This is the 3rd time we've stayed here. We wanted a getaway for our 25th anniversary and like always we had such a lovely time. We were in a stand alone cottage. So adorable bed was comfortable and the huge bathroom had both a standup shower and claw tub. Breakfast delivered every morning. Had a delicious spinach egg frittata one day, and amazing French toast the next. Room comes with a fridge, coffee maker water, dishes and a little microwave. Place was within walking distance of the Main Street convenient to shopping and eating.. will for sure stay here again and OH yeah couples massage at the spa !! They're the best!!!

If you're thinking about booking a stay at HH - just do it! Absolutely beautiful property, wonderful service and attention to detail, and minutes from downtown. We called last minute and they were above and beyond with accommodating us in Ada's Cottage. We are considering this as a wedding venue, as well. We loved our stay.

    This is the main building.

Loved it. Great part of town for walking to everything but still quiet. Adorable hotel cat and a delivered breakfast. What's not to love? They had water in the mini fridge and our room has two balconies for sharing a glass of wine (H‑E‑B is just around the corner or bring your own. They have a wine opener). Only complaint is that the room needs USB plugs. Maybe one of those alarm clocks with a USB plug or something else. We'll be back!

Had some mixed feelings about this place. I think I would stay again but, would definitely make sure to pick one of the stand-alone cabins. We stayed in one attached to the great hall, which was fine since it was a week night. I imagine during the weekend it might get kind of loud. We checked in super late and didn't realize that the last 4 digits of your phone number are the key to your door. It wasn't stated in the email (if it was, I guess we missed it but, neither my boyfriend or I saw it). We struggled to get in but, once we called they immediately answered and assisted us in accessing our room. The room was cute and had a modern rustic feel too it. They give you tea and water bottles and provide a small refrigerator and dishes. The soap was also very high quality and smelt great. The breakfast is delivered promptly at 9:00 am. It will wake you up as they knock on the door 2-3 times to let you know it's there. If you like to sleep in, be aware of this. The breakfast itself was decent quality and as expected. It would be nice to have a little bit of sauce options (ketchup, hot sauce, etc.) but, it's just nice they deliver it to your room and is a cute feature of the B&B. The drawbacks were if you get a room by the great hall it only comes with a stand up shower! So if you want that claw foot tub make sure to book a suite/stand alone cabin. The shower in our room had a drainage issue and turned into a mini bath for our feet, which was gross and a big turnoff. Additionally, we were greeted to our room by a dead squirrel. It was just laying there across from the door to our room. Thankfully, my boyfriend and I have a sense of humor and realized it was probably one of the many cats on the property that left us this little gift. We did check in very late at night and the white cat was out causing trouble. Obviously, it's not the fault of Hoffman Haus but, was still kind of a gruesome welcome. On the plus side, the black and white cat was friendly and let us pet him. With that being said, giving 4 stars. I would try a different room upon returning and go based off both experiences.

We had a fantastic stay here on a Monday through Wednesday. We stayed in the Linden, which is a stand-alone cottage. There were three rooms - a living room with a TV, kitchenette, two armchairs, a couch, and a small table with two chairs; a large bedroom with king-size bed, TV, two nightstands, and closet with two suitcase racks (the ones where you can set your suitcase on there so you don't have to bend over); and a very large bathroom with shower and bathtub. There was also a shaded sitting area with two rocking chairs and a table where we ate our breakfast one morning. I loved all the space we had in Linden, especially the fact that there were two sinks with ample counter space in the bathroom, as well as two suitcase racks. The bedroom was large enough that it actually had two separate doors. Not your normal double doors but separate doors on opposite ends of the wall that was shared with the living. room. I amused myself by "apologizing" to my husband whenever I used "his" door (the door that was on the same side of the room as his side of the bed) to enter the bedroom. The lavender shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and lotion all smelled amazing. One thing I didn't love furniture-wise was the chairs at the table were metal, so they made a ton of noise when moving them. I was afraid that I would wake up my husband if I sat at the table in the morning before he got up. There were a couple of delicious toffee candies and robes to use during our visit laid out for us when we entered the bedroom - loved the presentation and those little extras. Our breakfasts were also delicious and still piping hot when we got them at 9am - there was something savory, something sweet, and fruit for both days we had breakfast there. I would definitely recommend and hope to be back soon!

