What a great way that we spent the first half of our Saturday afternoon. Even more fun as there was a live local band performing as well. DJay and the OGs. Performed some great oldies which went great with our visit and glasses of wine. We spent good out here, the location filled up fairly quickly. Some were celebrating a birthday others already had their tables reserved and some like us, just happen to pop up at the right time. They have nice seating set up inside but we enjoyed the outside seating much better as it was a beautiful day out. Some tables do have umbrellas with them. The two workers this day were polite and would walk outside to check on each guest ensuring that they were okay during their visit, which was a nice added touch. I was looking for a menu that had a charcuterie board option, but did not seem to see one, although I did notice a nice stack of boards behind the counter. They also have a small refrigerated area that has premade platters that you would find like in a grocery store that resembles a charcuterie board or a cheese platter.. but for the time that we were there checking it out for the first time, we enjoyed ourselves, our wine selection, our breadsticks, and just the overall great people that were there that day. This is a cute place for wine tasting, fruit flavored wine slushy, olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Pick four wines for $10 tasting. Oils and vinegars are available for tastings upon request. My favorite oils were the rosemary garlic and red chili garlic oil. Very flavorful oils, highly recommend! Surprising to my tastebuds, recommended to me was the Merlot and that was what I walked out of the store with. Great service and I learned quite a bit from our sommelier! Consumnes River Farm was one of several Rest Stops during the 2019 "Best Ride Ever" bike event sponsored by the San Joaquin Bike Coalition. This event ride was both for the 50k and 100k bike ride. Honestly, I would have never known Consumnes River was here so a HUGE thanks to SJ Bike Coalition! I met the owner Jackie Gifford and her husband during my rest stop. She provided tastings for her vinegar specialties, and I really enjoyed her Bellindora brand of vinegars especially the Honey & Ginger which I bought almost a case full. This was a treat for me as I love vinegar because of its beneficial natural health properties. I find a teaspoon of vinegar and a spoonful of honey daily keeps the bugs away. Consumnes River also has a fantastic outdoor patio where I was told by one of San Joaquin Bike Coalition volunteers, you can bring your picnic basket here, and enjoy the local grown wines from Consumnes. You can also RSVP for special events and have your parties catered privately. I will definitely come back and have to try out their home grown wines when I'm not cycling. Cheers! read more

In town visiting my dad who has mobility challenges...I chose this winery for no other reason than I thought it would provide a pretty country drive and I called ahead to make sure it was wheelchair accessible. The gentleman on the phone was so friendly and reassuring that we made the trip. Once we arrived, we were greeted by Monette (hope I spelled that correctly!) - so warm and welcoming and accommodating! She is so knowledgable and friendly and kind - I would recommend this beautiful winery to anyone in the area! And the wine is so good, and the tastings and glass/bottle prices so incredibly reasonable! If you remember "old" Lodi, casual visits with the winemakers, etc. - Consumnes River Farm is where you want to be! read more

We found this little gem by chance as we were driving to the Consumnes River Preserve for a family hike. This is a small, quiet, family-friendly winery that is situated off the beaten path. They have homemade olive oil and vinegar tasting which the whole family can partake in. Outside there was a cornhole game and a giant checkers board for the kids to play with. The prices were reasonable and given that they make wine, olive-oil, and vinegar, all of it was surprisingly good. We will be back. read more

I'm new to the area and while I was out exploring, I drove past Consumnes River Farm. I tried to look them up on yelp and CRF was no where on the map, I added them today so now everyone can check out this hidden treasure between Elk grove and Thornton. We were greeted by the owners who welcomed us to their new location. Both explained to us their different varieties of vinegar and oils which we tried after tasting their 3 wines named District 11. I enjoyed pretty much all of the oils and vinegars. You must try the garlic olive oil and the habanero oil, I purchased both but cant wait to go back and pick up the champagne pear vinegar. District 11 was just bottled 3 weeks ago so the owner explained that the chardonnay wine would have bottled taste. In the first few sips I does but then your palate will taste the crisp delicious wine perfect for a warm summer day. The zinfandel, what this area is known for did not disappoint, I took a bottle of this home for my family to try they also enjoyed the bold earthy taste. They also have a sparkling wine which my friend absolutely loved she's a huge sparkling wine connoisseur. Once your done tasting grab a glass of your favorite and relax under the big trees and just enjoy this place. I completely recommend this place to my family and friends and you should check it out too you wont be disappointed. read more

Love this winery! Close to where I spend my free time - the Cosumnes River Preserve. The staff is super friendly- ask them about the history of the winery- it is so interesting. Their slushies are so yummy and their wine is great. And while you taste you can also spend time checking out the oils and vinegars that they make and sell. We like to hang outside in their great patio area and chill. Sometimes they have music. They also have Paint n Sip classes on the weekends - I have done a few. The winery is out in the country and has a great vibe. Check it out! read more

What a cute hidden gem!!! Their tasting menu has something for everyone from sparkling wine to slushies! I love all of their reds. There's also a free table for olive oil and balsamic vinegar tastings. I ended up signing up to be a wine club member AND buying a couple bottles of olive oils and balsamic vinegars myself. Oh My GOD I'm never disappointed when I come here! The Moscato is sweet and extremely flavorful! You can not go wrong on any of the flavored Olive oils and balsamic vinegars which are available for free tasting! Wine tasting is 5$ per person but is waived with a purchase! This is such a beautiful setting and extremely peaceful! They even offer wine slushies, oh my! A venue across the street is alsp available for your wedding or special events!!! We came to this winery from out of town exploring places next to our Airbnb and we were pleasantly surprised. Very good wine and very nice gal helping us out (I didn't catch her name) , nice and hospitable to my kids which I appreciate because it was their first time at a winery, I typically wouldn't bring them but being out of town we had no sitters. We enjoyed the sparkling wine and nice scenery and left with a couple bottles of merlot. We will be back :) read more

We heard about this place when it was covered on our local news station. They made it seem like a large venue with a farm and great wine. The place is rather cozy. They have several oils and vinegars and a few gift items. Nice grounds for a picnic and meh oils and vinegars. The wine is way below average. read more

This place is as friendly as it gets, Kenny and Jackie are exceptional people and make you feel like family when your here. The country atmosphere is very relaxing and would be great for gatherings. All of the wines are 5 star to say the least. They just came out with a Moscato that is out of this world good. The olive oil and vinegars are absolutely amazing. The blackberry is my favorite and goes great on a California roll or as a marinade on chicken. My wife and I try to plan at least one trip a month to stock up on the vinegar, olive oil and especially the wine. read more

I recently took the koi painting class and it was wonderful. While we painted we enjoyed some wine (I chose bubbly), cheese & salami provided by the teacher. Of course the winery hostess is out of this world! If you don't want to sign up for a class just take a picnic and enjoy the lovely shaded patio & picnic tables. I bought some yummy olive oils also.
