Had yelp send a bunch of request for an outdoor outlet that wasn't working. S&E provided some advice through messaging that would fix the issue without him coming out and it fixed the issue. Didn't ask for any payment. An honest business is all we want. I recommend and would go with them if I have an actual electrical problem that needs fixing. read more

I recently worked with Steven at S&E Electric to install a Level 2 wall charger for my Tesla, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. My setup wasn't simple. There's no attic access to my garage, which meant we needed to run a significant amount of conduit. I was concerned it would end up looking bulky or sloppy. Steven made it look incredibly clean and intentional. The conduit work is crisp, straight, and professionally done. It honestly looks better than I expected. I got multiple quotes before moving forward, and his pricing was the most competitive by far. No games, no inflated numbers, just fair and transparent. He was prompt, communicated clearly, and finished the job faster than I anticipated. The whole process felt easy and seamless, which is not something I say often about contractor projects. If you need electrical work done, especially a Tesla wall charger installation, I would absolutely recommend Steven. read more

Steven and Austin were very pleasant to work with. First of all, being on time is very valuable to me, it shows respect and reliability. Steven was about 5-10 minutes early so I greatly respect that! Both of them were able to troubleshoot where the short was, and were able to fix the tripping issue. Steven looked over the old meter panel (probably from the 70's) and sent an estimate the very next day on updating everything. Overall, I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a solid electrician. read more

5-star experience working with Steven. He replaced/upgraded in-wall heaters. Super responsive. We were able to communicate through some text/picture and save time for both of us. So he didn't need to make multiple trips to figure out the work. Highly recommend him read more

S&E Electric did an excellent job installing an EV charger and 3 dedicated outlets at our Tahoe home. Steven is very personable, responsive, reliable, and honest. We pulled the permit ourselves and Steven did not hesitate to help us through that process by reviewing our plans and sharing tips with us about the process. His work passed the permit inspection with flying colors because he and Austin did an excellent job. I highly recommend his company if you're ever in the need of electrical work at your home or business. read more

Steven is an outstanding electrician. I interviewed 8 and he proved to be the best. Best communicator, he listens, best follow through, he does what he says and goes the extra mile. I hired Steve to install an EV Charger at my rental house in downtown Sacramento and then install a Tesla Charger at my Rocklin home. The Rocklin house had a few complications mainly because I had a very old panel. Steve prior to taking the job did a bunch of research to make sure that he could do it safely and cost effectively. He was able to mitigate all the previous issues I had in Rocklin and present me with several options to choose from. He did great work and finished everything in half of a day. He really went above and beyond what I expected an electrician to do. You could tell he spent time doing his homework before coming out and trying to spend time figuring out solutions on the spot. I really gained a ton of trust and respect for Steve and would highly recommend him to anybody looking for an electrician. read more

We originally reached out to Steven for advice/quote on installing a sub panel and EV charger. He came over and checked the main panel and other areas of the home to give a proper quote and options. His pricing is fair but what's more is the quality of work is excellent. We ended up having him install some outside lighting as well and it functions properly and looks so much better. He is a nice guy, easy to talk to, and honest in his trade. We're happy to know that we have found our electrician for our home. Thanks, Steven! read more

We had a power surge due to our power lines going down in the early February wind storm. We had multiple issues as a result of the damage caused by the surge. We reached out to Steven at S&E Electric based on his numerous 5 star reviews on Yelp. He responded to us very quickly and was at our home within a couple of days. He started with our electric panel and replaced one of the switches. Next, he tested our garage door openers and confirmed those were fried. He also checked a kitchen light fixture and advised the ballast was shot. He also checked the outlet to our dishwasher and confirmed it was good. Steven was very professional and knowledgeable and the cost was reasonable. We will be using S&E Electric as our primary electrician in the future. Highly recommend S&E. read more

L I was on the final As Built inspection of a shop, and was informed that the 3 exterior electrical outlets weren't rated for outside.  I called the electrical company I've used in the past, and they sent someone to give me a quote.  I totally misunderstood that just having them come give a quote would cost $79. Then the estimate they gave me was $1300. That was for 3 outlets.  I then put the all call out on Yelp. Steven from S&E electrical was the first one to respond.  I  called him and he was able to come over the next day. He gave me an estimate over the phone of $450 and had it done the next day. The following day, the inspector found another one that needed to be replaced.  He got there that same day, fixed it up. The next day, my shop passed the final inspection. My shop is now totally permitted and legal.  Thank you so much, Steven, for your help, I'm sure it would have taken longer without your help. read more

If only every guy you hired knew his trade extremely well and worked with honesty and integrity, remodels would be a breeze. Steven is that guy!! He was professional, precise and knowledgeable at what he does, and an impeccable communicator. After seeing how efficiently he was able to solve two major issues we had (which my GC was taking days to deal with and unable to solve), I ended up adding a few more things to his plate just to get everything done. We're up to code now and ready for the inspection. read more

After getting a few quotes for the work I wanted done, I went with S&E Electric, following my gut and the professionalism of our first interaction. The work was quickly scheduled and completed. He ran into a few issues with some of the projects, but had solutions to offer to make each project work for my needs. Everything was done above and beyond our expectations. Top notch work and he is very friendly and professional to boot. We have a couple more jobs in mind now and will be calling S&E when we are ready for more electrical work. Highly recommend. read more

I hired Steven to install a new circuit so we could switch from a gas to induction cooktop. Communication was great, and his price was competitive. He even took the time to read the cooktop installation manual to make sure the wiring was ready and the junction box would be in the right spot. I would definitely work with him again. read more

I hired S&E October 2024 to help me with a very complex commercial microgrid project. The prior two electricians could not get it done. There were a ton of pieces involved--motor operator, UPS, active fuse monitoring, ATS, generator, etc. S&E really took the time to understand my unique set-up. It took a few tries as we had to figure out things together, and they were always punctual, reasonable, and great communicators. We had to coordinate with several teams--SEL, Siemens, Socomec, QCells, etc. I think Steven and his team could do just about anything residential, and they have proven to me they are capable of more involved commercial projects as well. read more
