My recent experience on April 11th was excellent. I have a chronic health condition which can affect eye health in a serious manner, and I was very concerned when I arrived. I have had very professional and specialized eye exams from Dr. Leon for many years who has now retired. I was subsequently served by Dr. Williams who was a very kind, detailed and brilliant physician. My new provider is Dr. Dimmick, who is very kind, experienced and professional. He "heard" all of my concerns , was an excellent listener, and offered very professional guidance and follow up. In the past , we have been served by Mike the optician who has a wealth of experience, and can fix any eyeglass issue. On this recent visit, I especially want to thank Rebecca the initial technician, and Derrick , optician, for their kind, detailed and very helpful expertise. Rebecca is thorough, and the visit was made so much easier by her care. Derrick is patient, and spent a great deal of time with my optical needs, and in assisting with possible new glasses. Overall, I highly recommend the medical care at this facility, and encourage patrons to be patient with tech issues that may arise. TPD

I was recently told that I had an eyelid issue that required the services of an eye surgeon who…read morespecializes in eyelids. I was referred to Dr. Patricia LaFleur at the eye Institute for medicine and surgery. I was quite apprehensive as I have never had any type of eyelid surgery or eye. surgery or facial surgery before. I think that Dr. LaFleur was the nicest person I've ever met. Honestly. She put me at ease right away and was so kind and understanding, particularly given that I was a bit nervous. She answered all of my questions and was very patient with me. The surgery went extraordinarily well and it is as though the condition was never there to begin with. I was also concerned about the possibility of scarring at the incision site but I am so pleased to say that there's no evidence of scarring whatsoever. On another note, her assistants in the Office were also nice, friendly and polite. They were very professional and obviously everyone had a great deal of experience. The whole situation was as excellent as it possibly could be. If somebody else needs this kind of medical service and they live anywhere in the Melbourne, Suntree, or Rockledge area, take it from me, there's no need to travel all the way to Bascom Palmer or to mayo clinic. We're fortunate to have the best eyelid surgeon anywhere right here in Melbourne. Her name is Dr. Patricia LaFleur and she is a surgeon at the eye Institute for medicine and surgery.

Zero stars! Florida eye institute in Melbourne FL! Do not go unless these are the last providers on…read morethe planet and you have the entire day to wait on the subpar service because they will keep you there all day. This review isn't going to hurt their take home pay... but if it thwarts one person away from this "institute" I will have fond my job. If lying through your teeth while saying, "they are bringing him back next" was an Olympic sport, this front desk would have gold medals. Then when you get to the back it is a continuous shuffling of more persons I wouldn't hire to clean out a barn stall with the first stop at a woman who had the personality of a donkey. To tell someone "they were next", "shouldn't be much longer" (and if you say something they take others in front of you in their sick power controlling behavior) so when you are there from 915 AM (after a 50 min drive!) then aren't leaning until 11:52 because they gaggle of girls saying "won't be much longer" now want to go to lunch so they can fuel up to start the Olympic sport of telling the afternoon crowd, "it shouldn't be too much longer". Oh... and I reached out to speak to an administrator, well you guessed it. No response! She must be the speaker at their covered dish luncheon explaining how to say "we don't give a d### about the patient's time or concerns" in new ways. "Shouldn't he to much longer", "they have his chart now", "we are short staffed today","equipment down"..... never the truth ! Never would you like to reappoint, never an apology! I hear the doctor is good here. 1:23 do one doctor doesn't balance out the 23 others on staff. Choose another eye doctor.

I went back…read moreafter two weeks and was told they would likely be available in 3-4 days and that they would call me when they came in. I didn't receive a call and so went back after four weeks. They weren't open during regular business hours. I spoke to customer service in the store and they left a note to call me. I received a call by the woman who I ordered the glasses from the following Monday saying they were looking into it. No further communication by the weekend and so I went back again after five weeks. The woman was having trouble even finding the order. She then started "fixing" the order as if she was going to start the process all over again. I asked for a refund. The woman started explaining that the person who took the order was incompetent with personal issues. She continued "fixing" the order. I stated that I just wanted the fucking refund. That set her off. She became hysterical. She started issuing directives attempting to regulate my speech. I started recording her then. She called her husband on the phone. She asked him to come down to the store to deal with me because I had used a curse word, not directed at her in any way, and was filming her. It continued to escalate. The optometrist came out of her office and tried to get the woman to stop escalating with her husband and mediate the situation. Store management arrived. They asked me not to film her and I reiterated my request for a refund. Once she finally started the refund process I stopped filming her. After quite a bit of discussion and many attempts, the manager was finally able to access the order and issue a refund. The woman who took my order was incompetent. The woman who I dealt with for the refund was incompetent, easily offended and authoritarian. Their ordering system likely has issues beyond the incompetence of the operators. Blaming the employee is not a solution to the problem. The problem is systemic. The optometrist was highly professional as were management.
