I recently visited Concord Vet Clinic for my new pup Stormy. Dr chhina brought her in and examined her. The pup had parasites and worms as she was a rescue but with 2 weeks of meds, she is back to normal. Stormy does not get anxious about coming into this office and everyone is quite helpful with her. Pricing is up front and they tell you what they think the pet needs with rates. Some of the other reviewers on here seem questionable (especially the ones without a photo) and those who claim to have been "overcharged?". I don't think the staff took their credit card and ran it on their behalf. If you don't want a service based on the price, you can say no... For instance, there were some services that were more expensive and I decided to wait on those. Dr Chhina had no issue with this. Stormy will be going back soon to be spayed! I'd highly recommend Dr Chhina, I can't speak for the other doctors as I have not had the opportunity to work with them.

I visited the clinic and saw Dr Chhina for my dog, Tyson. When Tyson was hit by a car, we had visited an emergency clinic that attempted to charge us $1000+ for x-rays. I understand veterinary care is expensive but that sounded quite high. Thankfully, our experience at Concord Veterinary Clinic was a breath of fresh air. Dr. Chhina's approach was both thorough and compassionate. Not only did she conduct a comprehensive examination and x-rays for Tyson, but she also took the time to explain the process. Although his healing process would be long, Dr Chhina kept checking in to ensure Tyson was able to walk again. We were given a quote before any treatment so that there would be no surprises which I appreciated. In our moment of need, Dr. Chhina's expertise and genuine care truly shone. It's a relief to have found a veterinary clinic that aligns with our values of empathy.

You always do a great job with Bella. She is difficult. Surprisingly, I have not had any complaints from your staff about having any problems with her. Everyone is very friendly there. Thank you for your services.

This was my first time at this building since I worked there when it was Alpine Vet Hospital.... I have diagnosed PTSD from what the previous doctor / owner did to me so I was very... on edge and nervous. All I have to say is from the moment I stepped in to the second I left I had nothing but a pleasant and welcoming experiance . Dr Vaynberg was very kind and made my dog feel comfortable during the exam. She didn't pressure any sales, and also cared about my questions and concerns. The staff members Julia, Bob and Guadalupe were nothing but on top of their A-Game and their smiles were just added rays of sunshine. Would definitely recommend this place as a Vet for your animals. I will return with the rest of my Zoo.

It does not state some details of the visit.

It's okay spot. But they don't care to take care of client, sincerely out of care. You don't receive the best service if you're not spending a lot. That's my experience while being my dog here. I don't recommend giving this company your business...... also information missing on your receipt

RIP my sweet boy

I must say having to put my sweet boy down, the staff was so Compassionate. We had our appointment 30 min before they closed and quickly realized there was nothing we could do to save our sweet baby. They told us to take as much time before and after. They didn't rush us and we took 2.5 hours after they closed. They never tried to rush us. They even help with the payment. They took what we paid for the vet visit and took it off the price to put him down. I was so thankful that they loved him with us to the end. I went here one other time when he was healthy and they where so sweet with him then too. I don't remember anyone's names. Too sad. But I just want to tell the staff that we there to help my Juno, thank you!

Shaved both front paws.

Horrible experience, brought my dog in for a check up since he wasn't feeling well. It was my first experience with them. Total bill was $700 for blood work and a half assed diagnosis. They also sent me home with a pee cup, shaved partially his neck and tried to withdrawal blood from his front paw which is a big NO NO. They wouldn't refund me for the pee cup which was an additional $60 and the blood work they tested for assured me he would get a proper panel screening but instead referred me else where and gave me a possible "this could be wrong with him but not sure" type of answer. Took my dog back to his original vet and they were horrified to see his neck shaved and front paw withdrawal. Never going back and don't recommend under any circumstances!

After a bad experience where my cat chipped one of her fangs on the metal table and almost ran away at a different vet office due to the roughness and negligence of the staff, my boyfriend and I decided to look for a different vet, and we were shocked after our first visit of how attentive, thorough, and kind the staff was with our pets and understanding with our budget needs and provided detailed estimate and breakdown of cost. Overall the staff are very compassionate animals lovers such as Bob and Monica who have been very kind with my anxious dog and my very shy cat. Both Dr. Chhina and Dr. Vaynberg are absolutely amazing, very informative and compassionate. This is the first vet experience I've had where they actually show they care for your pet, they make a point to follow up and ask about your pet and give you so much detail compared to past vets I've been to. I am so glad I found this place. Much love to the staff from my babies Miranda, Layka, and Pelusa!

Special Agent Dale Cooper had the sniffles, but he's feeling much better now.

