Came here today (Monday) with some friends for their Daily Deal. Our host & food runner provided excellent service and I'm not going to lie the food wasn't bad at all besides the tacos being cold. I enjoyed the vibes and artwork here, though the music was quiet and basically just background noise. What really did it for us was our server/bartender. I ordered two tacos & two skinny margaritas. The marg's should have been $4 or $5 dollars according to the waiter KAYLEN which I asked him about prior to ordering. Upon receiving the check, it came out to $18 for both margaritas. When we asked him about it he replied, "It's not my job to correct y'all." When my friend asked him his name he lied and said it was John. After we left we called to express how disappointed we were with his service and the manager said we don't have a "John" at this location. I'll never come back to this location or this franchise based on this experience. I can get over a cold taco when the service is good, but Kaylen ruined it for everyone. It was a weak margarita and weak service on his part when I explicitly asked him if the daily deals were still happening and he replied "yes" just to charge us full price. Never again. read more

I was all hype to come and try this restaurant after hearing good reviews about it. The Margaritas were sweet very sweet. I order 2 tacos and they looked good but when I took a bite the taco was cold, cold like it was just coming out of the refrigerator, and took a bite of the other taco and same thing, cold. I asked the server if the tacos are supposed to be cold and he said no, I told him that both these tacos were cold like they just took the meat out of the refrigerator and put on the taco and add the toppings. The server took them back and had the cook "recook" them but they were still cold and the server told me, its cold because of the toppings. I told him, there is a difference. I ordered to go here. The chicken burrito with queso and salsa on top. I asked for everything on the side as I was taking it home. The burrito was huge but the flavors were lacking without the salsa or the queso to dip in. This burrito needed help. It was a big burrito but no flavor at all. My friend and I went here on a Monday night, it wasn't too busy. We ordered margarita flights and were excited to try! They come out and our server has no idea which one is which. She drops them off and leaves. We realize we were given incorrect drinks. She comes back and tells us they all basically taste the same, but goes back to the bar to confirm. She confirms they're wrong but doesn't think it makes sense to bring out new ones??? We order food. We've been die hard Condado fans since the break with Barrio ownership in Cleveland . We've visited the downtown location it was awesome. Came to this location from 2 hours away and today was awful. Let's start with Sunday at 1:00 there is only one bartender for the whole restaurant. 8 dirty tables, 7 tables with people, and 4 people at the bar. I don't care how good you are that's a lot for one person. If you are at least going to be swamped be friendly. The bartender had the personality of a wet paper towel. She looked like She hated being there and it showed in the care. Ordered the three dip two were wrong, it was supposed to be Queso Chorizo, Elote Guac and the Green hot salsa. We got Elote queso, Elote guac and red salsa. I asked for dirty sauce to at least make it spicy, never comes. I ordered a dragon fruit habanero with the spicy rim, extra spicy she forgot it for 15 minutes then it's no rim and not spicy. Fine. I ask again for my hot sauce. Two tacos were wrong in the order and by this time I am over it. They were cold but she never checked so here we are. We used to really like this place and it was a part of our regular 4 restaurants that we would patronize, but I fear that will probably no longer be the case. First, my wife and I eat a pescatarian diet. We loved their portobello mushroom option, which we would order via their Dutch Dragon taco offering as well as substitute for the chicken on their Skywalker nachos that we would order on each visit. Sadly, they stopped offering the mushrooms over a year ago. We have tried their other meat-free options, such as the veggie chorizo (way-over-the-top too salty) and the tofu (too sweet for my wife) without success. We also tried the shrimp, but found it to be a poor value between the upcharge and on the nachos and how few they applied. Second, like things everywhere these days, their prices have gone up and the portion sizes have gone down. We used to order 1 taco each and split the nachos and be stuffed. To be honest, the nachos were enough to fill us both. Now, the nachos might be a meal for 1 person. Finally, we asked for extra black-beans on the Skywalker nachos on our most recent visit in place of the chicken only to find out when we got the bill that we were charged a couple of bucks for the black beans even though we didn't order the chicken or any other meat. Bottom line, we no longer crave the menu items that they offer and find the value of our dining experience to be greatly decreased from what we used to appreciate. read more

