I went in for a standard urine analysis for a new job. I went on a Friday to avoid the mid week rush of patients. I was greeted promptly by the front staff, was checked in a few minutes after and waited. They have clean water to drink and I waited for 15 minutes or so. When it was time for me to "go," Mr. Tim called my name. For the end of the day he was exceptionally warm and welcoming. He clearly explained the process and threw in a few punchlines that made me laugh. It lightened the mood and made my visit fun rather than just business. Tim was great. He made urgent care bearable which is hard to do. He was funny, kind, quick and professional. Nobody ever wants to go to urgent care but if I have to come back I hope I get Tim again. Mind you I waited 2 hours to only get seen for 15 or so minutes so that was pretty wild but finally being greeted by him made my bitterness for the wait time not feel so horrible. It honestly felt like everyone working there had checked out mentally. The lack of urgency and basic customer service was shocking. By the time someone finally acknowledged me, I was already frustrated beyond belief. If this is how they treat customers, I can't imagine how they stay in business. Physical and drug screen for a new job took 2 and a half hours -- of which only 20 minutes (max) were spent with clinical staff -- to pee in a cup and touch my toes. Absurd. Clinical staff is kind and friendly, but front desk staff is not. No smiles or pleasantries, and seem bothered to be there and interacting with visitors. Sets the tone for the visit, along with MSNBC cranked on the TV, other visitors listening to videos on their phone with the volume up, and the AC set to arctic blast. Bring headphones and a sweatshirt and get comfy, because you will be here for an hour, to start. Online forms are redundant and will take 30 minutes to complete, along with clipboard paperwork containing the same exact questions. Nonsensical. I don't understand why there isn't a more efficient process for visitors to check in -- like being able to fill out paperwork at home, to expedite the process and be seen upon arrival. Or let people know what position they are on the board, so they aren't left alone in an exam room for 45 minutes without a clue about the time frame. A rough estimate would be better than being told "the dr will be in soon". 45 minutes is not "soon". Better communication around timing would result in happier visitors. Concentra can do better as a company, but this specific location can do better with communication/managing timing expectations for visitors, and appointing less sullen staff at the front desk. read more

Don't come here if you actually are sick or hurt. We've been here over 3hrs now. It took an hour and forty five minutes just to be called back. An hour and fifteen minutes later and still waiting to take a flu and strep throat test. Meanwhile, in the waiting room everyone that was there before us got called so we thought we were next. Nope about 15 people who showed up after us were called back first. None of them looked sick or injured and they were all in and out in a couple minutes. I had knee surgery and spent about 45 hours with the physical therapy department and highly recommended this team. Taylor was an absolute pleasure to work with, she was attentive to my concerns and came up with an excellent game plan to get me back on my feet and climbing telephone poles again. She was extremely personable and a blast to chat with. Taylor was very professional and extremely knowledgeable in her craft. I never thought I would miss going to PT, but when it was completed I found myself missing the weekly interactions with this team. I felt as though I gained some friends in this office and always looked forward to going and chatting with everyone. I was treated with amazing care from the front desk with Lori, to getting ice and heat from Ari or Jay. Consistently horrible service. We are an employer and EVERY single time I call the Murrieta location, I am on hold for a minimum of 20 + minutes (and then typically get disconnected when being transferred) and have to start all over. With as large of a company as Concentra is, you would think that they would be properly staffed for the needs of the clients they obtain. Not only is it next to impossible to reach the office, each time we send an employee down for treatment, they are there for over two hours. HIRE ADDITIONAL STAFF! Perhaps their marketing group or management should read some of these reviews - they all seem to have commonality. Maybe a loss of customers will open their eyes! read more

Went here twice in the last couple weeks. The first time was bad but figured it would be easier to go back to the same place due to paperwork and all and shouldn't have. That's on me. Ha. First visit: I payed two co-pays for myself and child to both be seen. The first nurse said out loud he didn't know how to check oxygen levels, blood pressure or other items on a child.. not great. We were asked if wanted a covid test, I said sure. Then they told us they were out. Second visit: this was 1 week after the first visit. We were told our insurance isn't covered there.. it was the same insurance as a week before and nothing changed. After some time my child was seen and they said it was an infection and gave us a prescription and said our pharmacy would get in it 2 minutes. We showed up at our pharmacy (20 minutes later) and they did not receive it yet. I called this urgent care to make sure they sent it to the right place, they confirmed the address and said they would send it a second time. 10 minutes later I get a call from the urgent care saying they couldn't send the prescription cause they didn't have a pharmacy on file.. Cherry on top is we ended up having to go to the ER that evening and they said 100% doesn't have an infection and to not use the antibiotics. So 3 co-pays, 1 prescription, bunch of wasted time and multiple headaches later we were misdiagnosed anyways. read more

Lacking man power. The wait for a DOT recertification is $200+ dollars and a 2 1/2 hour wait. Unacceptable. I drove 7 miles north to Temecula Urgent Care, and was seen in 20 mins. Entire process ,the drive plus the paper work and physical was less than the mentioned wait at Concentra. Folks it was also cheaper. Don't waste your time. I really hope management reads this and makes positive changes. Manhunt reached out with the good ole AI generate message....due to hippa regulations we cannot discuss the specifics of this visit. This is an edited review. It's so easy to automatically give a one star review when you're tired and wait times seem ridiculous. After taking a step back and trying to get a better understanding of Concentra, I bumped up my review to three stars. It's understandable that wait times are going to be 4+ hours when this is in fact, an Urgent Care facility and you're just walking in without an appointment. But when I was called in for getting vitals, it was still a 45 minute wait just to see a doctor. That part didn't make sense to me. For those with appointments, it's reasonably quick. I was in and out of the office within 45 minutes. From checking in to checking out. At least for an 8 o'clock appointment. Not sure if late morning or afternoon appointments are just as quick. For my second visit (appointment), I had a nurse practitioner who was very thorough and attentive to detail. She had great bedside manners and a friendly personality. I highly recommend to make an appointment if possible. But of course if an unexpected situation happens, be prepared to wait. read more

