couldn't tell me what was wrong. He looked at the washer no more than 60 seconds because we couldn't get it to make the sound again. They charged me a trip charge for EACH appliance. They told me it was for a diagnostic assessment and that Whirlpool charges them when you call the manufacturer directly to make your appointment. I called Whirlpool and they said they do not charge. Each repair shop is independently owned and they set their own pricing. They fixed NOTHING. COMPLETE rip-off. Their diagnostic check is their eyes and ears. read more

Convenient Appliance sent Peter Haire to fix a clothes dryer. He looked at it and charged $68 and said he'd be back with parts to fix it. Then 14 days after, when we called to find out what happened, Peter showed up unannounced and spent 1.5 hours fixing it. Peter said he could not print me an invoice because his tablet wasn't working, and to call the front office for the invoice. I called the front office and was assured she'd email the invoice. The next day an additional charge of $431.58 was on my credit card and still no invoice. I called back and left messages. No response. I put a dispute on the charge with my bank. After a month, Convenient sent an invoice to my bank, but not to me. In it, they charged $250 in labor without documenting how many hours Peter spent to fix the dryer. I'm still disputing the charge. This is fraud and the company should go out of business trying to steal from customers like this. read more

The technician, Cody, was amazing and easy to deal with. The management there is less than desirable. Completely unwilling to work with the customer. The technician saw I had an issue with my microwave while he was here working on my dishwasher and stove. He told me to open a ticket so he could get the part for my microwave ordered. When I called to get that done, she told me there weren't notes. I asked her to call Cody and she told me that if he had really said that there would have been notes. She was unwilling to call him and get it cleared up for me and in a round about way, told me I was a liar. I had to have him come out again to verify it, and as expected, he didn't need to come back out for it when he already knew what was going on. Then, today, I needed to get some assistance with the ongoing issues on my Stove (multiple trips have been made to deal with it) and I was told they will not come service it because the office manager put a stop on service for anything on my account, noting I was rude. This seems petty and very unprofessional, especially since she was the one rude from the start and attacking me. I really thought Cody was great and it's unfortunate that a manager in that office is unable to operate in a professional manner. read more

We've used Convenient Appliance for several years under our extended service plan with Whirlpool. They've fixed our washing machine, oven, fridge, and dishwasher. This is a service provider for Lowes and others. They came out to repair an ice maker on new fridge. The tech who is apparently new had no answers. He accidently spilled water all over hard wood floors which I cleaned up. Had no idea when a new part might arrive. Then our fridge completely stopped working so I place another service call. Again, the techs arrived with no idea what was wrong. They ordered yet another part and still no operating fridge. Part arrives, but they don't bother to call like they said would to schedule a repair. I schedule a repair and they fail to show up. I call in and they told me they changed to repair date to another day and forgot to call me!!!! read more

I was directed to Convenient Appliance Service by Whirlpool Corp. due to a washing machine issue, where Mark was eager to make things right and get us back up and running again as soon as possible. Wow, we had another company come out and tell us our $3000 Kitchen Aide fridge needed a compressor and that they could not do the work. The told us to just buy a new fridge. They came to fix my oven without the part that the system said it needed and said that it was on back order. I had arranged to work from home for no reason. When I called and spoke with Ryan he was very condescending and rude. The issue here is really lack and communication or courtesy.