I really appreciate how Concord Veterinary Clinic is able to accommodate my boys on short notice, and everyone here is so friendly and seems to truly care about your pets. I don't feel like the doctors are recommending unnecessary services, like I have before at other vet hospitals. This hospital is quite a drive for me as I live in Richmond, but I'd rather go to a reasonable vet that cares.

After we arrived the Dr accessed and then emailed an estimated cost to which you agree to and pay electronically. Melissa A. was Lacy's nurse/tech, I don't know her title exactly but she was AWESOME with Lacy ( and me, lol ). First she administered drops in her eyes to make her vomit. After it works then they reverse it with a shot. Then they rehydrated her via IV. Followed by charcoal mixed with baby food to absorb anything left. Lacy stayed with us the entire time, it seemed like most pets stayed with their person. During our close to 2 hours there I witnessed a ton of tug on your heartstrings stuff. I watched them treat a lot of dogs for different things, someone brought in their snake. Everyone working there was calm and gentle with the pets and the people. Emergency vet isn't cheap but I am so grateful to them. Lacy is feeling fine now. We have now nicknamed that cake our 1000 dollar cake;) If your pet needs them I highly recommend!

I have had really great visits at VEG in the past. But after today's visit I'm not sure they have…read moremy pets best interest at heart or if they are more focused on how much they can charge me. I was dismissed and full on disrespected by Dr Katy Wilkinson. My dog can be reactive/anxious at the vet. I called before coming asking if I should give home his trazodone/gabapentin to keep him calm and they instructed me not to do so. Which I listened to. After explaining my pets symptoms and behavioral issues I also explained to the Dr how my pet does better with exams when I'm out of the room because he is very protective over me. After hearing everything DR Wilkinson determined they would want to move forward with an XRay and said he'd need to be sedated. I informed her he's had X-rays at his primary vet without sedation and an ultrasound at VEG without sedation before. But she was firm she would need it. She said she would try to examine him first with the muzzle on and go from there to determine if they could do it without sedation. Her and her helper came in the room, huddled over my anxious dog on the couch and tried to examine him in front of me. He was growling and I reminded her he does better with me out of the room. She asked me to step out, which I did and watched through the blinds. They finished in 30 seconds max. After opening the door she goes yeah we have to sedate him since he was thrashing and snapping at us during exam (this never happened I watched the entire 30 second exam). I asked her if they could try to do the X-rays without sedation and if it didn't work they could sedate him. She said she would not. I explained I don't understand why we wouldn't even try when they've been able to do it before without sedation. She said "I'm not sure how they did it at your vet if they had to pin him to the table but I'm not comfortable doing that here" (said this about 5x in the next 20 minutes) insinuating that I take my pet to a place where they abuse my dog or that I'd be okay with someone doing that to my pet when I would never do or say such a thing. It was insanely rude to be saying such a thing to a pet parent. She also repeatedly said "I refuse to put my staff in danger" which o would never ask for and assured her I care about her staff as well but don't see how they would not even attempt if it had been done before. At this point in the interaction I tried to see if my primary vet could get him in for X-RAYS,but they couldn't. I let her know we could proceed with their plan but I wasn't happy with my experience and disappointment in the staffs care today. She tried to back and forth with me about why it makes sense to examine a dog with anxiety by crowding him on a couch then tried to send me to sage veterinary. I declined and said I just want my dog to be okay and taken care of here. Then she goes fine we can try to do the X-ray without sedation but you'll have to help me because I'm not putting my staff in danger. I refused. At this point I didn't have trust that she had positive intentions or even wanted to help. They switched drs and I got dr kwon instead who was AMAZING. She actually listened, did the exam on my pup with me out of the room and said he did surprisingly well (LIKE i SAID HE WOULD IN THE BEGINNING) she agreed to do the X-rays without sedation and guess what, done in 10 minutes vet tech said he did great! Her assistant Kyle was so so helpful too! If dr Wilkinson actually tried to assist my pet instead of taking the easy way out through sedation and not insinuate I take my dog to a vet in the alley where they pin him down. I'd probably have a positive experience from the start. Trying to shame a pet parent who is asking questions or trying to save on an expensive bill when it is possible is insanity. I take care of my pup, love him dearly and the fact that a vet insinuated otherwise was so upsetting. If you do come to VEG stay away from DR Wilkinson

