Food on plane
Victoria L.

I think the biggest aspect of picking an airline is if you got to your destination safely and yes 100% I did. I got to Germany and back in one piece. However this is for the accommodations and customer service. Other aircrafts give you entertainment. If you wanted to watch a movie you would have to on your phone by connecting to WiFi. Honestly this is the most annoying way to watch films because your phone is dying constantly and you have to hold your phone versus just looking at the seat back for your movie. The food on the flight was not good at all- the first flight was pasta and tomato paste. Umm ok, be aware this is the low budget airline and you're not gonna get what you pay for as far as accommodations and customer service. They don't notify you of any updates on travel notifications- it's 2021 and Covid be sure to look everything up. Because that's what they said to me I needed to make myself aware.

Seat space in economy. I'm 1,73m tall.

My flight experience was pleasant. I made the Frankfurt-Seattle journey, the plane wasn't full so the flight attendants were nice enough to sit the passengers with some space between them. Plane was of an old model (Boeing 767 300ER) but restored, functional and well cleaned (which I really appreciate). The staff was professional and nice, within what it's expected from an airline. My seat didn't have much space, although I chose one aisle seat so I was able to better manage that problem. Food not so good, which is maybe the only small complaint that I have. Considering the prices and my experience, I recommend it.

Very recently this year Condor started nonstop flights from Seattle to Frankfurt Germany and other destinations in Western and Eastern Europe. We are talking about 10.5 hours on the plane people...it's not that much fun. Before I get into the actual flight experience, I wanted to mention the excellent customer service I received over the phone with these guys. While booking my EU flight online, my credit card company decided to block my card (common practice these days)...after spending nearly 20 minutes on the phone to get my card unblocked, I had to call Condor in hopes of still being able to get the same flight and rates. A gentleman with a German accent, very patiently made sure I got my flights. Even after my CC company decided to block my card once again, LOL. He waited until I got off the phone with them on another line and helped me complete the transaction. There was no fuss, only a very calm demeanor and a few jokes about my overly cautious CC company. I ended up getting a different card after my trip ;-) As far as the flight itself, it was as pleasant as 10.5 hours on a plane could possibly be. Flight attendants were courteous and accommodating. We had lots of drink breaks and 2 meals...although the later was very German and may not be appealing to an American pallet. Their rates seem to be very competitive, so I see myself flying Condor again across the pond.

Even with the seat assignments, charging for the 2nd bag and having to check in for boarding groups can seem more cumbersome and inefficient; the one thing that STILL stands out to me is the Gold Standard of customer service that has NOT changed! From curb check-in, Ticket counter and Gate agents, everyone still greets me with a smile, and goes above and beyond to help with any questions or concerns. I especially would like to point out a recent experience I had at the Seattle Ticket Counter with agent: Vise - She was so gracious, and worked to reroute us even though our booked flights were over 10 hours away still, and put us in seats together through both legs of our trip and got us home a half day earlier than planned. This has helped me realize that great customer service still exists and that is why I still Fly SWA! :)

Tip* if you have a Free drink ticket with your boarding pass you may have to inform the crew before you sit down. When I tried on my departing flight to use it the flight attendant wouldn't take it ("drinks are free") and I was too tired to discuss over other passengers next to me. The returning flight I informed the crew and I had no issues.

