Finally found a place to go for all my cakes, cupcakes and pastries. Ordered a birthday carrot cake, and everyone at the party agreed that it was not only the best carrot cake (and frosting) they'd ever had but also that the design and written message on the cake was fantastic. The cake was moist and delicious. The cream cheese frosting had just the right amount of cream cheese so that the frosting was rich but not with a heavy cream cheese taste. Also bought cupcakes and some pastries while I was there. If there's one thing that seems to be very difficult for so many bakeries, it's producing a cupcake that isn't dry and frosting that isn't cloyingly sweet. But Confectionately Yours hit it out of the park. We ordered several types of cupcakes and they were all top-notch. Of all their pastries, I'd highly recommend the Chocolate Bomb. The absolute best I've ever had, and I can't figure out how they get the chocolate covering to be so moist while still holding its shape. And the prices? Some of the best around. Reasonably priced fantastic baked goods. Confectionately Yours is a total winner! read more

The BEST cupcakes and cake! We hired Confectionately Yours to do assorted cupcakes and a cutting cake for our wedding. Kristen was so attentive to our needs and very responsive. Everything came out perfectly! They are also very affordable and reasonably priced. Much of our decision came down to price when it came desserts, and not only were they within our budget, but they were delicious. All the cupcake flavors we got were sooo good and moist! They also provide gluten free options. There are a wide variety of flavors to choose from, and Kristen did not limit how many flavors we wanted for our wedding. We sent her a sample image of the design we wanted for our cutting cake and she replicated it, while also adding a bit more flair to make it even more beautiful. We cannot recommend Confectionately Yours enough for your next event or special occasion. We'll certainly be ordering more cakes, cupcakes, and desserts from them in the future! read more

I have ordered 3 birthday cakes all custom with regards to design, theme, and flavors from Confectionately Yours. Kristen is the owner and baker, and she is amazing!!! She will work with you re what kind of cake you want and what style, design, flavors, etc. The latest cake we ordered was a dinosaur cake for our daughter. The cake is covered in marshmallow fondant with a 3-D dinosaur. Everything on the cake including the dinosaur is edible and delicious. All our guests (kids and adults) finished the cake. Even our daughter who is a picky eater loved her cake and kept asking for more. My guests kept asking me where I got our cake too. You can definitely taste that the cake is freshly made. The other cakes we ordered was an Alice in Wonderland themed cake and a unicorn cake. We love it here and will keep ordering cakes from Kristen! read more

I am so happy that I stumbled upon this bakery. I needed a birthday cake for my goddaughter's birthday last minute. I was looking through yelp and the reviews sold me. Kristen the owner was super friendly and accommodating for my last minute order and was able to do a unicorn cake like that! And was able to do matching cupcakes. When I brought it to the party everyone loved it and the "icing on the cake" it tasted AMAZING. Even people that don't like chocolate cake loved it! I barely got a piece cause people were devouring it so quick. Even though I live in Somerville this is going to be my go to place for all cakes! read more

After reading Kristen's positive reviews, and saw beautiful photos of her work on Facebook I went ahead and ordered a My Little Pony Cake for my daughters 2 year birthday party. I went with chocolate and vanilla buttercream frosting. The cake was extremely fresh, moist and delicious. The frosting was the perfect sweetness and consistency. Everyone loved the cake, it was a huge hit! Her bakery operates under the utmost professionalism, and customer service was on point. To give you a hint on how fresh her cake was, I ordered it to be ready at 11, I called around 930am and it was not ready as she was working on it. I got there around 1050am and she just finished. I purchased a to-go cake for my party and it was one of the only shops I know with rose cakes to go, I was very pleased. The cake was so pretty and taste yummy as well. I purchased half vanilla and half chocolate cake with white roses. Very friendly staff as well and the guest that went and came from the shop were very friendly. That makes me love a bakery even more. I do wish that the rose cake was a full rose cake with no space on the top (for writing), I'm sure I could have asked them to finish filling the middle though - I typically don't writing on a rose cake, I use a topper. Anyways, the cake was great and beautiful and I will definitely be back soon. I also got 10 cupcakes! Red velvet, some strawberry ones and some others I can't remember the name off. They were gone before I could blink. Good job Confectionately Yours ! read more

I ordered a 2 tier cake and a dozen cupcakes for my cousins baby shower and the entire process was nothing short of professional and pleasant. I was initially hesitant to try a new bakery but the other stellar reviews convinced me this was the bakery to create my cousins cake. The owner was responsive, professional, and efficient. The cake came out absolutely perfect and was so cute! She listened to my ideas for the cake and the color palette I had in mind. The cake was perfectly executed. Some of these "high end" bakers sacrifice cake flavor and quality for the aesthetics and I promise you this is not the case with Confectionately Yours. The cake was so delicious- I don't usually prefer chocolate but this chocolate was soo good I ate both flavors. The cake was perfect from its meat design to its flavors, freshness, and softness. I will definitely be back to Confectionately Yours read more

