Friendly store with amazing peaches! They also have various homemade preserves to purchase as well.

According to the Yelp page, Eckhardt Farms store in Fredericksburg is closed. That is not correct…read more It's open every day in the summer. I just came from there, so I know that it is open. Their peaches are so sweet, and they sell fresh vegetables from all around the neighboring farms, including their own. I was able to purchase the freshest okra bunch, zucchini and yellow squash and of course, tomatoes. So fresh and so delicious! They have these young high school kids who work the front of the store as well as cashiering. The place is self-service, unless you need someone to help carry your purchases. These kids are very helpful when you need them. They are all fresh-faced country raised kids. They look so healthy! As for the ambiance, it's an outdoor store and the breeze was blowing through the store today. It was wonderful! So far, the summer in the Texas hill country has been very pleasant. Not hot at all! I'm so happy!

A great place for peaches. My wife complains that the Fredericksburg peaches we get at HEB are not…read moreas good as Georgia peaches. I accepted the challenge. We usually go up to Fredericksburg to go to Augusta Vin for a tasting. She was a little disappointed when I pulled into Eckhardt Orchards. I'm not a fan of cling peaches. I was excited to see the Harvester freestone peaches were available. They are definitely a larger peach. They also have a lot of other produce available, but the target was peaches this time. It's always nice and breezy here. So I bought some Harvester peaches with the intent of making a peach crisp. Skins on for me. My wife and I tasted the peaches that I was cutting up. I have to say, some of the best peaches we have tasted. Intense peach flavor. I made the peach crisp and our guests remarked about the intense peach flavor. This is a must stop when driving to Fredericksburg.

I recently visited Lock, Stock & Barrel in Fredericksburg and had a wonderful shopping experience…read more I suggest this as one of your first stops on the strip. Since nothing else will compare in your adventures!! The store offers an impressive selection of gourmet foods, sauces, seasonings, and specialty products that are perfect for gifts and/or enjoying at home. My favorite purchases were the balsamic vinaigrettes. I also enjoyed sampling the various jellies, jams, and dip mixes before making my selections. The spice rubs and seasonings were another standout, offering unique flavors that are perfect for grilling and cooking. The staff was super friendly (Mason was my most favorite employee) he was patient and opened jars that weren't readily available. I ended up buying jars of everything he opened for me! What a great salesman and wonderful human! It was a memorable experience. If you're visiting Fredericksburg, Lock, Stock & Barrel is a must-stop destination for high-quality Texas-made products and unique gourmet treats. I look forward to returning and trying even more of their wonderful offerings. This was a super positive experience! May 2026

This may be the best store I have ever been in. They have…read morean amazing variety of snacks and treats and cookware. They also have samples of pretty much everything that they offer. Usually I love it when stores offer samples because it's easy for me to weed out the things that I thought I might have wanted, but then didn't enjoy. At Lock Stock & Barrel, it's damning, because each item tastes better than the last and I start filling my arms with more than I can carry! If you're not careful, you will spend a fortune in here... But if you are careful, where's the joy? The only suggestion I have for this place is that they start carrying their shirts in larger sizes. In addition to the syrups and honey and dips in my arms, there was also a shirt I wanted to pile on the top of my haul but I had to forgo that one because their largest size was a medium :( Definitely bring your tastebuds and your sense of adventure and of course your wallet and have a great time here!
