Thankfully, we found out that it's not quite as expensive as it looks, and we could afford to stay there, so we did! The room was wonderful and very comfortable. I love the stone wall! Only qualm I had was in regard to the shower/tub. The jacuzzi tub itself was amazing, but they put a "rainshower" head above it for showers. First of all, it was a regular showerhead pointed straight down, not a rainshower like those positioned that way should be. A sign asks you to utilize the shower curtain properly so there is no water damage... which is impossible even when using the curtain. It's just a very odd setup. There will be water damage just of how the whole thing was designed. Worst about it all, was how high the tub itself is- if you are in any way disabled (be it permanently or temporarily injured) or elderly, you are going to despise this tub/shower. I'm a 34-year old fit and active person, and I struggled getting in and out of this thing. It's awkward to start with but then add water and oh sh!t, you're going down for sure! We used the stairs for the bed and put them in the bathroom for this reason but it didn't help much. Other than that, everything else was spectacular. The staff was friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the fireplace which was SO cozy! Perfect for the chilly nights we had. They supply firewood and firestarters so it's very easy to make your own. During one of the days, it was warm enough to enjoy the pool too. Breakfast gets delivered in an adorable picnic basket and it's loaded! We expected the norm of simple breakfast options like mini boxes of cereal and muffins. Nope! Hard-boiled eggs, fruit galore, prosciutto, cheese, danishes/pastries, oatmeal, and yogurt. It was different every day and delicious every day. Treat yourself and stay here! You'll be glad you did. If you fear the wacky tub/shower, don't choose room 10. That's where we were but all the rooms are unique and others may have a better layout in the bathroom.

The room was appointed in beautiful old world charm. It had a huge king size bed that sits high off the floor, an old hard wood cloths wardrobe and night stands on each side of the bed. It was also furnished with a couch that pulls out into a bed and also a coffee table. The bathroom was great , it has a huge jacuzzi soaking tub that easily accommodates 2 . I had to use the step stool provided for the bed to get into the tub. I am only 5'1 and the tub is so deep that it's hard to get into. Yes here is not much counter space in the bathroom to put toiletries but we made do. There is also a fridge , microwave and coffee maker in the room. The grounds are well kept and the pool area is so relaxing. In the outdoor lounge area there are comfy couches and a fire place. Breakfast baskets are provided every morning and were a great touch. It was an amazing weekend and we will definitely be back.

My boyfriend and I stayed in The Loft, and it was on a side that didn't face the Main Street. Noise - Since our window didn't face Main Street, we hardly heard any noise while in the room. Whenever we stepped into the hallway there was some loudish (I'd say 6/10 on loudness) music, but none much in the room itself. It really didn't bother us since it wasn't too loud, and it's expected with staying above a brewery. Room size/cleanness/satisfaction - the room honestly was big enough for just a simple stay. There was just two of us so we didn't need a ton of room. There isn't a fridge/microwave/table or any of that, but we really didn't need it since we spent most of the time outside. Our room didn't have a window which did kinda stink for mornings, but again, it made it quieter in the room so we didn't mind it. Other than that, the room was clean and you have the choice to have a house keeper come clean or not. Convenience - having our room be right on Main Street made the trip 10x better!! We were able to just park our car in one spot and leave it all weekend. We would walk up and down doing wine tastings, shopping, etc. if we got tired, needed to change, or just wanted an hour long break, it was so easy to just go to our room and relax, then go right back down stairs without having to worry about parking, driving, etc. it really just made it easier on us and safer since we were drinking a bunch. They also give you free beer chips to get some free beer at the brewery which is really cool! Overall, I'd give this place a 9.5 out of 10, especially for relaxed people who just want to drink and have fun!! I highly recommend looking into the Bed and Brew! Lynn, one of the owners welcomed my wife and I at the driveway. Before we arrived, Lynn even washed our linens in special detergent due to a skin allergy. During the trip she was more than helpful, assisting us with sightseeing and eatery options. Lynn even called some places for us to ensure availability. The facilities were clean and the cupboards filled with thoughtful items to make our stay cozy. The bedroom windows looked onto an inviting courtyard. Each morning at 8:30, breakfast and coffee were served in the main house's dining room. The breakfast recipes were decadent and delicious. One morning we had a great time, eating at the table with a couple celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary! We would recommend this place to any of our friends.

I was trying to take a vacation and when you run your own business that's not always possible. So of course something happened while I was away that needed my immediate and timely attention. Problem was I forgot my mouse and the system I needed to work on did not allow for touch screen usage. Go figure. I went to the office and Tim provided me with a mouse to borrow and I was able to meet my deadline 6 hours later and fix the problem. We utilized everything they had to offer and loved it all. Tim also made some amazing Restuarant and Brewery recommendations too. The decor was beautiful, the bathroom was simple and stylish. I loved that we had our own keurig in the room and lots of coffee and regular and flavored creamers. The main lobby had some to go silverware and pastries for breakfast. Don't miss a tour of Signor Vineyards, a 10 minute drive West. The most beautiful vineyard and cool experience!

I understand that the cabins are old, and authentic but it would help a little. I would also recommend a little better dusting, around window sills, and windows/curtains, a fair amount of dust that came off, every time we closed the blinds or pulled the curtains. That is the only reason I rated it a 4 instead of 5.

Do not book through their website or another like hotels.com without first calling the hotel's phone number at (830) 997-3330 and confirming with someone they are back open and accepting reservations! What an awful experience it would be to arrive and find you have no place to stay! As I said, we have lovely memories of coming here. My husband and I first visited in the summer of 2002 and last visited in the winter of 2010. We stayed there a few times and our families stayed there once while we were planning our wedding in the area. It's an extremely reasonable price, just on the outskirts of town so you can avoid a lot of tourist traffic and still get around, clean, quaint and best of all, they are pet friendly! It's the best way to keep cost of a visit to the area down, while still staying in a safe and clean area. However, I have to dock a star (would've been 2 but I decided on 1 in case it was out of managements control due to health issues) because of the poor communication that is affecting others. We were in Fredericksburg for our anniversary at the end of August 2020. We were driving around, nostalgically stopping at places we used to visit and pulled in here. The place reflects they've been closed for months, especially with the covered pool and the gazebo that needs a power washing. It was sad to see, but not as sad as going to google to find out if it was a permanent or temporary closure and finding that there were several reviews of people booking rooms and showing up to a closed location! Unacceptable! Your website should reflect the closure on the first page and hopefully an ETA for reopening, but at least a message about the closure- those poor would be guests! I genuinely hope they reopen again in the future and if they do, they are worth a visit because Fredericksburg has continued to increase prices at all other accommodations, including RV parks, restaurants and shops and this is really the best way to reduce the cost of your trip.