Check in was quick and easy, we were in Ada's Haus. The room was big and roomy, clean and quiet. The shower had two large heads. There were plenty of towels, blankets and pillows. Breakfast was delivered each morning and was always a treat.

We absolutely LOVED our stay!! We were upgraded to a suite and breakfast was amazing!! Sitting on the porch listening to the fountain was perfect! Bed was comfortable and cozy! There were just enough dishes for us to use and coffee, with creamer went perfect with our delicious breakfast. It was so quiet and relaxing. Even the toiletries were awesome!! Highly recommended!!

Just got back from a Women's retreat here. It was super wonderful. Loved the feel of the place. We stayed upstairs in the main house but there were many cottages too. I really liked our suite-the Alamo Suite-because we had a nice bedroom and bath plus a front room with a couch and another half bath. It was nice because we had some privacy and each got our own bathroom (shared the master suite shower). The king bed was super comfortable! More comfortable than my new mattress at home. We had a coffee bar/frig etc between the two rooms. I loved their coffee in the morning. So yummy and strong. This bed and breakfast is so beautiful and was totally conducive to our event. I loved the main building where we had our meetings. The stage was really pretty and the room was perfectly tailored for our event. Their food was really good! The best breakfasts ever! And all the other meals were really good too. My sister stayed here a few years ago for a wedding and loved it too. I would definitely come back!

The BEST bed and breakfast. Everything was above and beyond. Great area, close to all the shops, amazing staff. Could not recommend this place more!

Wife and I planned a last second babymoon. We were thrilled to find they had a cabin available. The room was clean and adorable! The soaps were awesome! And the breakfast provided the next day was absolutely delicious. Some of the best French toast I've had. We would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful place to stay at. We had a one day stay over. Room was clean and cozy. Great customer service. The breakfast basket was such a treat and delivered at 9am like clockwork. Hope to come back and stay In their Victorian 2 floor house on the property. Despite covid restrictions this place would be a real gem for a celebration of any sort!

The Edge is a multi-purpose venue that serves as a restaurant when not hosting private events. It's not a winery and doesn't produce its own wines. Instead, it curates a selection of wines and offers a solid food menu for those looking for something other than ridiculously overpriced charcuterie boards. Now that we've got that straight, let's dive in. The Edge is the chameleon of Fredericksburg and adapts to what guests need. It sits on a beautiful property with stunning views, it offers ample space for large parties and plenty of TVs--perfect for catching football games during the season. The food? Definitely worth mentioning. The food options are predominantly American. I ordered a burger and a Pizza Roll and I couldn't stop raving about that damn roll (FYI, it's not a Totino's sized pizza roll). Despite the initial confusion, The Edge turned out to be a great find along the 290 Wine Shuttle route. Service: not the greatest, lots of lax young employees. Food took a while and was inconsistent in our party. Be prepared to learn the art of patience.

Vibe is euro-bistro and the staff is perfectly attentive. Prices are high, but honestly aligned to the quality of the food, at least the dishes we had were worth the prices. Food: Buttermilk Fried Chicken, with Onion/Bacon flash fried collard greens, whipped potatoes and house gravy and Jalapeno Cornbread for $32 Reuben on Marble Rye for $24 16oz Stella Artois for $10 We agreed that the fried chicken (5/5) was the best we could remember having. Whipped potatoes (5/5) were light, fluffy and perfect taste/texture. The gravy was like brown butter (5/5). The collard greens (5/5) were flash fried and if you've never had them like this, it's like eating collard green potato chips. Cornbread (3/4) was a bit too delicate and sweet for our taste. You couldn't pick it up without it falling apart. The Ruben (3/5). My wife loves a good Ruben sandwich. This one had the makings of a good one, but they use a Thousand Island sauce (too much of it) on the sandwich, and it hides the flavor of the meat. Next time we would ask for the sandwich without the TI sauce, see if that improves the rating. The sandwich came with house made potato chips (5/5), a small house salad with vinaigrette (5/5) and a large, pickled cucumber. I know, that's a pickle, but these are cucumbers that have gone maybe a third of the way through the process, so the cucumber taste is really prevalent. Lastly, we had the Creme Brulé (3/5) for dessert. It was nice, but the custard was coffee and caramel flavored, and we prefer the standard custard look and flavor. The caramel should come from the top layer, not the custard. The top layer was a bit too thick as well. We liked it, just didn't love it. Overall, quality food, service and vibe with prices that are aligned to more special occasions than everyday eating out. We'll be back to try the Monday Crawfish Etoufee and the Tuesday Duck Confit daily specials...look too good to pass up.

