A friend referred us to Connected Technology (CT) for our Tesla charger installation. I got a couple estimates for this install and found CT to cost significantly less. Every person I spoke with at CT was over the top nice and very responsive; from the person who answered the phone (Jennifer who I call my new best friend), the estimator (Randi), and the two installers (Scott & Brian). I was made to feel like I was their best customer, royalty, or part owner in the company. They promised they'd arrive between 8-8:30 am, and they got here at 7:58 - so awesome! Very pleased with the install of a 30 amp circuit to run my RV. Project involved a new circuit breaker in the panel combined with about 10' of conduit and a 30 amp RV plug. Whole process was first rate. Gentleman who came out to do estimate was professional and thorough. Actual project work was first rate. Electrician who did the work was very professional, friendly and communicative. Price was in the upper end of estimates I received, but not the most expensive. He knew his product, had suggestions for placement , and his explanation of the process was very helpful. Connected Technology just installed our solar system in Lincoln. We're waiting for PTO from PG&E but everything from the company has been great. Had tons of questions initially which the owner Bill answered in great detail. After signing the contract, it took less than a month for all permits and installation to be completed even with stormy weather in the way. Project manager Cheryl has been great with providing next steps and taking care of timelines. The on-site lead Troy is awesome to work with. He really went above and beyond: we had a new born and he really worked around that to minimize any disturbances and really had his team on the task while they were here. The installation looks clean and we chose the Panasonic panels with Enphase inverters. Overall, I find everyone I interacted with at CT to be transparent and respectful. Connected Technology met all the above criterions with exceptional good quality - one of the conduits was not EXACTLY parallel to the other one, on the final inspection it was corrected, the value of knowing things are done A to Z without need to intervein is not something I am used to any more. Here was asked a few questions at the initial conversation and it seemed to bee all the was needed to get the plans, permit, installation and the final county inspection. all the work was done very clean and the site was left with nothing for me to clean after the job was completed. The company was extremely responsive and listened to my request to pull in the installation if possible. and to top it off every milestone was met on the original schedule. When another electrician (who took weeks to get me the bids I requested with vague pricing) told me our new oven wouldn't work with our existing plug, as it needed increased amperage at the panel with all new wiring (thousands of dollars worth of work), I decided to get other opinions. My stepdad, who is a master electrician, told me what they were suggesting was ludicrous. When Roland from Connected Technology came out, he agreed with my stepdad. Now we have our new oven with the old plug, and it works great. We haven't been zapped by it, and the house hasn't burned down. Connected Technology also replaced a damaged exterior light, installed an EV charger with a new circuit, and cleaned up some weird things in our panel. The work was done in a couple of hours, and everything was explained to me in terms I could understand. Plus, it was significantly cheaper than other bids I had received. We learned about Connected Tech from the Tesla website and researched their work locally and on Yelp before messaging them for an estimate. We knew the location of our breaker box from where we needed our Tesla Wall Connector installed was going to be a challenge. CT sent out one of their techs, Roland, to do an in-person consultation and we're so glad they offered coming out vs only going by the photos I sent via their online form. Roland determined there wasn't a safe or possible way to route the conduit from one side of the house to the other via attic. Needless to say, I was sad and disappointed because we needed a way to effectively charge our new Tesla Model Y in our garage (Level 1 charging wasn't cutting it for us). About 5 mins after we said our goodbyes, the doorbell rings and Roland said "I have an alternative plan, we can do this!" Fast forward to today, they installed the electrical we needed to get our Tesla Wall Connector up and running to spec. CT took care of all the permits and local approvals. They made preparing for the install so effortless. Our technicians on the day of installation (Scott and Aiden) arrived on time, worked efficiently and their work was clean and thorough. We are super impressed with the service provided by Connected Technology. These guys are professional and courteous, and they did a fantastic job installing a 50 amp outlet in our garage for our Level 2 charger. (We opted to purchase the charger directly from the dealership for our Nissan Leaf.) Connected Technology is trustworthy, knowledgable, and efficient. They knew exactly what needed to be done for our situation right away. We had to have a cable run from the breaker box to the garage through an existing conduit that ran the length of the house, and then the panel needed to be reorganized. They even mounted the charger to the wall and it turned out beautiful! We appreciated that they wore masks, too. A very fair price for their care and expertise. Expect about a 2 week wait between your initial consult and the actual install (in order for the county permits to be prepared), and then one final visit for a virtual inspection with the county. I received very fast responses from Connected, even in the late afternoon. After confirming the location of my breaker box and where the charger would be installed, I received a very reasonable quote and booked the date. What a great company! Originally scheduled to have Tesla wall connector installed back in August 2023. City didn't approve permit (based on my panel size and only having 100 AMP main breaker), and we couldn't move forward with the project. Connected technology refunded the permit costs in full and offered some other solutions (upgrading to a smart panel) that were out of my price range. The next 2 months did some of my own research, met with numerous electricians for ideas and estimates, and ultimately determined that my existing panel was capable of adding the extra 23 AMPS needed to install the 48 AMP wall connector. After meeting with probably 6-8 electricians I ended up connecting back with Connected Technology because of their customer service and willingness to work with me based on my unique install with only a 100 AMP panel, but with a 200 AMP main service line into the smart meter. This unusual set-up allowed my main breaker to be upgraded to 125 AMPS- saving me thousands of dollars. Chad was exceptionally helpful and allowed my load calculations to be utilized to acquire the permit (he gave me a discount for me doing the load calculation sheet). Connected technology's price was comparable and often better than all of the other estimates I received. In addition, they took care of all the behind the scenes permit acquisition and PG&E coordination that was required for the main breaker upgrade. Their communication was excellent from texts and emails updating you on where they were at in the project planning process, to the day of install letting you know what technicians were providing the service and even allowing you to track how far out they were from arriving at your home. The service from the installers Scott and Vance was excellent, and they provided suggestions as to the best location and most aesthetic appearance for the wall connector and surge protector. The work was completed in a timely manner and they left the area clean. I highly recommend utilizing Connected Technology for your electrical needs. Updated review for my prior install. I was having a weird charging error on my Model Y randomly, contacted Connected Technology about it and they were very helpful in explaining that it may have been due to Tesla updates glitch but still offered to send someone out the very next day just to make sure that my install wasn't having any issues. Scott came out the next day and was extremely helpful and through in checking all parts of the install, he did not find any issues with the charger install, I could tell that he was very knowledgeable about all components of the install work. I contacted Tesla and they looked into some logs and could not find out what was happening, but it's been over a month now and have not had the weird error so everything checks out. Very happy with my 60amp Tesla charger install, we use our Model Y every day and have not had to worry much about super chargers. I am now forced to drive our other Lexus gas vehicle around once every 1-2 weeks just to make sure that it doesn't brake down on us :).