I understand this is an emergency hospital and the doctors are busy, but when you discharge a critically ill animal who has just received a blood transfusion, there should be some way for the owner to get answers to important follow-up questions. I trusted SAGE with Goli during an extremely scary situation and spent a significant amount on her hospitalization. I had called ahead and they were able to make an appointment for him right away to save the extra cost of an emergency walk in, my cat was seen immediately and I was able to be in the exam room with him, the staff were knowledgeable and kind and took great care of my fur baby my first visit. It wasn't busy there at all, I returned to pick up additional medications for him and again it was easy in an out, not terribly busy. They lost some starts only due to a particular tech that cared for him during his in patient stay yesterday to receive IV fluids and (I thought) tube feeding and anesthesia. HE DID NOT RECEIVE THE TUBE FEEDING OR ANESTHESIA. I discovered this on picking him up at closing time, he was also soiled with diarrhea that was already dried into his fur at time of pick up, I had called to check on him and was waiting at the clinic an hour before pickup and the diarrhea was only mentioned as she brought him out. The techs name is Andrea who was so neglectful, I was deeply concerned by her demeanor upon meeting her but didn't think much of it, she had just begun her shift and seemed more concerned with eating a yogurt and then going outside to take a break within an hour of her shift beginning than the care of my cat. She wasn't informed about his case when I had questions about his condition and care plan and didn't seem to much care about him aside from whether she had maybe seen him before and if she would recognize him. More importantly she was the tech I was communicating with regarding my cats care and was the one I told directly that I would like to go ahead with the feeding tube and anesthesia. I was charged and extra $575 for these things(returned in credit on his account when I realized this hadn't happened) she had said only "no one told me he was getting that" but I was the one who told her to her face i witnessed her passing this along to the receptionist who added the charges to the payment and then the tech, Andrea, immediately went outside to her car for a ten minute break. Maybe she forgot but that is unacceptable. I was very disappointed he didn't receive the feeding tube, and also very disappointed he was returned to me COVERED IN DIARRHEA he had clearly been sitting in for hours, I was also disappointed that even if they weren't going to clean it they couldn't have given me a heads up about that so I could buy pet shampoo or wipes before pick up given all the time I spent waiting at the vet and the calls to check on him there was plenty opportunity to inform me of this. Nevermind it is poor practice for a clinic to allow a cat to sit in their mess for hours this can cause infection and additional distress. As I understand it it is common practice for a vet to clean an animal that has made a mess in their care before returning them to their owner. I will be speaking with management about this particular vet tech, I had called to talk with them but was told they are traveling and will get back to me... otherwise the care was great and affordable from Lone Tree, however I am left feeling very concerned about the incompetence and general disregard from vet tech Andrea.

Five enthusiastic, tail-wagging, floppy-ear-saving stars for VEG San Ramon!…read more When things get hairy with your pets, and I'm not talking about the fur, I'm talking about those unexpected panic moments that send you racing to an emergency vet, you want expertise, compassion, and honesty. After our recent experience with VEG San Ramon, I can confidently say they exceeded every expectation. A few nights ago, my dog developed an aural hematoma on his ear. While a floppy ear might not be a big deal for some dogs, mine is a working dog, and preserving his physical condition is important for the job he does. Knowing we needed emergency care, I immediately tracked down Dr. Brittany, a veterinarian I had worked with before and trusted completely. There is a reason I sought her out. Dr. Brittany combines the bedside manner of an angel with the skill and confidence of an exceptional emergency veterinarian. She listens, truly listens, not just to the symptoms but to the owner and the individual needs of the dog. For those of us in the working dog world, finding a veterinarian who understands the unique challenges and safety considerations of these dogs is incredibly rare. One of the things I love about VEG is their open-concept hospital. We were able to stay with our dog, watch the procedure, monitor his condition, and actively participate in decisions. As a teaching hospital, Dr. Brittany asked if a student could perform the procedure under her supervision. Normally, I would have hesitated, but her confidence and willingness to remain involved every step of the way gave me complete peace of mind. The results were outstanding. At one point, I had concerns about making an additional adjustment during the procedure. Instead of dismissing them, the team had a collaborative discussion with me, and together we agreed on the best path forward. That level of partnership and respect is priceless. I also want to recognize the nursing staff. Every technician and team member was kind, professional, and welcoming. They treated both us and our dog with incredible care and compassion. The hospital was spotless, organized, and genuinely felt like a place where everyone worked together for the best outcome. And now, let's talk about everyone's favorite emergency-room topic: the bill. Emergency veterinary care is never cheap. If your dog hasn't figured out how to file insurance claims or start contributing to the household budget, you're paying for it yourself. That said, VEG was transparent, fair, and upfront about costs. They offered options, discussed treatment plans thoroughly, and made sure there were no surprises. As a working dog handler, Dr. Brittany will always be our first call in an emergency. But more importantly, this experience reinforced our trust in VEG as a whole. The care is collaborative, the communication is exceptional, and the focus is always on what's best for the patient. To Dr. Brittany, the students, the nurses, and the entire VEG San Ramon team: thank you. You didn't just treat a hematoma. You cared for a dog who means the world to his family, and that kindness, skill, and compassion will never be forgotten. 100% recommended for any emergency veterinary need.
