So I do, the order gets cancelled twice when I order online and of course no one understands how that could happen. They tell me they can not figure out how to sell me the item. I then stepped outside to try to see why the online order was cancelled and they closed the store 15 minutes early and ignored me. Will not be returning

I'm also pretty familiar with the way The Home Depot runs their stores because they used to be the only large home improvement chain in the area though perhaps not this particular store. It was either them or the local hardware store. The local hardware store was good for some small things but The Home Depot was where you did your "shopping" for this kind of stuff. Sort of like a convenience store versus a grocery store. The biggest issue I have is that if I need help I either can't find it or I only find someone that doesn't know anything about my particular item search. Luckily I know enough that I don't need any real help unless something is too big or too high to reach safely.

We were attempting to request a simple refund for my father-in-law who has difficulty hearing. I assumed he misunderstood something when he came home with more lumber and no refund. I returned to the Porter location where the manager was very helpful in attempting to explain and reach out to the Jensen location for approval for the refund. She came back with the same answer so I attempted to call and explain that my father-in-law never received the material and the material was not even available during the 15 refund window they were holding him to. Christopher was immediately snarky and spoke to me like a child, he told me to stop crying just because I wasn't getting what I wanted and to get over it because they can do what they want. He said he reports to himself and has no boss when I told him he was being unprofessional and I wanted to speak to someone else. If this is what Martin stands for as far as customer service, I hope people see them for what they are and make their purchases elsewhere.

Tracking someone down takes time and unfortunately when I do get a hold of an employee, they are clueless as so where anything is located or if it even exists. That's frustrating but it's not the end of the world. Update!! So it's been a couple years since I started going to this Lowe's and in the beginning it was obviously not my favorite given my first review, but I am happy to say that this has all changed. I am now greeted by employees much more than before, they are also easier to find and they are eager to help. Shout out to Jimmy from the hardware department for going above and beyond to help me with my ping pong table project. Jimmy even helped me pick out the perfect paint color and he also loaded everything up in my truck. Jimmy needs some recognition for his excellent customer service and willingness to help. Keep it up Lowe's, your employees are proving that they are happy to be at work and that is a major accomplishment.

We would prefer stopping here since it's so close with convenient parking. However rarely have I seen service vary so much at one establishment. If you get one of younger folks they're not very helpfully or knowledgeable. In fact they make you feel like your presence is a distraction. However if you get one of older folks they know what products they have, where to find them in store and if necessary takes you to the spot. Since you don't know who you going to get we normally bypass the place unless we're pushed for time or know exactly what we're looking for and where it's located.
