This is a cute place for wine tasting, fruit flavored wine slushy, olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Pick four wines for $10 tasting. Oils and vinegars are available for tastings upon request. My favorite oils were the rosemary garlic and red chili garlic oil. Very flavorful oils, highly recommend! Surprising to my tastebuds, recommended to me was the Merlot and that was what I walked out of the store with. Great service and I learned quite a bit from our sommelier! This place is family owned and operated. Open Friday to Sunday.

    Excellent vinegar collections.

Consumnes River Farm was one of several Rest Stops during the 2019 "Best Ride Ever" bike event sponsored by the San Joaquin Bike Coalition. This event ride was both for the 50k and 100k bike ride. Honestly, I would have never known Consumnes River was here so a HUGE thanks to SJ Bike Coalition! I met the owner Jackie Gifford and her husband during my rest stop. She provided tastings for her vinegar specialties, and I really enjoyed her Bellindora brand of vinegars especially the Honey & Ginger which I bought almost a case full. This was a treat for me as I love vinegar because of its beneficial natural health properties. I find a teaspoon of vinegar and a spoonful of honey daily keeps the bugs away. Consumnes River also has a fantastic outdoor patio where I was told by one of San Joaquin Bike Coalition volunteers, you can bring your picnic basket here, and enjoy the local grown wines from Consumnes. You can also RSVP for special events and have your parties catered privately. I will definitely come back and have to try out their home grown wines when I'm not cycling. Cheers!

    Enjoyed the Merlot!

Great little find close to home. Came because our friend Tressa was playing. Super friendly and attentive staff and really nice Merlot! A bit on the cold side today, but the outdoor fireplace was so inviting and toasty! Looking forward to coming back in the warmer months to hang out on their cute patio.

    Patio is perfect!

Love this place!!! Great service, tasty wines and wine slushees!!! When the weather is nice, I enjoy sitting in the outside patio area. Inside the tasting room they have olives, chips, crackers and other tasty snacks. Very organized and clean restrooms (always a plus). So worth the drive...if you haven't been yet make it a point to stop by, you won't regret it!

    Beautiful sunset over the vineyard

We had a reservation for a Harvest Host night. We arrived to live music, perfect weather and a very welcoming ambiance. A perfect way to spend an afternoon, the Merlot was our favorite.

We just held a surprise 30th birthday here for my daughter. It was a wonderful time. Perfect venue. The patio space was wonderful. The staff was so helpful. Absolutely beautiful day!

A giant checkers game and corn hole can be played on the patio

We found this little gem by chance as we were driving to the Consumnes River Preserve for a family hike. This is a small, quiet, family-friendly winery that is situated off the beaten path. They have homemade olive oil and vinegar tasting which the whole family can partake in. Outside there was a cornhole game and a giant checkers board for the kids to play with. The prices were reasonable and given that they make wine, olive-oil, and vinegar, all of it was surprisingly good. We will be back.

Fun West Sac hangout place!!…read more Parking: moderately difficult (metered, popular area) Ambience: 10/10: live music, outdoor under the open sky, super relaxing. Great crowd and overall flow. Entry: there's a line for ID check and wristbands, but it moves quickly. Restrooms: clean, 5 stalls per gender with plenty of sinks. No line when I went. Seating: mostly outdoor. Options include long canopy tables (fits: 6-8 people) or fireplace seating (extra $10). The building itself has really interesting architecture: loved it. There's also a small indoor area called "The Wing" with a nice bar and fun photo props. Service: ordering is done via QR code at your table and paid upfront. Food comes out fast (5-10 minutes). One hiccup: they dropped another table's pizzas at ours without confirming, and sauces cost extra, even basic ones like hot sauce have to be ordered online. Food & drinks: burgers, pizza, wings, fries. Drinks: beers and ciders. Highly recommend the lavender lemonade. Overall: great spot for casual hangouts with friends: definitely a fun place to bring guests.

We came it to just enjoy a quick beer and head out. The open space and kind of camp out vibe was amazing. If it's hot try to grab a space with shade otherwise you would get cooked. They have fire pits and games so you really can't go wrong. The food was ok, we got a pizza and the lemon hummus with veggies. The pizza was decent but the flour on the bottom took away the flavor. Mind you I love that they to woodfire pizza, I make woodfire pizza at home but ya just gatta watch the flour underneath to not lose the flavor or the crispness of the dough. The hummus was ok, I was hoping for a more lemony flavor and the veggies were cut really thin. As far as bang for you buck it was ok. They had women great beers and drinks on then menu so honestly the environment is set up for vibes. The food could use a little more love but honestly it's a great spot because in the end ... decent food, good friends, drinks and vibes ... you cant beat that.

We…read morevisited this place for the first time as part of a birthday party (but it was actually a cover for the birthday celebrant to propose to his girlfriend -- teehee -- which he did, on the second-floor balcony, and our group got to watch and cheer from the ground). It was a cold afternoon/evening in December, but we dressed warmly and stayed by the firepit. There were maybe 4-6 other clusters of people there also, and definitely another birthday party going on because the guests were singing along loudly to a special request playlist that the staff played on the speaker for them. I thought it was a good number of people considering how cold and dark it got. Our group brought a bunch of kids, and they pretty much explored the grounds the whole time -- feeding the animals, making friends with other kids, and having a blast. Food from the food truck was fine, just be careful leaving your food out unattended because some random dog gobbled our burger when we weren't looking. It's a beautiful spot. We should all be so grateful for having access to it, basically for free. Drinks were good. Good vibes. Super relaxing to be out in nature. Friendly staff. As of this review, you can reserve areas for parties/events for free, and you can bring in your own food and drinks, excluding alcohol, of course, since they are a brewery. I'm sure it gets crazy busy during the warmer months, but it is worth a visit even in the cold. Just dress right.

Though near the 80, Ruhstaller Farm is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. There's no conspicuous signage. It's easily possible to drive right by & never know what's here. & yet, the few times I've been here, generally later on a Friday or Saturday night, it's obvious that Ruhstaller Farm is the busiest place for many miles around in any direction. It's somewhat puzzling to me. Add in the idyllic bucolic vibes, & this place feels is a bit surreal to me. There's something about the frolicking farm ambiance here that reminds me of the Aliki Farms skit from the 1st episode Portlandia.* So how do I know about Ruhstaller Farm? A friend I homebrewed with for years lives in Dixon. Being beer nerds enough to brew it ourselves, we'd stumbled across Ruhstaller beers a long time ago. That early stuff was rough. The beers pouring now at Ruhstaller Farm are definitely a drastic improvement. The bar staff has always been friendly. & really, this is a nice place to relax & enjoy a beer. But that's it. I'll come through once in a while & have a beer or 2. I'm not staying. No matter how much anyone might say they'd love me to stay, & I'm absolutely not putting on a frilly dress. *https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=If41cZMBgqA

Shaye was an absolute delight to work with and we always felt cared for. As a queer couple, it was so nice to feel welcomed and accepted by Scribner Bend and all of their preferred vendors we spoke with. May was the perfect time to be there, the white roses on the arches were in bloom which complemented the rest of our florals beautifully.
