I want to start by saying we were right there when they opened. So being the first customer of the day, could have something to do with our culinary experience. Maybe they weren't warmed up yet. However, we saw this place while running errands and really wanted to give them a try. The vibe is cool inside. Nice industrial feel and decent music. Our server was kind and seemed knowledgeable. The food was just meh. Our experience was nothing that would make us do a repeat visit. We had the Mexican corn which was disappointing. For everything it had in it, it lacked flavor. It's one of my favorite dishes to order but just tasted like corn with crème. The queso Blanco similarly had no flavor which seemed pretty unreal. Most queso is pretty packed with flavor. The tacos were okay. The salsas were good but as a whole there was no flavor profile. I ordered the build your own taco. So I ordered: Flour tortilla, chicken, corn salsa, Avocado ranch Flour tortilla, braised brisket, pineapple salsa, and cilantro lime aioli So the reason the restaurant got two stars was due to the drinks! I came to Condado Tacos for the first time on a Friday night with a group of about 8 friends and it was not as busy as I thought it would be! We had a long table near the bar. As all of us had big jackets and purses, it was hard to store everything at the table. The stools weren't super comfortable unfortunately. On the bright side, the servers were kind, pleasant, and patient with us! The menu is pretty straightforward. They have a build-your-own option, along with options built by the chef. I built my own taco and it came out with an ingredient on it that I did not ask for, which is fine, but for someone else, I'd be a little concerned about allergies. I didn't realize this was a national chain, but it was so good! Will definitely come back in the future. read more

The food that I ordered at Condado Tacos gets a solid three stars from me. It was OK. However, my husband ordered the Skywalker Nachos, and he said that they were the best nachos that he's ever had. Gentle reader: My husband is a man who has had a lot of nachos in his life. A lot of nachos. He's also not one to hyperbolize about food -- or anything, for that matter. So, if the man says that they're the best nachos that he's ever had, then I'm going to believe that Condado has the best nachos. And I'm going to bump up my review to four stars instead of three. It's just the right thing to do. I didn't order the nachos. Instead, I ordered tacos, because if I've never visited a restaurant, I generally like to order the thing that they're known for. In this case, it's tacos, because "taco" is in their name. I got one Ooey-Gooey (hard corn shell, black beans, queso blanco, roasted chicken, cilantro + onions, and dirty sauce) and one El Tradicional (flour soft shell, guacamole, house-made chorizo, cilantro + onions, and queso fresco). I also got a side of rice and bacon refried beans. And we got the chips and guacamole for the table. The tacos were very flavorful but very spicy. The spice drowned out all of the other flavors. I tried to cut some of the spice with bites of rice and beans, but they, too, were weirdly spicy. The rice had lots of pepper in it, and the beans were almost inedible because of how spicy they were. Now, I like spice, but when EVERYTHING you eat is spicy, then there's just no nuance to the meal. It's all just a lot of spice. I feel like the flavors of everything I ordered were turned up to level 11. Also: Don't come at me with "Well, you just live in Indiana and can't handle the heat." I am Mexican and I grew up in L.A., so I can handle spicy food. But my food was just a bombardment of spice with nothing to balance it out. Mexican food needs to be like a symphony: It needs to be a combination of high and low notes, not all high notes. The kids menu is almost nonexistent. There is one item on the kids menu, and it's a chicken and cheese taco. Also: Apparently, that taco is spicy, too! Jeez Louise. So my kids did not eat their food, but fortunately, we got chips and guacamole, which they ate. The chips and guacamole are great, though. The guacamole is fresh and comes with pickled red onion on top. The chips are supremely crunchy and house-made. And when your basket of chips is nearing empty, they swoop in and refill it! I like bottomless chips. I also really like Condado's horchata. It's so refreshing and cinnamony! The service here at Condado Tacos is amazing. Our server was super attentive and was always refilling our water cups. She checked in on us several times, and then someone (the manager?) came and talked to us after our meal. Bar tender was amazing, friendly, and made some great recommendations. Since this was my first time in he gave me a quick intro to then menu which was just what I needed after a long day of travel. Highly recommend trying the paloma marg which was mighty tasty. Decided on the bad habit and the ooey-gooey. It was plenty of food for me and definitely hit the spot. The perfectly marinated meat with the slightly spicy habanero mango sauce made for a flavor explosion for my taste buds. My girlfriend is a big fan of Condado, so when we were looking for somewhere to eat and saw this location had just opened, we knew where we wanted to go. There was a decent wait because everyone else seemed to have the same idea, but it was definitely worth it. In order to try out as much as I could, I ordered 3 tacos with beef, chorizo and chicken respectively. Of the three, chicken was my favorite, but the other two were also delicious. The service here was a little slow, but I will chalk that up to the crowds of people paired with the fact that this location did just open. It was also hard to hear because it was very loud. Even so, everyone was very nice and polite. Perhaps the best part of our visit, however, was the tacos giveaway. Everyone walked away with at least 1 free taco. Service here is great, everyone is really friendly. This time around we had a MUCH better experience with the food. I still don't LOVE their chips. They are really thick, and I think they would be better if they were fresh and warm. But the salsas were good. Good portion size for $1.50 each. I tried the Blue Dream and the Ooey Gooey tacos. blue dream was so good! I typically don't go for beef tacos, but this was delish, the toppings and sauces were all evenly spread throughout the tacos. Very sad to report, Condados has changed there ground beef i believe. This has been my favorite restraint for a little over 2 years, almost coming here 4-6 times a month. I've already reviewed the delicious food at Condado Tacos. You've already heard me tell you how safe it is for my wife with Celiac disease and multiple food allergies. So I won't go on and on about that. Last night a group of friends came in after an evening swim at the pool. We were a starving crowd, and we got some of the best service. The manager, Mike (AKA Spicy Mike) acted as our host and intro for drinks. After that our whole party fell in love with our server, Rain. She was kind, funny, efficient, and attentive. Our table lacked for Nothing during our entire visit. She effortlessly split checks, offered upsells that our table loved, and at the end of the day we felt like we were leaving our friend to clean up. Don't get me wrong, the service at Condado's is usually very good, but there was something special about the way Mike and Rain took care of our tired late-night crowd that left the whole group of us talking about how awesome the meal was. One of my patients raved about the tacos here, so my husband and I decided to try it out. The staff is amazing, friendly and attentive. We tried the mango guacamole, which was very tasty, but had a kick, watch out. Tacos: Korean BBQ, sweet heat and blue dream. I like the Gordita crunch at Taco Bell, so I love the soft and hard shell concept they have going on here. The brisket flavor was just not there for me in the sweet heat taco, dry. My husband says it reminds him of the Asian zing sauce at bw's. The Korean bbq was flavorful. The blue dream has the cool ranch flavored shell, which sounds kewl, but it didn't make my taste buds want more, very salty. We also had the skywalker nachos with pork instead of chicken. I placed an order for carry out. This was my first experience with Condado, but I had read good reviews so I had high expectations. And the menu looked great, with unique ingredients and vegetarian and vegan options. I wanted to sample some different things so I ordered two tacos and a rice bowl. The tacos I ordered were Power Plant and Dutch Dragon. Both were very good, but the Dutch Dragon was my favorite of the two because I really liked the roasted portobellos. I was disappointed in the rice bowl, however. The protein I selected was Thai Chili Tofu, which I really liked. But the bowl was a large amount of rice and a very small amount of toppings. I would have preferred a greater ratio of toppings to rice. The amount of rice overwhelmed the tiny portion of each topping I had ordered. Since it was my first visit I don't know if that was how it was supposed to be, or if my rice bowl had been made incorrectly. Since I was taking my food to work with me I wanted to make sure I had silverware. When I picked up my food I asked the hostess for silverware, and she told me it was already in the bag. I would have checked for myself but both bags of food were stapled shut. After I left and drive to work I found out there was no silverware in either bag. This is a pretty OK chain taco joint. No one is going to say it is authentic Mexican, but they don't claim to be. It's more like the LA fusion taco scene. I, however, decided to try their standard tacos (chorizo, chicken) and they were a little plain and salty (especially the chorizo). Also, most of their tacos come on flour tortillas which is a little weird (unless it's seafood taco should be made with a corn tortilla). And they were a little pricey ($4-$6) and you are charged for everything. Even a little side of pickled onions or carrots. They do clearly label their menu items as gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, etc., if you're interested in that. The service was pretty uneven too. We had a few kids in our party and our young server looked like a deer in headlights. I think she was avoiding our table at times because she would power walk past us with her eyes averted. The ambiance is actually pretty cool in an eclectic sort of way. I'm willing to give this place another shot, but this time I am going to try some of the fusion tacos (Korean BBQ?) and see if they are any more memorable. read more

