So!! Disclaimer-- at first, in 2023 (and on for a few monthsI) had a really on-again off-again…read moretouch and go experience with E 3 cleaners (they used to lose a sock buddy or not always do laundry my extremely perfectionistic way, and used to take days to get dry cleaning returned), but NOW ... they made such an impressive turnaround and are now my fav wash and fold laundry AND fav place to get alterations AND fav place to do dry cleaning!!! These positive changes started at least a few months ago (well, I started to notice in Fall 2024 anyway, so sometime before that) they have different wonderful key reliable new staff (like Philip!), which has brought wonderful communication now. I gave them another chance after I injured my leg last Fall 2024, and had to completely stop doing my own laundry for a few weeks (so I tried 82 E 3 Cleaners again, along with scouting other neighborhood spots). I realized that that it's now a way better value for me to have 82 E 3 do wash&fold on all my laundry (even though now it's January 2025 and my leg is healed) instead of saving only 6 or 8 dollars to go to a laundromat and waste a day doing it myself, going through the hassle of getting quarters, etc. Or paying double what 82 E 3 charges doing delivery/pick up locally. The customer service is truly praiseworthy now. For example, for laundry, I tell them exactly how I want it washed, how I want it dried, the amount of soap, etc and now I trust they are following it. And they are just so helpful for dry-cleaning (and MUCH faster return time now than back in 2023/early 2024)! Also, the altering/repairs are really good!! They are just so much better now in every way. I'm glad I hurt my leg, lol!-- as it led me to discover they are like a totally different business! I would definitely pay more now if they raised prices (I hope they do, it seems worrisomely too low?) and stick with 82 E3 Cleaners. It's an under-rated, very well-done business at this point. I am so pleased.

A disastrous experience…read more About 15 months ago he installed a video door system in our 4-family building, but it had chronic problems from the start and rarely worked right for long. We've now had no intercom or buzzer service for 3 weeks, since the exterior Acuvox unit failed. Douglas removed the unit and said he was requesting a warranty replacement, but he failed to keep 2 appointments and now has ghosted entirely--he doesn't respond to repeated text/email/phone queries from either us or from Acuvox (who we asked to intervene). Even prior to this, he had been absolutely infuriating with regard to responding to calls and texts or keeping appointments. The stuff he puts up about quality service and satisfaction is simply meaningless boasting. This is not a business-like business or run according to professional standards. We would not hire him again--probably no one should--and have asked Akuvox, the maker of our equipment to help us find another installer. Update: Here's what we don't see in Wayne's response--A genuine apology for leaving us in the lurch; a genuine explanation for ghosting both us and Acuvox; an acknowledgment that this was his problem and that he is determined to fix it immediately. Because, you know, customer satisfaction and all. Instead, he emails me separately and says he'll mail us the unit he has been sitting on for weeks, and that's it. I'll stand by my review--thoroughly unprofessional. Hire at your own risk.

What should have been a simple NVR replacement turned into a three-month ordeal filled with delays, cancellations, and a complete lack of accountability. Over the course of this project, there were three scheduled appointments--each one canceled or missed--with little to no notice. On top of that, I sent more than 10 follow-up emails just trying to get basic updates, most of which were either ignored or responded to with vague, non-committal answers. There seems to be a serious breakdown in communication and organization within this company. A straightforward job should not require this level of persistence from a customer. At no point did I feel like my time was respected or that my business was valued. If you're looking for reliability, responsiveness, or even basic professionalism, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This experience has been a complete waste of time and energy.

The reason I'm writing this one for Liox is because my bill for a single bag of laundry was $71 WITH the $10 dollar new customer discount. I clicked no additional options before checking out using the app, but when the bill arrived midday (they wait to weigh your clothing before billing) I discovered they had tacked on +3 dollars for bleach, +6 for an additional bag (I provided one already), and +8 dollars for a same day fee (this was not something the app is up front about). I called as soon as I saw what had happened, but when nobody picked up I sent an email. Attached is the reply and bill (minus the tip I gave!). I called the place to state my case verbally but was met with the same response. If you're going to go with Liox, DON'T use the app to order. Also, $2.39/lb is a lot of money to begin with...so there's that too. *EDIT* just got my clothing back and weighed it. They added almost 4lbs.