We never got your paper work for the second time. So I waited 2 hours for nothing? She again says, I thought you left. I'm here!!! Then she says she can process me without it! No eye contact! No apology! Notice that all the women reviews are low and the men review are high!! These two are women haters!!! Meanwhile, the patient next to me is talking to her mom about how rude the two were to her too!! I'm a libra I love life!!! It's not ok to be treated like shit. Tim is an all star nurse, always smiling extremely kind. Everyone else needs to work on their bedside manner. Extremely disappointed in care provided or the lack there of. Awful wait time. Quoted 45 min and took 3 hrs to be seen. They apparently don't have the ability to do any diagnostic tests. First thing I notice is that I gave a urine sample and the MA dipped it and poured the specimen out right away without even checking with the provider if they would want a urine culture sent out..? Then finally seen by the "provider" and she first offered an OTC treatment without an exam or any diagnostic test. When I asked for a culture swab to confirm my diagnosis, they said they don't do that here and that I should go to an urgent care if I wanted something like that?! Went here for an occupational physical and was really worried after reading all of the horrible reviews. Such a great experience. The nurse who helped me took his time and was really kind. I have horrible and mostly collapsed veins for blood testing. He went out of his way to find a smaller needle, checked my arms and hands up and down before just stabbing me, and really cared. All other nurses and doctors were really nice. Yes it took some time but guess what, everything does. Be sincere and nice to the staff. No one wants to have to go to the doctor, especially urgent care, and no one wanted to have to take time out of their day for a work related visit. You reap what you sow. read more

Front desk is rude and looks like they all hate their job. Valerie needs to get her attitude checked out because she was not helpful. I went there to get a physical assessment done and she was so emotionless and was not clear what she needed from me when all she needed was my ID. She clearly told me "for a physical assessment it will be a longer wait, it's going to be 2 hours". So I said okay and filled out the register link. NO ONE told me I had to STAY THERE. Why would I wait 2 hours there to be called when I had other errands to do. So I come back 10 min before the 2 hours was up & I was told that my request has been voided. It was sometime around 1250 in the afternoon and she told me my visit has been voided at 1315. LITERALLY MORE THAN LESS THAN 2 HOURS. She told me I had to pay for TB?!? Like no, I walked out upset because I felt like I wasted my drive to them just to be told that I will not be seen. Madison Concentra, either replace you front desk receptionist, VALERIE, or get a new team at the front desk. This is ridiculous. Ive been here before and had no problems. I learned my lesson to not wait there for 3+ hrs, but never was I told that I can't leave the building! Get a sign or something. read more

It was definitely the strangest doctor's visit I've ever had. The physician/nurse practitioner denied my worker's comp claim but then told me I had a deformity in my chest and arthritis in one of my toes even though I hadn't gone in seeking treatment for either. Also, no doctor and no person has ever commented on me having a chest deformity, and I'm not experiencing any symptoms of arthritis in that toe (though, to be fair, it is curled more than the others). The physician/nurse practitioner's opinion about the cause of tingling and numbness in my fingers, the reason I went in for, was at odds with that of my primary care physician. This tingling and numbness surfaced after I received first-degree burns at work. My primary care physician thought it was nerve damage due to the burns and instructed me to go through worker's comp. The physician/nurse practitioner I saw here said it wasn't but didn't really explain much except to say there was no "trauma" at work that could have caused the tingling and numbness. Update: I've since seen my primary care physician several times and a neurology clinic. Both think it's work-related because there was nothing wrong with my blood work that would suggest a dietary deficiency. I think the nurse practitioner I saw at Concentra was either incompetent or dishonest. I wouldn't recommend Concentra for work injuries because, based on my experience, it seems they'll say it's not work-related if there's any chance they can. To avoid this, make sure you immediately designate your own primary care physician or another urgent care facility when you get hired. You have to do this before you get injured; you can't do it after. You definitely don't want to be stuck going through the appeals process with the state like I am. Just avoid Concentra. The wait was also too long. I arrived around 11:30 on a Monday and didn't get out until almost 2:00 On the good side, the receptionist was friendly and helpful as well the medical assistant who took my vitals. I would recommend Accelerated Urgent Care or Temecula Urgent Care. The first has always been a five-star experience for me. read more

She looks it over with a smug face and was so dismissive just now she goes "oh...well "....same day appointments are only taken after 330" and hands me back my paper. And I'm like "okay so I can't just schedule for something tomorrow? How's does this work?" and she said "no same day is before 330 come back tomorrow". She was so dismissive, unwelcoming, not warm at all and didn't really explain what I needed to do. Not going to this location again. Guess I'll have to go to San Diego. ***UPDATE - guess what? They don't even have a 330 rule the manager told me the lady at the front made it up!! - wow! I've also had terrible interactions with every person except for one Asian doctor and one male doctor.
