I came here a couple of times for drug screening employment. Both times were without an appointment and both times were either a very short wait time or none at all. I don't know what it's like to be seen here for an actual urgent medical situation, but it's never been crowded during the times of my visit. My husband went in because he hasn't been feeling well, 3 days with a fever, horrible cough. The doctor didn't bother to test him for Covid or anything just diagnosed him with a cold. I've been coming here for the past 5 years. Never much of a line and in and out pretty quick. Today was different. About 5-7 people in waiting room. I was asked if I had an appointment. I said no. He said I'll need to make an appointment. I said there's not many in the room what are you talking about? He said there's more going on behind the scenes then I know. This place has gone to shit. Isn't this emergency care, urgent care? I just had an emergency and you want me to make an appointment? This seems to have turned into a doctor's office. The next one I went to took me right away. Came on Christmas Eve and was told that they will close at 2:59. I drove like crazy to get my child here in time. I didn't know where the office was so I accidentally walked past it to the next office. As I walked back I heard the door lock. I knocked and knocked and finally someone told me that they wouldn't help me. Never mind that I was here at 2:59 before the 3pm hours listed. They don't care whatsoever. I wanted an Urgent care with X-Ray accomadations. I was having pain on the left stomach side of my stomach that turned out to be Diverticulitis. Lois was the PA on scene. Lois was very pleasant and knowledgeable but suggested I go to the ER for a CT scan because she did not have those capabilities on the X-Ray machine in her office. Lois was caring as was her staff. We were please and if need be, we would go back for medical services if we had to. I am glad Lois had the experience to tell me to go to the hospital which tells me, she has the experience of any doctor. Thank you Lois andt thank you to your staff. read more

This was the worst patient care I have ever experienced! I went in with an eye infection that had spread into my cheek needing antibiotics. They called them in to a closed pharmacy and when I let them know they stated "to bad the provider left " they refused to call an on call person since it was 515 . While I cried as a I was told I needed antibiotics and to start them tonight .. if the swelling increased to go to Er . The MA laughed as I walked away in tears . HORRIBLE ! Stay away from all A+ Urgent Cares. I went to the Kalmia location on a Saturday because I suspected I had bronchitis. I was assured that all I had was a cold. By Monday I was worse and called them. Explained the situation carefully. They said I had to comenin before they could prescribe any meds. (Underatood) Asked if they would waive the copay since this required 2 visits and they said no. I have gone to this Urgent Care for years, almost always due to lower respiratory infections I get every couple of years that a little medicinal (prescription) intervention knocks right out. Unfortunately, after attending a recent work convention (or perhaps my yoga class), I contracted COVID-19. On the 3rd day of my symptoms on 2/5/24, I couldn't breathe from my nose, which caused me concern. My husband called Temecula 24 Hour Urgent Care and told them I was having trouble breathing from my nose due to COVID-19 symptoms. Temecula 24 Hour U.C. told him I could come in with a mask. Since A Plus is much closer to my home, I thought I'd go to A Plus instead. BIG MISTAKE. I showed up at A Plus about 30 minutes before their scheduled closing at 8:00 PM. I had two masks on and kept my distance from the receptionist. I explained I had COVID-19 and was hoping for some assistance, hoping they would be able to prescribe something that would help me. Fortunately, there was no one in the waiting room so I thought it would be a quick visit. The visit was even quicker than I imagined as they swiftly sent me away, telling me to go to a hospital Emergency Room--that they couldn't help me. Despite the heavy rain in the darkness of night, I made my way instead to Temecula 24 Hour U.C., the place my husband had called originally. They were happy to assist me. The receptionists were polite, and even though they knew I had COVID-19 , the PA-C did a thorough examination, they administered their own COVID test and I was ultimately prescribed 2 medications that allowed me to breathe freely from my nose again before bedtime. The PA-C even made sure my prescription was sent to a pharmacy that was open late as she said I needed to start one particular medication that same night--she said it could not wait until the next day, as I was willing to do at that point. It really was an amazing experience, in stark contrast to my experience at A Plus. Next time I need urgent care, I'll make the drive down to Temecula and bypass A Plus, which really is about an F- at this point. read more

Saw Dr Carlos Ventura four months ago Very Good Exam and treatment recommendation. Now three months later saw Physician Assistant Dana and very pleased again.. Office was quiet I was the only patient at the time...Support staff busy laughing and flirting around in my opinion before I was taken back AND the med tech...checked my blood pressure in a record 4 seconds manually......four seconds...give me a break...seemed to lazy to weight me and just asked my weight The Physician Assistant Dana was so kind and took my blood pressure again at my request...and this was a full amount of correct time to get an accurate reading...Note support staff...in open area...laughing and goofing around is not professional appearance read more