I have been going to Condado for years (mostly the downtown location; they're great but I probably won't be back to this one) and I was disappointed on this visit. I ordered two tacos on the website for a pickup order. I got there to pick up my order and didn't think to unwrap them before leaving or look too closely (my fault) because I didn't want to drive back home with unwrapped tacos in a bag.. And just assumed it would be correct. One of the only reasons I'm okay with spending $6+ on a single taco is because I love the hard and soft shell with queso and guacamole in between the layers. Once I got into them, no guac or queso in the taco this time and I was disappointed because I spent the extra money for that (albeit $1.50 per taco) and that's my favorite part. I also just felt like the overall quality was much different than I'm used to- almost no sauce at all (it was all in a blob on one side) and the service was mediocre; the hostess was at the bar talking to the bartender and not greeting people. Another family came in after me and waited for her to finish talking to go greet them. Not my favorite experience here, especially if I'm not getting what I order. Editing my review because I also forgot to include that the cilantro and onion also was not on the taco. Two out of the seven things I asked for were not included. Some kid wearing a server's uniform (blonde hair with an Eddie Munster haircut) rushed past me on the way in, cutting me off and ignoring me even though I held the door for him. The polite young lady who seated me disappeared and I waited for 15 minutes before the bartender and a trainee came to my table. I was about to leave. I recently tried Condado Tacos for the first time with a takeout order, and while I'm open to giving it another chance, this visit fell short for me. I had asked for chips and dip to enjoy while waiting, but they were packed with my to-go order instead, and both the dip and the burrito I ordered were surprisingly bland--especially considering the price point, which is higher than dedicated burrito spots like Chipotle or Qdoba. Though, similar to those places, the burrito had lots of filler and was stingy on protein. The flavors just didn't land the way I hoped. That said, the atmosphere seemed decent (at least from what I could tell on a Thursday night), and I've heard their tacos might be the highlight, so I'll likely return to try those before making a final call. read more

I've visited several Condado locations and I loved the outside seating at the Carmel location! The wait staff served us outside and were constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything! We tried the seasonal strawberry fields guac and I did not think I would like it, but I ended up LOVING it! The sweet and spicy was a great combo! We like Condado's. Was going there when first opened in Columbus, OH and happy when it came here. Good options for vegetarians and vegans. If it matters to you (because it does to us), fryers are only used for tots, tofu, and tortilla chips. No meat in the fryers. We have gotten carry out and dined in a number of times. Went to the Carmel Condado (conveniently located on Old Meridian across from the Meijer). It was a 5 * day! Beautiful weather, not to hot or cold-let's eat outside. My husband wanted shade. I wanted sun. Easy! We were taken to a table with just the right umbrella position to take care of us. Standard margaritas on special. Score! Our server was attentive and gave great suggestions to get us through the dip an chip quandary. The chorizo queso is good with a hint of cinnamon. The guacamole was creamy with a little crunch and heat. Smoked bacon queso needs no recommendation or second thoughts. Genius. My husband got tacos. I opted for a bowl. I wanted to go a little light, so the choice was a lemon kale or lettuce. I opted for lettuce and shredded pork. Our server gave good recommendations for the sauces and cheeses and extras. Came to check out condado tacos during devour- such a great deal during this time! We got a drink, full size dip, and entree (either 2 tacos, bowl, or nachos) for $22. What a steal! For course 1, I got a strawberry margarita and it was delicious! Not too sweet but great flavor. I would definitely order this again! For course 2, my husband and I tried the queso & pineapple guac. The queso was amazing! The pineapple guac was interesting- tasted a little better with the hunny bites. I think the actual guac base lacked flavor & not a huge fan of that. For the entree, I went with the fire roasted corn bowl. It was a huge portion with a lot of chicken but maybe too much cojita cheese. It tasted a little dry (I did hold the beans) thankfully I was already full from the chips & dip but would not get that bowl again. Came on a Sunday, first time at any of the Condado. I saw this restaurant on Fox 59 news. I am happy to say that after talking to Brett, the manager, they are opening a location in Greenwood Spring 2024. I ordered a prickly pear margarita. It was very good. Onto the meal which is not your traditional style Mexican food. Everything is ala cart, so chips and salsa are $2.00. The green salsa is like a Verde, and the red is a little more spicy but good flavor. The chips are even housemade, which you can tell they are cut tortilla, and deep fried. Everything is very fresh! Main meal, I ordered tacos. You can order the suggested ones or build your own. I built my own, and I chose steak and shredded