We got to have our dinner in the dining room which was so much nicer and peaceful than the bar area, which I also wouldn't have minded but it was too noisy for a relaxed evening. Service was wonderful and very accommodating! I also loved all the monkey decor, it really tickled me every time we spotted a different monkey haha. We started with the truffle monkey bread! It was so good! For my entree, I got the miso cod, buttery mashed potatoes and a coconut margarita which were all amazing! We even got a complimentary dessert for our anniversary which was a salted caramel ice cream with a candle! We also ordered a banana split for fun and we loved it. I would definitely come back even in the bar dining area because I want to try everyone else's food recommendations! 10/10!

Did an earlier dinner on a Saturday with a friend at the bar. We got some similar items, some different. The thing I kept the same was my martinis and all three (sour cream and onion, tomato, and espresso) were just as amazing as ever. Food-wise, I stuck mainly to the classics with one new dish: - Pizza rolls: Very good but 3 pizza rolls for $20 felt small to me. I feel like I remember seeing others served more when I've gone in the past, but not completely sure. They're nostalgic and fun, nothing to die for. - Fries: Great as ever, we opted for just one of the sauces (avocado dill). - French Dip: This used to be cut in 3 pieces and now it's 2. Works well with a duo but I do think it's actually a little smaller now than before when I compare photos. - Samoa sundae: Still amazing, still so so worth. It was fun going with a friend who hadn't been before and seeing the joy upon trying the dish! Bar service is friendly as always and they do a decent job moving you along to ensure the necessary turnover without feeling too rushed.

The duck borek is amazing. My friend who rarely eats meat proclaimed the filet on the skewer as the best steak she's ever had. The cheesecake is phenomenal. I really recommend the chef's menu. You get a sample of everything served family style and at $79 a person, it's a deal considering that if you ordered appetizers, an entree and dessert you'd pay much more than that in any restaurant in Manhattan. I've done that twice and still ended up taking food home. Drink prices are in line with mid-town Manhattan but $12 for a bottle of San Pellegrino is a little excessive. I'd be okay with $8 or $9 but I guess a few bucks in the grand scheme of things is not the end of the world. I've been there a few times and I'll note that I had reservations on a busy Thursday and was seated outside (which was lovely) but then it started raining hard and they were so helpful and gracious in finding us a place to squeeze in on the inside. Really top notch service. I'll also note that I brought a friend from Seattle and her husband is an architect for restaurants and she was wowed by the entire experience, which made me feel great!