If I could give them a negative star I would. I normally don't like to leave bad reviews because I a a firm believer in if you don't have nothing nice to say don't say it. However I feel that potential patients should be aware. I visited this Urgent Care back in December because my Son was hit it the Groin area and I had some concerns with testicular torsion. I immediately asked if they had the proper imaging equipment to diagnose the issue rather than going to the ER. The nurse or Paitent intake said they did. So naturally I paid my Copay and waited about 45 mins -1 hour to be seen & just to be told that they do not have the proper equipment to diagnose the potential issue. So I basically wasted my time and was unable to get the services I needed for my son and had to go to the ER. So on the way out I mentioned to them that I shouldn't have to pay for services as I was not served by them. I was was told to contact accounting to get ahold to address the issue and given a contact business card. So in a urgent matter to get to ER I left to ER and figured I would called to address the billing issue later. One day passes and luckily my Son was ok from his injury so I contacted the urgent Care and left a message. After serveral phone call attempts to get ahold of the proper person in accounting. I finally got a response to be told to send a letter to the main office with no response. After some time passed with no response I contacted my Credit Card company to dispute the chargers being services were not rendered. I naturally won the dispute based on the information submitted to the credit card company. So today and the reason why I left the review was because I got a letter from a collection company from this urgent cares erroneous Business process and lack of customer service. So beware of this practice as they don't seem to know how to treat, follow up and service their patient's. read more

I'll be honest- I avoided this place for a very long time because of the scary Yelp reviews. But I only had 2 choices that my insurance covered and this one was the only one open on a Saturday when I needed it. The front desk wasn't smiley but they were helpful. I LOVED the NP Christine Sullivan Ph.D! She is the exact type of provider I've been searching for since moving to CA. Soooo thrilled to make this connection. I got right in, was seen quickly, and my issue was resolved without needing to go back to the ER. What a relief! If the front desk had tried to be friendlier, it would be 5 stars for sure. I came in today because my son hadn't been feeling well. Dr trips are never fun for anyone especially a little one who wants to move around a lot. Todays visit was probably the best dr visit I've had as a parent! The staff was so nice and sweet, they made us feel very welcomed. UPDATE: I got my check in the mail today. Glad that's done. I updated my review by a star. I have to start this review by saying I really liked Dr. Kimes, who diagnosed my bronchitis and prescribed what I needed. He was pleasant and funny yet efficient, and he put me at ease. What drops this facility for me is the experience with the office and the attempts to follow up to get a refund for an overcharge, still not taken care of. A previous reviewer wrote about the office requiring a copay when none was required; he was unable to get with Billing and get a refund. I have had the same problem. They are in my network but overcharged me on my copay. Both my insurance company and I tried repeatedly to call different phone numbers and got a busy signal. I finally got through a day or two later, 6/21/19. Lisa told me Accounts Payable was out until the following week, but she would put a note on my file, the refund would be processed in 7-10 business days, and I'd get a call telling me the check was ready for pickup or mailing. Great! But nothing has happened. Yesterday, 7/16, tried to call and again, no joy, so today I dropped into the office and asked to speak to Billing. I was not allowed to. Instead, the Receptionist kept going back and forth between me and the person behind "the curtain." First I was told she would take my details and get back to me. I told her that already happened last month. Back she went to Billing. Then the Receptionist came out and said the office had to wait to be paid by the insurance company and then they would settle up. I told her, no, the insurance would not pay them because this was all out of pocket and there was nothing to wait for. Back she went to Billing. Finally the Receptionist came out and said the check had been mailed on 7/11 and I should receive it shortly. Nearly a week? What did they use, Pony Express from Antarctica? What about that phone call I was going to get? I am starting to think there's really no Billing office but instead a bowl in back where the Receptionist goes and draws out a slip of paper to find out what she should say. That, or fortune cookies, or one of those black 8-balls. I repeat, I liked the doctor a lot, but office management and procedures leave a lot to be desired. Completely negligent and arrogant is what this place is. I went in on August 5, 2021, after testing positive for Covid-19 and requesting PCR test for follow-up. I was refused any and all treatment, even after walking in prepared with research and support for a protocol that I had printed out for them to look at. It was a medical protocol from the FLCCC group that is treating Covid patients and saving lives. They would not even look at it, so I verbally requested the medications and was told that, "no, we don't have any treatment for Covid. Just think positive." This was after I explained I was high risk, with asthma, increased bmi, high blood pressure and a history of pneumonia. Thank god for Telehealth doctors who quickly prescribed Ivermectin, Budesonide, Doxycycline and Prednisone. Covid 19 IS treatable and this place will likely have blood on their hands for refusing to offer any treatment or support, whatsoever. If the medical staff here is this ignorant, then it's willful ignorance. We don't need doctors who shrug their shoulders (literally, that's what she did) and then told me a story about her own husband's experience with Covid and how he got NO TREATMENT and ended up in the hospital for weeks. This is disgusting because there IS treatment. Don't go to A Plus Urgent Care. You will not find Care. read more

I brought my friend here to get an x-Ray. The receptionist made me feel uncomfortable and rolled her eyes numerous times when I asked questions. She seemed genuinely perterbed with everything I said. After my friend was taken back to be seen, the woman who was attending her came out of the room and began pantomiming crying to the other staff. It was completely unprofessional to make fun of an injured patient. I was really surprised at the whole environment. read more