Finally stopped in at Condado Tacos. Being from Texas, I have been trying to find a good taco place to frequent. I ordered to-go and while I waited, had a margarita at the bar. They have a $6 house margarita special all day on Monday. I ordered the Korean BBQ and Braised + Confused along with a few other tacos for my family. The Korean BBQ tasted like pulled pork. I didn't get the gochujang taste from the taco. The other taco was alright too. The tacos are overpriced for what you get and although the concept it there, the execution was not. read more

Condoado is responsible for helping me get outside of my comfort zone and just "going for it".. basically not pick the taco apart and only have meat, cheese, lettuce and sour cream. I'm in the process of working my way around the whole menu of tacos that they've created and they're all home runs so far. One day I came in and had a margarita and it was top 3 for sure! All of the cheese dipping sauces with chips were thicker than your average queso, however not bad at all. We needed a place for a quick lunch and since tacos are my husband's love language, we landed here. To be transparent, we thought this was going to be more of a fast casual situation instead of sit down, but it turned out to be not a big deal. The restaurant was busy but not overly so. We sat at the bar, which was empty at lunchtime on a week day. The bartender came by to tell us the drink special. I ordered a sparkling margarita and my husband had the house margarita. The sparkling margarita was excellent - basically a traditional lime margarita with sparkling water in it, which made it a bit lighter and more refreshing. I had the Plain Jane and Braised + Confused tacos. The Plain Jane was a pretty traditional chicken taco with smoked cheddar. What made it stand out was the Kewl Ranch shell, giving it a nice bonus burst of flavor. The Braised + Confused was a brisket taco in a soft flour shell. It had a little bit of spice to it. The brisket was tender and flavorful. Each taco was a little more than $5, but they were stuffed with meat and toppings. We each had two and left feeling perfectly satisfied. I'd like to do a build-your-own option next time and try an appetizer. The interior is bright and colorful, the music was good, and staff were friendly. Overall, great experience! read more

I've been a ride of die with Condado since 2014 when they opened their first location in Columbus. While they have pivoted their menu to be more signature taco offerings than build your own..I'm not complaining one bit. This is my go-to lunch spot when I am craving tacos. The service for lunch is always super fast, although I usually sit at the bar and few people do so that could be a factor. Any of the dips (queso, guac, salsa) are all ready to go so they come out super quickly when you order them. My new favorite taco suggestion: the Blue Dream which comes with ground beef as the protein and features a double cool ranch Doritos shell! read more