This venture has been a dream for owners Mike & Rosann Mitrione. Their first vineyard was established in the Texas High Plains in 2018, where they planted around 15 varietals across 27 acres. In 2021, they began designing and planning their new 38-acre Texas Hill Country vineyard. They started planting their estate vineyard in 2022 and have now expanded to 9 acres of vines including Albariño, Petite Sirah, Montepulciano, Syrah, and Aglianico. Since opening to the public in summer of 2023, they've maintained a steadfast commitment to producing 100% Texas wines. When you enter the tasting room, you will immediately notice the impressive Texas granite structure adorned with a symbol that reflects the Ross family's core values: Faith, Family, Friends, and Fellowship. The two-story, eco-friendly tasting facility is semi-circular and built into the hillside - reminiscent of a piazza in Italy. It has an upscale vibe, high-end design, and comfort in mind lending to its artistic flair. Facing east, the tasting room stays cooler both inside and out, enhancing the experience. Another notable feature are the large tables made from repurposed old pecan trees found on the property. Well known Texas winemaker Tim Drake has been helping in the crafting of some very fine wine here. Most focus has been primarily on Italian style wines which reflects the owner's wine travels. Most grapes are sourced from the High Plains vineyard estate with some future Hill Country estate wines to come. First to sample was the '23 Sauvignon Blanc which is sourced from the High Plains estate vineyard. Citrus & melons will be the first notes to light up your wine palate followed by zesty acidity. The second white wine sampled was the '23 Bisaccia. This Italian style blend, named after Michael's grandfather's Italian town, was crafted with 57% Trebbiano, 39% Albariño, and 4% Pinot Grigio. It is dry with dried apricot notes and minerality. An extra white wine treat was the Windswept. This Rhone style blend (yes, departure from the Italian theme, but that's ok) is a blend of 52% Viognier and 48% Roussanne. It is a lovely lighter Rhone style wine with buttery notes, a tango between apricot and pear, and a hint of minerality. Moving to the Rosé wines, the first to sample was the '24 Sangiovese Rosé. It had a pink colored hue with notes of watermelon and strawberry coupled with good acids. It also had more of a Provence style feel to it for an added pleasant. The next Rosé wine sipped was the '24 Vega. It is Malbec based with some raspberry notes and a nice soft and refreshing feel. Moving into the reds, the first to sample was the '23 Grenache. It was aged in Russian oak (yes, for real), exhibited a deep brick rusty color, lots of good fruit forwardness and a touch of smoke. Next, was the '22 Piazza Rossa. This super Tuscan style wine has 67% Sangiovese, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 11% Merlot. To say it has a big nose is an understatement, but you will also be impressed by its deep dark color, and notes of fig. Plus, the finish is to die for! Saving the best for last red to sip, was the '22 Envisage. This right bank Bordeaux style wine (yes, not exactly Italian, but still great) was carefully crafted with 46% Merlot, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 16% Malbec. It has nice rich dark fruit, some baking spices, good tannins and acidity, and a smooth finish. Overall, it was a very fine and enjoyable tasting session with everything being spot on. When dreams are realized, magic happens. You can see this not only in the quality wines produced, but the tasting room design, décor, and cool vibes. There is a food truck on site that will whip up some good eats to pair with your wine. You will experience great hospitality here as well. The team is very professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to help ensure you have the tasting experience you desire. You will feel well cared for and comfortable here and will want to return. Cheers!

She explained the options for tasting to us and informed us that there was a food truck onsite as well. We opted to do the red wine tasting . The tasting started with a Grenache ( full bodied, very fruity but not sweet) the grapes really shine, next was the Sangiovese which was even better. We went through a series of 5 wines that all were made with exceptional care as none were left to waste. My favorite was the 1 Sangiovese, 2 Grenache, 3 Tempranillo. We also purchased a pizza from the food truck onsite. It was a margarita pizza ( large enough for two to share as a medium snack). If your hungry you made need more. They have more than pizza as well. We bought a bottle of Sangiovese and will definitely return. Excellent live performer and extraordinary service !!
