    my aunt's wedding

I stayed here (in cabin one) for my aunt's wedding. I really enjoyed my stay & the cabin was adorable! My aunt's wedding was also so beautiful despite the heat and although a barn wedding was initially planned the hall ended up being the perfect venue and we all had a blast! the ranch is so aesthetically pleasing and the breakfast was yummy! Would definitely stay here again or for longer! Cabin one has plenty of entertaining space as well as sleeping space. My sister and I shared one bedroom while across the way my brother and cousin shared another with two double beds, and we all shared a bathroom. Downstairs there was the master and master bath. Kitchen with a small table, dining room table area, living room with comfortable couches, and a foyer. outside in the back of the cabin there were benches and chairs for people to sit and enjoy the cool night breeze. The downtown area was also super cute and had plenty of cool spots to grab coffee, tacos, etc just was a 20min drive at the least.

This is an amazing place to stay. You'll be able to see so much wildlife. If you stay on a weekday you may get even more seclusion. The breakfast tacos were also awesome!! Will be back again!!

Wow! We fell in love with Contigo Ranch! The serenity you feel staying here is like no other. The ranch is very secluded and about 20 mins from Fredericksburg. The road there is definitely something different compared to what you see in a big city. Our visit was during the week so we were the only folks on the cottage section of the property which we loved. We stayed in cottage #14 and we loved every minute of it. The views from the room were stunning and there is a bit of separation between this cottage and the others. As far as the room, it was very clean and had more than enough space for all your needs. They have light colored curtains so it was bright during the day which we didn't mind but if you need a dark room to nap/sleep please keep this in mind. The room has a small sitting area so you can comfortably eat breakfast inside the room or you can head to the porch area where they have rocking chairs and a table set to hang out outside. A light breakfast and coffee was provided. The food was yummy. The property has a lot of offer. You can walk around the property and take in the views of nature and the wildlife. They have a nice fire pit area with chairs. At night we walked around and saw a lot of stars. We went on a new moon so it was very dark and you can see a tiny tiny bit of the Milky Way. I'm sure if they didn't have so many lights on you could clearly see the Milky Way. The staff was very friendly and helped us when we had a question. It was very easy to make reservations online. Price point was a bit on the higher end of my budget but was worth it. Enchanted Rock is about 12 mins away and the wineries we visited were about 30-45 mins away. We had to drive into town for lunch and dinner since there aren't restaurants around. So keep in mind that you will drive a bit to get around.

This place currently sits at 4 1/2 stars with over 400 reviews which was enough to get us through…read morethe door. You should know, this is an intimate space with only eight 4 tops and a dozen seats at the bar and that's all. We got here on a Wednesday happy hour, and the place was almost full, so making a reservation might be in order. The happy hour food and drink specials is most likely the reason why the place was almost packed. The dinner menu takes the prices to the next level. We started off with a couple of $10 martinis and decided on four happy hour menu items. My shrimp Po boy came on a crunchy French baguette and the Seabass was cooked to perfection. No wonder this place was packed. At six on the dot a pianist took the stage and livened up the atmosphere. The happy hour crowd trickled out, and the dinner folks strolled in. We added their bruschetta as the final piece and it was really very fresh. Some notes of interest that others may have missed: 3% credit card fee, no wifi and there's mouthwash for you in the bathroom. Definitely a place to revisit. 10 informative photos to get you through the door.

We had a really frustrating experience at Martinis in Fredericksburg…read more We called ahead because it was cold, rainy, and we were traveling with babies. On the phone, they told us they had availability and could accommodate us, no mention of any restrictions or special policies. When we arrived, everything changed. Suddenly, they said they couldn't seat us because our group was "too big." Then we were told that any group of 7+ is automatically forced into a $145 per person prix fixe chef's menu. We had six adults and three babies (babies who obviously are not eating a multi-course tasting menu, they are drinking MILK) and they still tried to apply this policy to us. Not only was this never mentioned on the phone, but it felt completely unreasonable given the makeup of our group. Meanwhile, we were staring at an empty table that was big enough to fit our group. We were fully prepared to spend a significant amount of money there, and instead were turned away over a policy that should have been clearly communicated upfront. If you have strict rules like this, communicate them ahead of time, especially when people call to confirm. Don't tell guests you can accommodate them and then change everything when they arrive. The lack of transparency and flexibility made for a really disappointing experience. Would not recommend, especially for groups or anyone traveling with kids. Don't anticipate this place will be in business long.
