I've been a fan for a couple years, overruling my family who don't want to go here. Friday, 5/22, may have cured me. The hostess noted there there we're no tables available (I counted five that were not cleaned), so I reluctantly Sat at the bar. I asked for water and the hostess couldn't find one clean glass, which she lamented to someone in the kitchen. His comment? Here it is exactly. We've been here 3 times now. Each time the food has been great. Very reasonably priced with many entries under $10.00. I would give it at least 4 stars except that the last time we were in, the wait staff was not very attentive - another couple left w/o ordering because they were ignored so long despite only 4 or 5 tables were occupied. We stopped in for breakfast on our way to Cuchara, CO; what a wonderful decision! The breakfast is not only delicious but the portions are enough for any "mountain man." I had the Elk/Jalapeno sausage with my scrambled eggs and it was my first Elk experience and I will go back; delicious! My husband had the corned beef omelet and it had huge pieces of done to perfection corned beef; more than he could eat - also delicious! read more

Cute decor, clean, thoughtfully made food... Pancakes had cinnamon in them I think. The homemade donut holes are a must! We had a really nice server. The portions are HUGE. Decided to try it because my daughter was hungry for a cheeseburger and it popped up in our local search. WONDERFUL! Great food and very good service. My yankee pot roast tasted homemade! This diner is so cute! We had a wonderful waitress named Laura! She was the sweetest woman and made our visit here so amazing. The food was amazing! We got large portions and it all tasted amazing! This place is decent. The food isn't bad, but it isn't great. It reminds me of food you would get at an amusement park. The service was pretty good; better than I was expecting. My order came with bacon; however, it looked very brown and burnt. It wasn't hard however. My guess is they didn't clean the grill off. Other than that, it was average. read more

I got the veggie and cheese omelet which had a great selection of veggies such as peppers, onions, spinach, tomatoes, and mushrooms. Went there around 7pm on a Wednesday night. There was only one other couple there, which is really too bad. On the recommendation of my father, I had the Hot Beef Sandwich. Totes good. My mom had the special, which was some sort of angus burger. She was thrilled. It's nice to have a hearty breakfast place in the neighborhood and DW's is certainly that. Portions are huge and every time I've been here I leave stuffed. The food is ok nothing special but hits the spot. They use Jimmy Dean sausage products which kind of makes me question the quality. It's also pricey for what you get. Have been here several times and have never had a bad meal. We had breakfast which was the Tamale and Eggs and it was awesome. We also order Bloody Marias (which is a Bloody Mary made with tequila instead of vodka). We were told that they didn't have any tequila, but somehow the waitress found some tequila and they turned out very good. We will be returning any time we our on our way up HWY 285. read more

We have been a number of times. Mostly just my daughter and myself on busy weekday morning. Honestly that's the best time to go because they have a good value breakfast special then. If you're going out for a weekend breakfast though you'd be better off trying other diners in Evergreen, Kittredge or Morrison. If your on the 285 corridor though any diner is going to be equal quality to this one. As for the food it is standard quality and choices for a diner breakfast. My daughter loves the hot dogs and eggs and having tried a bite of her's I can see why, they are tasty. It's great finger food for little ones and plenty to take home or share. The buscuits are too small if your a biscuit and gravy type. If you're ordering the usual 2 eggs, toast, etc. it's exactly what you'd expect. read more

We came to this Diner because our zip line Tour guide recommended it... We were so glad we decided to follow his suggestion! The atmosphere is very 'Old Farm-ish' and is very cute. The exact place you are looking for if you want good, local food. I ordered the pancake breakfast and my boyfriend a burger, both of us were highly satisfied even though they came from two different parts of the menu. The pancakes were so light and fluffy. I substituted my sausage for hashbrowns and they came out with so! much! food!!!! My boyfriend and I both had to take some leftovers. The waitress was very nice. The cook came out to the table next to us and talked to the people about where they are from, what they were doing in Conifer, etc. which I thought was a very nice touch. If you live in Conifer and have not tried this Diner, you need to go! Anyone who comes in from out of town of state NEEDS to stop in to try this food. Great local place for breakfast or lunch. My wife loves the "Andy's Hash Browns". Hash browns with eggs on top smothered in green chili and cheese. I like those too. This time I tried the Huevos Rancheros. Excellent Huevos and huge portion. They use pulled pork in their green chili and it added something to the dish. Friendly place. Stopped in today on the way back to Denver, We ordered two waters, I placed my straw in my water and I noticed a WORM yes a WORM!! The waitress finally came back and I stated is this Tequila? And I said there's a worm in my glass! She took my glass and brought me a new glass of water, NEVER said she or the business was SORRY, Manager never stopped by to say anything or say they were sorry. My son was hungry for pancakes, but it was 2:30 in the afternoon. Most places up here stop serving breakfast long before then. The waitress, Brittany, was super helpful and, even though they close at 3, got them for him! I had a delicious pastrami sandwich that hit the spot. Good food.