This line also provides quick guidance for updating travel plans, checking flight details, and dealing with unexpected changes, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free chance. As an Emerald member in the oneworld alliance, I have consistently enjoyed complimentary seat selection on partner airlines, so my expectations for this American Airlines experience were fairly high. Unfortunately, this particular flight did not meet those expectations. I paid an additional $140 for seats that were shown during the booking process as having a more favorable layout. However, after boarding, my wife and I realized that the actual seating arrangement did not match what had been displayed when we made the purchase. Paying extra for seats that ultimately did not reflect the advertised configuration was disappointing. My assigned seat, 6K, also turned out to be less comfortable than expected, mainly due to inadequate cushioning. The lack of proper lower back support made the flight more tiring than it should have been, and I had to depend on extra pillows and blankets for comfort throughout most of the journey. On longer flights in particular, seat comfort becomes a critical part of the overall experience, and this aspect fell short. The customer service experience added further frustration. I initially contacted an agent in Detroit to clarify details about my flight and aircraft. I was then transferred to another department, reportedly in Chicago, where I was informed they could not assist and directed me to yet another number. That call eventually sent me back to the original Detroit contact. After multiple transfers and repeating the issue several times, I finally reached an agent who could provide the basic information I needed from the beginning. Once onboard, the aircraft itself appeared clean, modern, and well maintained, and most of the flight attendants were professional and hardworking despite a busy cabin. However, as the flight progressed, the overall cabin environment became less comfortable. Several passengers were loud and inconsiderate, and the lavatories became increasingly untidy within a few hours, with wet floors and sinks that were not properly maintained. While I do acknowledge the effort and professionalism of the cabin crew under demanding conditions, the inconsistent customer service, uncomfortable seating, and declining cabin cleanliness ultimately overshadowed the positive aspects of the flight. Based on this experience, I would carefully compare other airlines before considering American Airlines again for similar travel in the future.

This is a low-coster. It is disingenuous to expect full-price service…read more Your gates WILL be in the farthest corners of the airport. You will be pestered with emails suggesting to pay for this and that in advance to make your trip more pleasant or predictable. You MAY be asked to prove that your hand luggage fits in their size bins (there were two next to my gate with stern warnings, so you can try in advance). You CAN pay through the app in the airport if you need to convert your personal item into a carry-on but that will eat some of the savings. The seats do not tilt; because of that the seating area is actually wider and pant size 42 man comfortably fits with no intrusion to the neighboring space. IMHO 44 should fit too. Your flight crew WILL be nice and bottomless tea or coffee will be 4 bucks. The lavatory is, probably, not cleaned between the flights. I was first and the seat was already "sprinkled" and one of two rolls of toilet paper was already down to the bare core. Short delays are very common with Frontier (at least on LAX-SEA they are) but usually they recover most of it through the flight. My flight left 20 minutes late but arrived on-time. If you fly with just the "personal item" AKA small backpack 18x14x8", accept the toilet situation (I am not saying that they never clean, only that on my flight it was not - for sure), and OK with the need to walk / take a free shuttle from the gate to the airplane, you will save 35%. If you have carry on, you will save ~15%, and if you are flexible with your travel dates, you will fly half-price comparing to the major airlines. The caveat is the usual - no changes and no upgrades of anything.

I flew from LAs Vegas to Seattle today on flight number 2407. The flight attendants were, by far,…read morethe most unprofessional, unhelpful, and rude attendants I have ever encountered. There was a woman and a man who were in the back of the plane where the restrooms are. Before the flight even took off, the woman said to her male coworker that "the higher ups" don't like her and that's why she's in the back. They then continued talking extremely loudly to the extent that I and several people seated near me thought the conversation was coming out of the overhead speakers. Their conversations consisted of a kind of flirty exchange where the woman was sharing her entire dating life, stories about being drunk and even saying that she has 6 months clean. They continued talking extremely loudly despite multiple passengers looking back and questioning how they could be so unaware. The plane was extremely quiet as many people were returning from Las Vegas so extremely tired and trying to nap. After about 45 minutes, I went to the bathroom near them and politely asked if they realized that the whole back half of the plane e could hear their entire conversation. The response was that this is how they keep themselves awake on the job and began laughing and exchanging undermining and outwardly rude glances. I went back to my seat and about 10 minutes later, a man who was two rows from the back of the plane stood up and asked something similar to the following...would you guys mind keeping it down? We have spent the entire time on this flight listening to your discussions about inappropriate subjects and we would appreciate it if you would remain professional and spare us the details of your personal lives. They laughed and did not respond at which point t he said, "no wonder the higher up's don't like you." They continued to converse loudly and snicker about the passengers requests. At one point a different flight attendant approached them and we thought she would be asking them to quiet down but within moments she was laughing and clearly not informing them that they were out of line. At this time, I was filming and attempting to Document the situation. The woman then approached my seat and demanded that I stop recording. She had a red card and said if I did not stop recording she would hand the red card and I would be met by the police upon landing. When I tried to explain the situation, she said that she was unaware of that and when I asked for a supervisor, she stated the there was no supervisor on board and reminded me that it is against privacy rules to Record anyone without their permission. Overall, this was the worst flight I have ever experienced. The lack of professionalism and common courtesy was astounding. I will never fly with Frontier again.

