Wife and i walked here from our hotel it's affordable with specials like 2 dogs or 3 dogs with chips drink. It was okay, we didn't care for the chili.

A Tulsa Tradition!!! This Coney Island was the first to the Tulsa scene opening January 8th 1926 at the original location at 311 s. Boston. These coneys are what you expect them to be. Great service and food. This Coney Island now has an old school feel with desks to eat inside or a few regular tables. Fun place to eat and enjoy a little Tulsa history! Food: 9/10 Service: 9/10 Cleanliness: 7/10 Atmosphere: 8/10

Ultimately, staff were cool but the food was blah. I wanted to like this place but it just wasn't good. I sat in the parking lot working prior to going into this spot. People came in groves, as a small rush happen right around 2pm. I finally went in around 4pm- at time where it appeared to be notoriously slow for the establishment. The place smelled like Fabuloso. No one was in the sitting area and the cashier came from the back about 2 minutes after I arrived. Fries were dropped fresh while coney was being made. I'm thinking since he was able to make my coney so quickly, he pulled my fries up a tad bit too early to ensure I ate those with my coneys. Nice of him but the fries were too undercooked. The chili on the coney had an unusual taste to it. I just couldn't quite enjoy it like I wanted to. To top it off, the ketchup was served cold. I think next time I'll just stick with sonic or make them myself.

Since I was old enough to remember this place we have been coming to this very special Tulsa institution. It's doors opened in 1926 and they still to this day use the same flat top. If your in T-Town this is a cool place to stop for some coneys or frito chili pie I'm the old school chairs and remanence on days long gone. Tons of nostalgia here for the older crowd for their childhood memories as well. AAA+++

Not a fan. Seems to be hyped up mostly by locals... None of the ingredients are quality. When I saw the hot dog and bun I thought to myself "oh the chili must be killer then." Wrong! It was tasteless and looked more like something I would feed my dog. Also, the cheese is powdered and not real either. Pay a little more and go get yourself a decent meal.

this was my second visit. first visit, i had 3 coneys & they were super good. perfect amount of chili & cheese, as i recommend to top it off with the seasoning they have in-store. also, i top mine off with hot sauce as well. yes, your insides might burn, yet it's worth it. the second visit, they came out with the cheesy chili fries so that's what i went with just to try something different. just like the coneys, the fries were good as well. now with the fries, they give you more chili & cheese than they do on the fries. i also top it off with the seasoning & hot sauce & i was FULL. during both visits, the employees were generous & attentive. very nice & welcoming. they're in a prime location right across from a hotel & bars. they have more to choose from other than the two options i ordered, go check them out! p.s. try the jalapeno juice on the food as well. highly recommended!

It's always a shame when they close down and have to relocate, but it's always a joy when they re-open. This new location is probably the best. Roomier than previous establishments, with the majority of seating being the old school desks, but this time there's a large communal table and some seating along a wall. Prices are still the same. The workers are still friendly. Added bonus is that they no longer charge for drink refills. Always good for a quick lunch, snack, and now readily available after some Brady District/Guthrie green fun.

    3 coneys with everything

Just wow. Rarely is something better than how you remembered it but came into town from Los Angeles to visit family and remembered my grandpa would take me downtown for coneys in Tulsa. The place may have moved but is the exact same. I swear I recognized some of the employees from over 25 years ago. Best coneys I've ever had in my life. Simple as that. Look at these things!

I could barely find it, but it was worth the tour. These are still the best.

Let me you straight about this Coney Island- this here is your Coney Islander hotdog Tulsa style. This is not a Chicago dog. This is not about a bunch of fancy toppings and some kind designer bun loader w bespoke hipster happy meat curated by a bearded gentleman who names all of his own livestock. This is the old school. The original. The one and only. It is a steamed bun and a slow grilled very small dog with simple , straightforward mustard and onions hot dog. It is not a charred sausage that "snaps in your teeth" where you get that crazy idea, John H.? This is intended to be a tender morsel, dripping slightly spicy chili in a white bun. As has been reference by previous Yelpers this place has been around for a long time. 1926. I've been coming here since probably around 1975 when my sister and I would stop in on our way to the library and make "suicides" which is what you call it when you let kids self serve and they mix every single kind of soda available at the fountain. Delicious with Frito pie, which is also perfect here. Full circle from my vegetarian and organic produce phases I came straight back to this place. I eat here every time I'm in town because I respect what they do: This dog. This bun. This chili. It is all perfect. The special - 3 chili dogs and a "free" drink for 6$- will fix almost any hangover. And yes, they have a bathroom for paying customers, because this corridor of gentrification also shares a lot of traffic with the local jail and homeless shelter. The bathroom, like the rest of this joint, is utilitarian and spotless.

Coney special 3 dogs and a free drink! The cayenne is optional but adds the right thrill for the tongue

Encroaching on a seemingly crowded market can be tough but somehow Howdy feels like an already-established diner. While many newer burger places attempt to overwhelm the consumer, Howdy Burger's approach seems to be keeping things simple and delivering what the people want while staying true to the "burger joint" identity. I've had Howdy Burger 2 or 3 times through the years. My first visit was likely in/at Mother Road Market but a more recent visit was on October 29th (2025). In the midst of an economic stall (the federal government was shut down for 4 weeks at that point), eating out seemed like a luxury. I visited around 2pm for lunch. The weather was chilly and the staff was readily available. I was greeted and I browsed the menu for about 2mins before ordering. I ended up getting a single burger & rodeo fries. Afterwards, me & the lady cashier had a brief conversation about the state of the world as business was slower than usual. The restaurant isn't huge but it was well maintained. I sat near the West windows and the food came out shortly after. The highlight of the food was easily the burger itself. It was a decent size, the bread was soft, and the patty was just thick enough. Each bite was equally satisfying as they didn't hold back on the toppings. I will say that the fries are pretty standard, even with the extra toppings. I don't think the Rodeo Fries are worth wild but it didn't hurt to try. Lastly, I LOVE the variety of sauces they offer and the staff are happy to add them directly onto the sandwich or place them on the side. I've since returned to have the Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was just as good, if not better, than most famed chicken sandwich spots. I wasn't familiar with Howdy for a while and, as mentioned, there are many other places to get a cheeseburger, sandwich and/or fries. But what I like about Howdy is that they don't try too hard, they know what sells and they offer great service. Considering the price, consistency in their products and good people behind the counter, Howdy Burger is good enough to replace your favorite burger chain and/or fast food spot.

There were, by my highly scientific estimate, at least one hundred employees inside. Another blinked once, possibly twice, during my entire stay. Truly inspiring. Despite this overwhelming staff presence, it somehow took one full hour to get through the drive-thru. Sixty minutes. Long enough for me to finish an audiobook, reflect on my life choices, and watch three cars in front of me give up and flee the line like survivors of a fast-food apocalypse. When I finally reached the window, my burger looked like it had been assembled during a mild earthquake. The bun was sliding off like it was trying to escape the situation. The patty tasted like someone had described "beef" to a committee, and the committee decided to wing it. The lettuce drooped like it needed a nap. The fries were lukewarm, which is impressive considering the hourlong odyssey they must have undertaken to reach my vehicle. Salt content: 0% on the fries, 400% in my soul. Would I return? Honestly, yes--because its only option on Thanksgiving at 12:30am. Will I hate myself for doing so? Also yes