chicken. The hard shell is in the middle, wrapped with a flour tortilla. They put a thin layer of beans inside, and you can choose your toppings from a variety on the menu. I choose cilantro, lettuce, and cojita cheese. I got the sour cream and guacamole on the side. I like spicy stuff, and the guacamole is spicy. My other half didn't like how spicy it was and would have it left off next time. So it starts to pick your shell, your meat, cheese, toppings, then 2-3 toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, onion, cilantro, etc. It did not come with rice or beans that's extra. Also, you can do a bowl, but that would have reminded me of Chipotle, and I wanted the experience. I received a nice welcome by my friendly server, took advantage of lunch prices, chuckled at the visually fun interior with colorful murals, and the restaurant is surrounded by 2 sides of large windows providing an abundance of natural lighting. The interior is fun with a decent amount of bar seating (over 21+) with high or low-top tables surrounding the bar area. Condado offers several types of Margarita's from house, a seasonal Sunrise Slush, crafted (Handsome Devil with Tanteo Haberno-infused Tequila) and 3 Top-Shelf Margaritas. The House Margarita is 22 ozs. for $9. If margaritas are not your favorite, you'll find Draft Beer along with bottles and cans. Don't overlook the 3 new cocktails, Aperol Limonada $9 (vodka), Dewdropper $10 (gin), and Funky Kingston $12 is a rum coctail). Mocktails and a few other Zero Proof beverages are available. The tacos were delicious with a wide selection of different meats and other proteins. I had the pork taco with the flour tortilla on the outside with a crisp taco shell inside the flour filled with the meat and all the toppings. Extremely good! I also had a 1/2 order of street corn (off the cob) with all the wonderful spices. Don't pass this up if you enjoy corn!! Condado, on Mass Ave., was extremely loud the last couple of times I was there. We struggled to have a conversation. TL;DR Go to Social Cantina. The food is hot and tastes better. Taco's should be hot. Beer should be cold. A restaurant that serves primarily tacos should be able to nail this by serving tacos hot. This place can't. My second time here and my taco was cold. Not even warm. My wife's nachos were cold. She was too hungry to send them back but I asked for my taco to be microwaved. First off, the staff here are amazing! We had the warmest welcome -- from the genuine smiles by the folks at the host stand, to the jolliest man who dropped off our food and a wonderful server. It's clear that they have great management and a great hiring process. The vibe here is also really cool, with bright colors, great indoor/outdoor seating, fun graphics, and more. We also liked the menu and opted for the queso, guac, two tacos, and a build-your-own bowl. The queso was pretty good, but the guac was almost liquid and you could tell that it came from a fridge and wasn't made fresh. It was also too spicy for our liking. My husband's tacos were pretty greasy and spicy, and the meat was dry too, so he didn't eat either. My bowl was okay, but the rice wasn't great and just overall didn't seem like it was made with very quality ingredients. i was very surprised that when I got there this place was empty. They have free street parking out front and a small parking lot in the back. They have indoor dining area seating, an awesome patio that wraps around the the front and side of the restaurant. There is also a full bar with seating available to drink and dine as well. There are television above the bar and a few in the dining area. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. The first thing that you will notice when you walk in here is that it is a very colorful and trendy place. They have an awesome mural that wraps around the entire restaurant. They have a menu that mainly consists of tacos. They have an extensive margarita menu as well. You can order some of their signature tacos or you can make your own. I was not in a very creative mood so, I ordered from the signature taco menu. I ordered an El Tradicional, Sweet Heat, The Heater, and Korean BBQ. I got a Spiced Pineapple Mezacalita to wash my food down. My little got a kids beef burrito, with the warning that I may be spicy. I told the server that I would have my little give it a shot. It took about 8 minutes or so for us to get our food. My kid claimed that the burrito was too spicy for her. I ended up eating it and it was good. My burritos were awesome. Some of the best tacos that I have had in awhile. They were very flavorful and tasty. I highly recommend them. If I had to choose just one, I would go with El Tradicional, followed closely by the Sweet Heat. The Mezacalita was equally delicious and quenching. I'm a fan of Condado Tacos and felt it was the right choice for a taco Tuesday while travelling in this area. I was quickly seated, and service was quick during my visit. I had the Bud Lunch Box, which included two tacos and a half dip and chips. The queso blanco and chips that I had were a plentiful portion for one and the queso was hot. The two tacos I had were made to order and had plenty of meat and filling. Overall, a great value for their lunch deal and probably why I keep seeking these locations out. read more
