I had several outlets not working for months so I finally called for repair. I spoke with Erik of iKnow Electric and instead of making an appointment to charge me for a visit, he instructed me how to reset the outlets just by pushing a button on the outlet. It worked at no cost to me. I have added iKnow to my address book for any future electrical issue. Thanks again Erik! read more

OH MY GOSH~! This guy just made my weekend - He knows his stuff and is not out to price gouge people like the rest of them. If you have a problem, please call Eric. THANK YOU ERIC! We are low income and had a bad week, and on top of it had our whole kitchen including microwave go out, so one more BILL and more money to fix things, never ending... I called all around, got many phone estimates, even spoke to one company who wouldn't answer if he was licensed... Then randomly got Eric on phone before I was going to just give up and deal with this next week... He was able to fix my problem in only 3 minutes on the phone for me, for FREE, who does this? Who is nice enough to do that, when everyone only wants your cash? Made me cry! He is a one of a kind good guy, and I can't thank him enough. Call him, he is a good one. I will surely keep his number as we need some outdoor updates soon, will NOT be calling anyone else. - Happy Day! ERIC is the Man for any electric! read more

Excellent service, came out and fixed a dangerous problem for me in short order. Highly recommend.

Erik solved all of my electrical problems and I would recommend him to anyone in need. He was polite and professional and knew exactly what the problems were and how to fix them. So thankful I found him. I had another company come out previously who gave me crazy quotes and a list of work that needed to be done and in the end, it was a pretty simple fix and I'm so glad that I got Erik's opinion. read more

I need two things from an electrician, an estimate to install a new 240 v 50 amp breaker which includes about 100 feet of new copper wire and a new GFI plug in my kitchen. Erik came by and was very knowledgeable and professional on how he would run the new circuit. His estimate was very competitive. I liked the competence and professionalism so much that I had him back 2 days later to replace a faulty GFI outlet. He did a great job. I highly recommend Erik/IKnow electric for any of your electrical needs. read more

Erik has twice been able to help us out with electrical needs after I found his business on Yelp. The first time was for an issue with our microwave. We had replaced the outlet thinking that was the issue, but we still had intermittent issues with the breaker tripping. Erik came out and determined that the breaker was bad. He replaced it and we haven't had an issue since. That was in December of 2024. We called him again last week to get a quote on what we thought was going to be the addition of dedicated circuit(s) in our kitchen. We were under the impression that several of our large appliances, most notably the refrigerator and dishwasher, were on the same circuit, and had concerns about that. Erik came out to review and discuss with us. As it turned out, we were wrong in our understanding, and Erik was able to show us how the dishwasher and fridge were already on separate circuits, saving us from spending money where we didn't need to. We appreciate his pragmatic and honest approach and professionalism. read more

We just purchased our first electric car and needed a charger for it installed at our home (quickly as the dealer charge of the car wasn't going to last forever). Erik responded to my Yelp request very quickly and we made an appointment and he suggested the Tesla wall charger for our needs. He is very knowledgeable and was able to give me a very fair quote and good information about the install. On installation day he was and is very personable and polite considering my limitations to "Help" as a senior. He arrived on time scheduled and got right to work. I even threw in a monkey wrench to the planned work by asking for an additional 110v receptacle for just a wee bit more. Very fair cost! Such a great installation experience in all on a hot day in our attic for him. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable electrician. Great, neat and clean work. Thanks again, Erik! read more

Called for an EV install and he was quick, prompt and did the job with ease. I would highly recommend Erik for all your electrical needs.

Erik was very responsive, friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. We had an issue when our treadmill was delivered white glove with installation. The delivery technician who had mentioned he puts these treadmills together "all the time" plugged the unit into a GFCI outlet. He turned it on for us, and quickly left. Within a few minutes of use it tripped the outlet and powered off with my husband on it. The treadmill manual states in bold letters NOT COMPATIBLE WITH GFCI OUTLETS. This could have been very dangerous. Thankfully Erik was able to come out right away and rectify the issue! I will definitely contact him again if I have any future electrical issues. read more

This company took almost a month to respond to a request for a generator repair / service. At that point why even respond??? Seriously. I asked to use the yelp system to communicate and not to call me. So they texted me and asked me to call them, ignoring or not caring to read my project details. This is a monumental waste of my time and so I thought I'd waste a little more time and write this. read more

I wanted to install flush mount ceiling lights in our barren ceiling. Erik masterfully worked around all the obstacles in our ceiling and installed symmetrically arranged lights. He took the time to properly measure and install the lights, while in coordination with the audio contractor. The job was a challenge given the high count of newly installed lights in close proximity to various floor truss supports, but he didn't complain. He figured out solutions for the wire pulling and skillfully completed all the final wire terminations. I'm very pleased with the experience - I have several other jobs lined up for Erik in our home. Highly recommended! read more

Wonderful so nice and does great work . My Tesla charger looks beautiful, he knows what he's doing.

We are fairly new to the Roseville area. Our son purchased his first home in Orangevale in 2017 and needed an electrician to help with a significant updating. Finding an electrician, as well as other sub-contractors is not an easy process; especially when your not from the area. By total luck and an introduction by one of our new friends... we met Erik Skolnik, a local electrician. Upon meeting Erik, we hit it off with him immediately. He was very knowledgable about electrical applications for new construction and remodels. Erik was straight forward with his suggestions & ideas. We were very happy with the results of our project, especially the beautiful lighting updates and added electrical features, i.e., smart electrical plugs, switches, fixtures and a completely remodel kitchen. The one thing about Erik that we really appreciated was that he always strived to complete his portion of the project timely and as proposed. He was very good to coordinate all of our schedules and worked very well with other sub-contractors. He managed his electrical construction portion very well. When you find someone who is fair & trustworthy, provides an honest days work for an honest day's pay... and does a great job and meets your expectations... consider yourself lucky in the world of construction. January 2019, we began a second project of a home we purchased in relocating to Roseville. Fortunately we knew Erik Skolnik Electric. Erik helped us completely retro-fit all our lighting with LED throughout the entire house; update all our electrical plugs and switches and did an amazing job on our fully remodeled kitchen... We are happy to recommend Erik Skolnik Electrical. Honest, fair, creative and does professional & beautiful work. read more

They were so helpful! I requested quotes for a project through Yelp and they were the first to respond. Had a 10-min conversation where I explained the situation. They set up an appointment for me, then also suggested some things for me to try in the meantime. The first thing I tried worked, so I ended up not even needing a house call.
