One of the two steps was defective: shorter in height than the other, anti-slip grooves that were placed to match original steps were not parallel and evenly spaced. This is a common traditional design/functional feature of the tread. The bottom step lacks a full riser height and will result in a gap between that step and the patio. We knew the step was odd looking but when our landscape designer saw it, he advised us it was poorly done and needed to be redone before the landscape work could be completed. We contacted Dave explaining the problem, asking him to redo the step or refund the cost of that portion of the project. He said he would be by to demolish and redo the step. On the day of the scheduled redo, he was a no show with no message from him. My husband text messaged and called him with no response, he attempted to reach Dave several times. This man does not keep his word. This no-show ghosting is nothing new, as another reviewer indicated he had the same experience, missed appointments TNT Concrete makes with its customers. There is a history on their part as being no shows on days they have committed to work. We now are paying another contractor to have the step replaced, an extra expense we should not have if Dave had taken responsibility and replaced the step or refunded the cost. This is no way to treat customers. I do not recommend this business.

Excavators NW used a simple inexpensive fix and since then my basement has been dry. We had been quoted by others nearly 10 times what Excavators NW charged. Excavators NW had a much better understanding of the drainage and reasons for the flooding. Their repair included partial sewer drain replacement, French drain, and a sump pump, all of which were a lot less costly and made more sense for our 90-year-old Ballard home than what other companies proposed. I found out Excavators NW do a lot of work to keep houses dry since most of their business is lifting houses and putting in new basements. I knew nothing about the process but was curious and the owner was very accommodating in explaining how he keeps his customers basements forever dry. Super knowledgeable and super nice guy too. Highly recommended.

Fast forward a few month, we drove past a neighbors house and saw Western's sign, gave them a call and within a day or so Ross was at the house walking through what we wanted, what they would do, how they would do it, and the next day we had an estimate. The steep hillside, and retaining wall weren't the only challenges, the biggest is that there is no access to get equipment to the backyard, so everything would need to be done by hand. Ross and the Western team continued to work through our pricing questions, and we came to a fair price to do the work. When it came time to do the work, the crew did not disappoint. They were moving quickly, and were doing great work. They had some tough logistics and made it seem easy. The final product was an amazing backyard, a structurally sound retaining wall, and awesome new landscape around the house. The whole time, we always had access to Ross, and more so to his team that would email us back same day or within 24 hours. They always let us know what was going on. We would definitely recommend the Western team and will go back to them for future work!

Michael (sales rep) was very helpful in walking me through the process and working within my budget. The job took no more than 2 days to complete, the team was very respectful and worked quickly. The end product was awesome (i'll attach pictures). But where they won me over was their quick resolve. I have a watering system, which one of the pipes under turf area, broke during the job. I found this out after the job was complete when trying it, which was over the weekend. All the important components were there including high quality materials. This company had my confidence and my business. The crew of 7, led by foreman Anderson, did outstanding work. As foreman, Anderson made onsite decisions that were brilliant and showed respect for my neighbors and my property. He worked right alongside the crew. The work progressed very quickly from demolition, and tree removal, to materials delivery, through excavation for the footings, quality drainage, wall building with backfill. They even moved my 6'x8' shed out of the way to build and then restored it to its original place! The crew clearly had a lot of respect for Anderson. They showed up early morning, worked a long day sometimes in the cold rain of December and never slowed their steady pace down. They tidied up the site at the close of each day and mitigated damage to existing pathways by putting plywood down to protect from heavy wheelbarrow loads. With the large crew my project was complete in 4 days! Nothing short of miraculous! I am very grateful for the work Aguiar Pavers did and highly recommend this company! 1st class, honest, knowledgeable!
