Derek replied really fast and quick and with patience on every issue or request. He is really eager to help me resolve any concerns and problems that I have and throw at him. And his crew has the best customer service to all the contracting I've dealt with this ADU project. Even that he is out of state to my project, his responding rate and resolution are far better and exceptional compared to my local contractors! Their website is the most friendly and quick simple quote that I didn't have to WAIT for a service quote to get back to me like all other window companies and still getting my requests incorrectly. I love their website quick quote features and the amount of optional features to my desire. They really held my hand through the entire measurement process and making sure it's correct. And my order actually came not only on time and actually arrived 1 full week early. Just as promised delivery date! I will definitely order from him on my next future projects but will persist for his tier 3 window quality.

The build was a 400 square foot home that is insulated in closed and open cell to increase the R-value. Our concern was the windows because of the amount that was planned for the build. 8 windows were to be installed and the build is located in east Texas. I was fairly worried because how hot it can be. Therefore, we decided to look for windows that weren't the cheapest but not the most expensive. I would tell you after installing them, make sure to do your homework and never cheap out on windows. The installation was really easy with step by step instructions. The delivery was awesome because they communicated with me weekly via email and text. I did call once to verify and they were very he[pful. Once in, the windows and sliding door have a robust look and feel. We only had to put in a small mini split A/C that runs off 110 volts due to the insulation and windows. Its basically a yeti cooler in the summer. I timed how long it took to cool down and it was around 12-15 minutes. Due to the fast delivery, installation and look, I won't by any other windows. great company!

He quickly gained more knowledge and experience than I had, and I ended up in the "drive him places and pay for stuff" position. So he gets a welder for Christmas and then needs some stock to build a welding bench. I tell him to make a plan about what he needs and to find a metal shop and we'll go get a quote and pick Up what he needs. Man, I was figuring he was gonna be in for a rough ride on this one. But the guys at Westbrook we AWESOME. Super patient with him walking through his project, giving him a quote, working on a re-quote, and when the price still wasn't in the dad budget, helped him select some useable parts from the scrap area to work towards what he needed. And when they learned he was just starting out, they said "hold on, we've got some scrap that's too small to sell" and handed him a box with about 10 pounds of small parts and told him to go practice... which he did." (He managed to build a nightstand like table with them... not bad!) Long story short, my son has a new hobby and I will basically go here from now on whenever we need metal or welding supplies, because the level of service is out of this world.

Recently, after placing an order with Door Outlet, I received incorrect and/or poorly manufactured items. While going through attempts to rectify, I was sent up to Don (the owner?) and in a normal text conversation trying to find out a timeline, there was a delay for a"spider bite". In a check in follow up, he, the business owner sent me inappropriate and unsolicited photos of his body, allegedly to show the spider bite. This behavior is completely unacceptable and horrifying, especially considering that I have never met this person in any capacity. No matter who agrees or disagrees as to the items purchased and the disgruntled nature that I as a customer may have felt, this photo incident is a severe breach of professional conduct and decency. No customer should ever be subjected to such inappropriate behavior. I strongly urge Door Outlet to take immediate action to address this issue and ensure that their communication practices are respectful and professional at all times. I hope this review serves as a warning to others and a wake-up call for them to implement strict guidelines and training on appropriate customer interactions.

We went the DIY route, measuring and installing 6 solar screens ourselves. Ours is a new home with…read morealuminum-framed windows. The back of our home faces west, so the afternoon sun in the summer can be brutal. We bought the wider framed screens with a cross brace, since our windows are rather large (35" x 70"). We chose 90% screens because of the western exposure. Ordering the screens was easy, particularly since all of the windows we wanted to screen are the same size. But our windows have narrow recessed edges so we weren't sure at first about installation. We didn't want to void the window warranty by using screws. So we sized the screens to match the protruding portion of the windows and purchased heavy-duty outdoor Velcro strips (1" x 4") to attach the screens. Our process was to attach the fuzzy side of the Velcro in the same location on the frame of each solar screen. This made them all interchangeable. Then we put the matching half of the Velcro in place on the screen. Lastly, we removed the backing, lined up the screens, and carefully put each screen in place, pressing firmly to secure. We chose to attach Velcro only on the sides of the screen frames, for ease of removal when we want the sun's heat and light in the winter. The frame color we chose closely matches the original window frames and house trim, and the black screen matches our screen porch, so the solar screens look very much like they belong. I recommend you be choosy when selecting frame and screen colors, as they can change the overall look of your home. Picking up your DIY screen order is an efficient process: when the screens are ready (ours took about a week), an email arrives with directions to a small industrial park, a code to enter the stowage space, and the location within of your screens. Once inside, there are doors to compartments that contain orders. This is how 24-hour pickup is made possible. My only gripe, a minor one, is that one of the 6 screens has an obviously darker area, perhaps a crease in the fabric. But, all in all, this was a great experience. We expect our west-facing rooms will be more comfortable this summer than the last one.
