We found MCE thru Google after the repair person that has worked out our Bosch appliances for years had stopped traveling to Durham. We were a little apprehensive to "break in" a new repair company, but MCE came through with flying colors! Connor came to diagnose the problem, and he and Mark worked diligently to find the part for our oven, as Bosch had discontinued it. Unreliable and unapologetic. Had appointment for an appliance repair, 9:00-1:00 time frame given. Moved my schedule around to accommodate. By 1:00, no one called despite my calling twice for an update on time. A tech finally texted me after 1:00 that he would be there between 2-2:30 with no apology. I cancelled due to my morning commitments being moved to the afternoon. Still no apology. Calling another appliance company and do not recommend MCE. read more

We called to have our refrigerator fixed. We were told the part wouldn't come in for almost eight days. We were told that a price couldn't be given on a Saturday because the part stores are closed. But, we've received a call on a Sunday with a $300 price and no available part. When we asked how he came up with a price over the weekend, he told us he gets his price from a "blue book" amd he doesn't give out price quotes. Not reliable and don't trust the prices. read more

Cannot recommend this company. the first time he came out to look at my dryer, he came 15 minutes before the appointment window closed even though I told them I would have to leave for work shortly after that. No notification that he was in his way. the second time, the appointment window was set even earlier because of my work schedule and he came 45 minutes after the appointment window closed with no notification that he was going to be late. Responded promptly in the AM and advised they can contact me anytime. They never responded to me. I am now the owner of a new dishwasher. I could waste no more time waiting for them to respond to me. My whirlpool dishwasher stopped cleaning after just 3 years. Mark came out and fixed it pretty much same day. I wish I didn't have to give a star. They seemed very friendly when they came and proceeded to order a part for our freezer. We didn't hear from them for a month. We made several calls, left messages and talked with a receptionist who assured us the call would be returned and that the part was ordered. The worst service ever. They are not on time and the technician has zero knowledge of what he is doing. We had a basic issue with the stove not lighting but clicking and the technician came home to check that, he asked me if there is a supply of gas, and I said yes. He tried to check the stove and diagnosed that there is an issue with the actual gas supply and asked us to change the stove. We bought a new stove only to find out that the gas valve was off outside. We then called the company to find out why didn't they check that before and why did they tell us that the problem was with the stove's gas supply product? She was very rude to answer my questions and she responded that the technician said he asked me if the gas was on or not and I said yes hence he didn't want to look at the gas supply. I still don't understand how did he diagnose the problem in a few minutes without even checking the gas line connection. Looks like they are only focusing on quantity than quality. Very disappointed and definitely not customer friendly. Another technician from a different company resolved the issue in no time and laughed at the ignorance of the previous technician. I paid for the repair and discovered the following day, that it it still did not work and re-contacted Mark. He responded very quickly to my situation, came back the following day, and diagnosed the issue. He ordered the part and within a few days, was back to repair the issue. The problem is fixed, and he stood by his claim of 100% satisfaction - with no additional expense.