Thankfully, Qatar Airways did provide a hotel for everyone who was stranded, but that doesn't make up for the lost time and stress they caused. What made the situation even worse was that one of the agents lied to multiple passengers. They told everyone they would arrange and pay for a rental car so they could go out and explore Doha for about three hours during the unexpected stay. That never happened. They got people's hopes up with promises they never kept. On top of that, passengers weren't even given food money or meal vouchers. Losing an entire day of an international trip because of a connection that was far too short is unacceptable. The poor communication, false promises, and lack of proper customer service made an already frustrating situation even worse. I genuinely do NOT recommend booking with Qatar Airways.

My extra $140 got us assigned seating to sit next to my partner for both flights near the front of the plane for both legs. It also got both of us a free carry-on item each, both ways in addition to our personal item. More than enough for a 2-day trip! Considering the fact that, if you checked in a bag at the airport day of, it could cost you $65 per bag, per leg that feels like a great deal! I mean, even with the extra money my total ticket price is still under $200 each round trip. I can totally live with that! As for the flights themselves, it is still Spirit so keep your expectations reasonable (read:low). Both flights were delayed, but nothing too bad. Usual mix of some very nice employees and some mildly passive ones as well. Nothing too bad. Honestly, I can bitch all I want, but I know for the right price and a short enough trip I will use them again. 3 stars.

ZERO stars. Spirit is unreal. First time flying with Spirit Airlines. Customer service at the check…read morein counter is not the greatest. You will pay an arm and a leg for baggage. Please update your baggage policy on the website, that would be courteous especially for active duty personnel. You get two free baggage but at the counter you are told to verify your ID at the time of purchasing. The big guy with blond hair and young lady with curly dark hair were very unhelpful at check in.3/7/24 flying out of SEATAC this morning. The airplane lacks cleanliness too. Read the reviews and book with other another airline.

The airline is known for offering flights to the most destinations around the world. I flew on Turkish a few years ago from Seattle to Thessaloniki via Istanbul during spring break. For the most part, it was a good experience. The pluses are mostly with the in-flight experience. They use Dreamliner planes and serve tasty meals on all flights, including my short haul flights to and from Greece. The IFE system has extensive entertainment and they give all passengers an amenity bag on long haul flights. Lastly, the baggage allowance is generous as you can check in 2 bags. I do also want to bring up some items to consider booking on Turkish. My flight to Istanbul was nearly a hour late, but I still made my connection. Try not to book flights with short layovers. Also some of the connections have long layovers to destinations in the Middle East and Central Asia with flights arriving at odd hours. You may want to consider doing a stopover in Istanbul instead, which Turkish has a good program for. Lastly, gate security in Istanbul is extensive. So expect a thorough check of your carryon items before your flight. Overall, I enjoyed flying on Turkish. It is a well run airline with good fares to Europe and a great in-flight experience. However, you should consider travel time, especially layovers and the amount of backtracking needed to get to your destination when deciding whether to book.

Our layover was long enough to be able to get to our next gate, and yet short enough to feel like we weren't wasting time. The flight was frankly luxurious compared to other long international flights. We flew to South America yearly for a while, and the economy experience on Turkish Airlines was like the Business Class experience on the unnamed airline to Montevideo. There were always two options for the meals. My wife was able to get gluten-free meals. The help staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It may well have been the best long flight experience in my life.