I would 100% recommended! Kristen was super sweet and very responsive. We had a year of delays and changing dates but she was so positive and was able to have us in for a tasting and showed up on the big day with everything looking amazing and tasting delicious! Her cannoli chip is the best thing ever. Guests were raving about that flavor! I also loved the key lime pie! Kristen was great at answering my many emails and really was a pleasure to work with. PROS: - What a cute little bakery to stumble upon. I'm not from the area but needed to buy some cupcakes for a friend's birthday as a last minute surprise and this was on the way to work. I love small businesses and this one really hits me right in the tender heart. Would come again if I ever need another quick bakery fix just to support the local business. - Not busy at all like I feared some bakeries with good reviews would be. Perfect for a stop before the work commute. CONS: - None that I can think of! Specifics: - Orange Cranberry Walnut Muffin = Great orange flavor. The walnut and the cranberries were evenly distributed in the muffin (didn't all sink to the bottom or float at the top during the batter making process). Walnuts in there were crunchy, which added a nice texture to the soft sponge of the muffin bottom. Would definitely get this again. - Assortment of Specialty Cupcakes = Didn't get a chance to try what I purchased since it was given to my friend as a birthday surprise but was told from him and his friends that the cupcakes were amazing. OVERVIEW: Great place to go to, esp if you want to support local businesses. Go try their variety of cupcake flavors! Instagram @bowtiebowie for more food adventures! read more

Kristen made the most beautiful 'naked' cake for my niece's shower this past August and it far surpassed my expectations! I had requested fresh flowers on the cake to resemble the flowers on the shower invite as best possible and she just found the most beautiful flowers to use. Delicious and beautiful red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. I've never ordered a cake before, but the woman who helped me was very nice. She even made it easy when I called back the next day to change the frosting for my order. Everyone in my party (most importantly the birthday boy!) really enjoyed the cake. $24 bucks too. Definitely worth it. *Dirty Thirty cake topper was not included. I ordered that online separately. read more

I got my wedding cake from here. The customer service was awesome from start to finish. I was able to email back and forth to set up what I was looking for which helped a lot since I don't live close and work office hours. I changed my mind probably 100 times, but they were great and supported me along the way. I ended up with a 3 tier cake, with each tier being a different flavor. The cake was delicious.. I took a bunch home and couldn't wait for our one year to continue eating it... They were able to deliver to my venue, and even arrived early! I'd highly recommend! read more

Confectionately Yours is the perfect example of a small business one should try to support. They have hours in the morning but even if you get there before they close all the baked goods are going to be good. I ordered a coffee, chai latte, cinnamon stick, and a cupcake. They were all amazing. For the coffee I opted with the Irish Cream flavor and it tasted great. The chai latte was well done and it tasted fresh. And both baked goods were great. The cupcake was a strawberry cupcake and it also had strawberry filling. Great stuff and staff. read more

Kristen, not a single birthday or cake needed event happens in my house without one of your cakes. We love coming up with ideas having you run with them. Each cake we get is always thoughtfully planned and immaculately executed. Aside from the cakes looking amazing, they taste even better. As much as I always hurt cutting into one of your master pieces, the taste is always worth it. We get so many compliments on your cakes and each time we come with a bigger and better idea. We've already started the birthday process in our house the first cake of the year was my birthday Skull cake, I adored it! It was simply me in every way. We got both boys birthdays coming soon and i can't wait tot drop those ideas off to you. Thanks for hanging in there with us and always creating a center piece or our events. You Rock read more

I was happy to be greeted one day by a boxful of Confectionately Yours' (cute name!) cupcakes as purchased and shared by a fan of theirs. Many of their cupcakes are filled with a nice surprise which assisted with the moistness of the treat as a whole. On the day of pick-up, the lemon filled and strawberry vanilla were winners, but the mint chocolate cupcake was on the dry side and deemed stale. Over the next few days, while smushed due to my faulty transportation method, the tiramisu and the caramel filled were still moist and tasty. All were on the sweet side, without being too sweet. read more

I ordered a cake for my hubby's milestone birthday. Throughout the cake ordering process (email/phone) - it was a mixed bag feeling. The cake design turned out close to the picture I'd sent except with some minor detail issue on one of the figurines. Reason for the 3 star - the cake had the wrong filling. Ordered chocolate cake with chocolate mousse but it ended up being chocolate cake with vanilla filling. Think that was a big enough detail that should not have been overlooked. read more

I have used Confectionately Yours twice, once for decorated sugar cookies and once for a big cake for a party. Both times, Kristen worked with me to figure out what I wanted and come up with ideas that matched what I asked for, in my price range. The cookies were better on design than on flavor, but the cake was amazing in both regards! read more

Came here once for a midafternoon snack with a friend. The storefront is not too big, but enough for a tv, about two tables inside and some cupcake/donut/muffin displays. My friend and I got a tiramisu and death by chocolate cupcake! Super happy with my cupcake. The smalls are reasonably priced compared to some cupcake shops (a little over $2) and have just enough of everything. Sometimes I find that Death by Chocolate products can be a little overwhelming (which is the point, I know!) but this one was perfect on all the marks. Chocolate curls, chocolate frosting, and chocolate filling inside were all superb and all distinguishable from one another - not the same kind of chocolate note all around. Only thing I'd say is that the cupcake batter was a little dense and could be fluffier, but great for a late afternoon pick-me-up. Would definitely try more here, next time. read more

Awesome bakery! The staff are so friendly and responsive and the cakes are beautiful and delicious. Can't beat them!

My husband knows cake is my weakness. I'm not a sweets person... except for cake. I'd eat it every day with no regrets. Twice now, he's surprised me with cakes from Confectionately Yours, as he works in the area. Twice now, I've eaten every morsel of this cake down to the last crumb (not in one sitting, as much as I'd like to). The cakes are not only scrumptious but nothing short of absolutely GORGEOUS. I love the rosette frosting because of its elegance and it makes even the smallest cake look like something really special. The colors of both cakes have been vibrant and beautiful, the frosting sweet and rich and the cake moist and buttery. I really can't say enough about this bakery, but do yourself a favor: if you need a dessert for a special occasion, look no further, because Confectionately Yours has you covered. read more