I got the nasty flu this season and it turned into bronchitis. I had gone to another urgent care and they didn't give me the right antibiotic. 5 days later I found myself getting worse. I went back to the other urgent care and they told me I needed to go to the emergency room to get a chest xray. I called A+ urgent care and they had an xray machine and I was so relieved because I really didn't want to go to the hospital. From the moment the Dr came in, I felt he did a thorough evaluation. Xray showed Bronular pnemonia. He gave me all the right medication and I'm finally starting to feel better. This urgent care is the BEST because they really take their time with each patient, and offer cutting edge technology. This Dr REALLY knows his stuff. I won't be going anywhere else in the future. Horrible! Absolutely horrible! I took my 3 year old in with a fever and complaining of ear pain. The wait was about an hour, and we were seen within 10 minutes of being called back. The medical assistant said she had a high fever (which I knew from taking it at home), but the nurse practitioner said it was only 99.3. Lauren, the nurse practitioner was very kind. No complaints about that. She diagnosed my daughter with an ear infection and stated she would call the prescription in to our pharmacy. That was around 4pm on Sunday 3/12. My husband went to the pharmacy at 6:30pm and they did not have anything for our daughter. They checked their entire database and nothing! As a mom, I am LIVID! My child is in pain and YOU stated you would call in the prescription. Unfortunately, when I called last night nobody was there because they closed at 5. Started calling at 8am exactly and at 9:12am they currently have their phones on their night response. I am done with this urgent care. I will gladly drive to Escondido next time to avoid this. I have set up an appt today to see my daughter's pediatrician. When it comes to my children I need someone efficient. read more

This place is terrible!!!!!! Checked in at 1:20, only 2 people ahead of us, took an hour before we were called to a room, another half hour before nurse practitioner (not a real doctor) comes in. Medical staff is rude, why the hell are you making everyone wait an hour and plus between calling patients back? Its not even busy. Dont come here! Save yourself the aggravation (which I should have done) and go to the emergency room at the hospital. Wish I could give 0 stars. Literarily sitting in the back laughing and joking while people including myself are sick waiting to be seen. They had a one of the ladies new born babies in the back playing with her the whole time not paying attention to anyone. Truly the worse experience I've ever dealt with in my 36 years on this earth. We arrive at this location before they open and the first to walk in once open. I sign in at the reception (with the receptionist right there) and waited 15 mins. before being acknowledged (my daughter and I did get to watch and listen to the staff talk about their personal problems for 15 mins.). Once I was acknowledged I presented my insurance and i.d. and then 5 mins later I was told they didnt accept Blue Shield because they weren't a part of my medical group (which seemed strange since every other urgent care I've been too has accepted my insurance). I have been experiencing pain in my ac-joint at the clavicle region for the past couple of months. After completing physical therapy, deep tissue massages and lots of rest, it was suggested to me to consider a cortisone injection in the joint to help my body heal itself. I was discouraged by my regular orthopedic doctor, as well as from a pain management facility in the area once I found out the soonest I could get in to see someone was over a month away. Next, I started calling Urgent Care facilities in the valley and A Plus Urgent Care was the only facility employing a doctor with the experience to do such a procedure (Dr. Kimes). Dr. Kimes was extremely knowledgeable about cortisone treatment and he took quite a bit of time discussing the injury, verifying the source of pain by putting me through range of motion protocols and then he provided the pros and cons of such a treatment. Dr. Kimes then took a step further by having his nurse x-ray my shoulder to confirm I didn't have a bone-spur before consulting with me again. Surprisingly, the joint injection was less painful than a regular vaccine shot to the arm. Since I was already there, I also had Dr. Kimes inject cortisone to the outside of my elbow where I've had pain from "golfers elbow" over the past several years. Both areas feel significantly better and I'm encouraged that this will finally heal the injuries. I couldn't be more pleased with Dr. Kimes and his professionalism, which obviously has trickled down to his staff at the facility. read more

DO NOT GO!! The Nurse Practitioner REFUSED TO TREAT & EVEN look at ME!! She read the 1st girl's notes & said "you have a lot of allergies & need STAT BLOODWORK cuz MRSA stays in your system." Actually, I had MRSA a year ago & I had 2 biopsies less than a month ago & NO MRSA! And, I talked to 2 Specialists (one who teaches in Budapest & is world-renowned & respected) and THEY ALL AGREED the CLINIC violated numerous Medical Board Oaths. 1.) Refusal to Treat Without Even Exam; 2.) Refusal to Treat Without Reasonable Diagnostic Testing; 3.) Medical Negligence; 4.) Discrimination; 5) Non-Professional Display by Medical Personnel; 6.) Comparison to Non-Related Third Party Without Justification; 7.) Incorrect Siting of Medical Information (Yes, I had to correct!); 8.) Refusal to Provide Personal Medical Record & Doctor Note Stating "Refusal of Treatment and Why" after Patient Request. NOT only will I be filing a Complaint with the Medical Board but also with the Better Business Bureau, as the Receptionist so happily offered that "they are a private Company." This PLACE needs to be SHUT DOWN ASAP! read more
