I've shopped Potetz for years and they don't always have the item I need but its quick in and out…read moreshopping when they do. Often they ask if help is needed when entering and I've had help finding items in the past. Evidently, they must really dislike cutting vinyl to not sell any that is right there in stock, with employees available.? They have a sign posted near the machine that they don't cut vinyl after 4, which an employee stated he gets off at 4 as he pushed the button for me to see one of the styles. Not a problem since it was 3:40. I didn't linger or need a complicated order. Just one cut across and I take the whole piece. I turned to say how many feet and he had walked off to go talk to the cashiers. I went over and asked to get flooring cut and one of the ladies said, "We don't cut after 3pm, but I can get you a quote." With the time changed from 4 to 3, it was then past their cutting time so I couldn't buy it. There were no other customers in sight, a couple other employees including the guy who cuts it standing right there. Not that it isn't a task any could do. No one offered to help, and I am not sure why it was an inconvenience or why the end time changed by an hour. I didn't mean to inconvenience them buy going into the store to buy something, so I won't again.

He is not a big talker and cuts right to the chase and I appreciate that, he isn't trying to sell you! Overall they seem well stocked in what they DO carry.....however, they are priced $10-$15 higher than the big box stores on some of their building materials and that's a shame when you have a big project, bc it's such a large amount it would be crazy to spend that much over - even IF you want to stay local. So their pricing needs to be more competitive on their lumber and building supplies. They are almost always our first stop/attempt bc we WANT to keep it local, they carry STIHL too! But so does ACE that's coming back into town! Please bring back the corrugated metal roofing. It's what everyone needing an affordable option uses on their livestock shelters/small outbuildings. $50+/sheet for the nicer panels is not necessary and forces us to drive elsewhere. We would LIKE to keep our money local if at all possible/reasonable! Also the manager is often at the store and greeting people/answering phones/assisting at checkout. Store is clean and organized! THANK YOU! But bring back the standard corrugated metal PLEASE!

The REAL question is why this girl isn't running her own store. I run a service business & Amanda is what someone who cares about the company & customer looks like. We won't go anywhere, nor talk to anyone else for our needs.

My family and I drove nearly 40 minutes from Bridgeland--through traffic--because we had a gift…read morecard to The Container Store. We hadn't been in years, and we thought it would be a fun family trip to revisit a store we used to enjoy. When we first arrived, we were greeted warmly by the store manager, Christi, who was kind, professional, and had a genuine smile that set the right tone. The store was not busy, so it was fairly quiet, and you could easily hear my children's laughter echo through the aisles. My son is four--curious, energetic, and, like most toddlers, has a knack for exploring things he shouldn't. My one-year-old daughter giggled as he climbed into one of the large bins--yes, the sturdy, weight-bearing type designed to hold storage items. Of course, as any parent would, I told him to get out. He didn't listen immediately (because, well, he's four), but he wasn't hurting anyone or causing damage. Had anything happened, we're responsible parents and would've made it right. That's why I was completely shocked when an employee named John came marching from the opposite end of the store with a stern, unpleasant expression. Without so much as acknowledging us--the parents--he looked directly at my children and said, in a sharp tone, "Hey kids, get out of there because if you break, you buy." Then he turned and walked away. Not only was this incredibly unprofessional, it was completely inappropriate to speak to someone else's children in that manner. You don't approach toddlers with jargon they don't even understand. You address the parents first. His tone, body language, and delivery made the situation feel unnecessarily hostile and condescending--especially toward two very young kids who were simply being kids. Whether John was having a bad day or just lacks basic customer service skills, it was unacceptable. It left me embarrassed, upset, and frankly appalled that this was how a paying customer and her family were treated--especially in a store that prides itself on organization, sophistication, and service. Although Christi was not aware of what had happened during our visit, her calm and gentle spirit at checkout reminded me what great customer service should feel like. She treated us with genuine kindness and professionalism, completely unaware of the negative experience we'd just had with her employee. Unfortunately, her warmth wasn't enough to undo the damage caused by that interaction. This experience has completely changed how we view this location, and sadly, it will be the last time my family and I shop here. I sincerely hope The Container Store addresses this type of behavior and ensures no other family is ever made to feel the way we did that day.

I heard about Rug Mart from an acquaintance when I asked her where she purchased a beautiful rug in her home. So we decided to check them out when we were shopping for a new rug for our living room. Rug Mart Houston has an incredible selection of rugs, on site, ready for you to see and available immediately for purchase. Considering we were searching for an oversized rug (12x15), being able to see the rug - full size - and not in a very small sample size, on-site availability was very important to us. Latif, the owner, listened to us describe what we were interested in and even asked to see photos of our room (which we happened to have), as well as paid close attention to the rugs we liked as we were looking through the vast selection, and he helped us quickly narrow it down to a couple of favorites. Latif was very polite, professional, and followed up with us in an appropriate time frame (he was not pushy at all). He has a HUGE selection of every type of style of rug one could be looking for and in many price ranges. Bottom line, we would buy from Latif again. We could not be happier with our rug purchase - the large rug and the runner to coordinate with it - look fantastic.
