I went into carbon health urgent care today because I had cut my heel. The nurse practitioner who…read morestitched me up was very pleasant as were most everybody at the place. The problem I had with them was once I got home I noticed the dressing on my heel was not properly applied and I was concerned of possible infection. I wanted to go back into carbon health to get it redressed but I was told they close in 10 minutes at 6 PM. I guess they didn't want to hang out an extra 30 minutes and redress my wound. My wife and I had thought we found a good urgent care, but now it turns out we won't be going back. Personally, if it was my business, I would've stayed late and taken care of my customer the right way.

I am extremely hesitant going to urgent cares I'm not familiar with but I just moved 60 miles from my regular urgent care. Also, I'm not always able to do a ton of research on facility or have limited options due to insurance. I'm pretty sure somewhere between being launched into Space Mountain and navigating through "It's a small world" at Disney I picked up the Adenovirus. I saw a primary doctor at my health organization I work for when I was first feeling unwell and had a fever. Not much was done and all my testing came back negative (covid etc). This was on a Tuesday. I went to this urgent care the same week on a Friday. The front desk girls were really nice and professional. The waiting area is clean. They are cashless FYI (I paid with Apple Pay). On Friday I came right when they opened. First the MA(assumption on the title she took vitals and asked qualifying questions). She was brief and then turned on music before she left while my wife and I waited for the PA. I'm not a huge fan of the fact that music is being played. Especially when you feel miserable. Not sure if that is for patient privacy (if the walls are thin) but it was odd. Anyways, I went over my symptoms with the PA who was super nice. PA Stock. There wasn't really much done that visit. I know with a virus you just have to kind of ride it out. But it just kept getting worse. So I left and ended up coming back Sunday... that same week. This is where the magic happened. I was in so much pain I couldn't take it anymore. My throat, upper respiratory, sinuses, eyes were infected... and so my wife and I drove again to this urgent care. This time on the way there I booked my appointment online which is an awesome tool! When I got there I had a bit of a wait but it's urgent care and it wasn't like 2 hours and I had no choice. When I got back to the doctors office and waited for him that took a while. But A) I was in so much pain every minute felt like an hour and B) That Urgent Care got slammed and had limited providers. The xray tech did vitals and was super sweet and empathetic. Asked if I needed any water etc (that really goes a long way). Again goes the music haha my wife actually turned it off after a little bit. I would just recommend asking the patient before turning it on. I know it seems silly that it's just music but radio like music playing loudly when you feel horrible is just not the bees knees. Finally, at last the doctor arrives. I really didn't expect much to be honest because it's really hard to find a good doctor in general and especially at an urgent care I've had more bad experiences than good. Well this doctor is the reason I'm leaving this review. Dr Hamzeh was all about "how do we get you better" even with it being so busy I did not feel rushed or dismissed. He right then and there gave me treatment options that I took and prescribed me an antibiotic that I needed. I take several medications for some health issues I have so I get really worried about medication interactions esp having a past or doctors prescribing conflicting medications. He reassured me... more than once and I'm so sorry if I was annoying asking twice haha that I would be okay. And I was. I had a few questions after he left and he kindly came back to us when he had time to answer them. He was very confident in how he was treating me and actually took the time to help me. I started gradually feeling better the next day. It took a few more days to notice a bigger difference but I did! I was back to work by Wednesday. Today is Friday and although I still have the after effects of the virus and am not 100% I'm about 90% and that's all thanks to the Dr. Thank you to the staff and Dr Hamzeh on last Sunday. For someone who works in healthcare and someone who needs healthcare I know how frustrating it is to continue to pay copays with no help. He followed up with a chest x-ray as well as a ct scan resulting in other issues that I had to seek medical attention for. If not for him, the problems I had would never have been resolved. Dr. Zamora was kind and very patient as I made several calls with questions I had. I cannot thank him and the staff (Joe, Karina and Katie for their kindness. I am so grateful too all of them. The only positive I can honestly note is that the wait time was short and we were seen quickly. Unfortunately, the care we received after that was very concerning. My daughter was seen for a significant infection, and we followed the treatment plan exactly as prescribed. However, I have serious concerns that the antibiotic prescribed may not have been adequate for the severity of her condition, as her infection worsened in the following days. She ultimately had to be admitted to the hospital for several days for further treatment, where the hospital confirmed, she was given an improper dosage of antibiotics and also poor post-care instructions. As a parent, it was incredibly distressing to feel like things were not improving despite following medical instructions carefully. Communication and follow-up felt limited, and I left feeling uncertain about the level of attention given to her condition. I'm sharing this because I would strongly caution other families--especially those with children dealing with infections or urgent conditions--to seek a second opinion or consider other urgent care options. Based on our experience, I would not return.

However, after 2 weeks of…read morean ongoing issue, I figured I'd get in here way faster than trying to make an appointment with my PCP. I called ahead to make sure they accepted my insurance, which they do. I didn't make an appointment, but I asked if the wait was very long. The lady said it was fine at the moment. Off I went, and when I got in, there were 2 people in the lobby. I checked in, paid the co-pay, and signed in via the QR code at the front desk and filled out all the required paperwork as I waited. It took about 5 minutes to get through it all. I like that you can see how many people are ahead of you once you're done with the paperwork (see pic). I didn't wait long at all and was seen by a PA-C. He assessed my situation, prescribed an antibiotic, and instructed me to go to the ER (I know it's called the "ED" now, but I like ER better because.. you know, lol!!) if nothing changes in 2 days. We shall see... crossing my fingers I won't have to do that! The visit was quick, and the staff was professional and efficient. I was in and out in about 35 minutes, which is probably the fastest time I've ever spent at an urgent care clinic. I know it's hit or miss with the wait times at these places, but I hope that it's like this again if I do have to come back (hopefully not anytime soon)! Highly recommend!

Temecula Medical made several adjustments to their schedule to get me in quickly as I have cancer and other serious health concerns that require immediate and uninterrupted monitoring and care. I initially saw Tatiana and she could not have been more pleasant or patient as she listened intently to my long list of ailments. At the end of the appointment it was most impressive to see she had not missed or neglected to note even one of the many issues I'd spoken about, the ten plus referrals I needed, and a list of the medial items I need to maintain my relative health. I was listened to, all of my concerns were addressed and all referrals submitted before a day had passed. Truly above and beyond care for this extremely complicated and difficult cancer patient. I think the whole office had the best energy. I also found the waiting room spacious and relaxing with the abundant windows and light. Everyone had a smile on their faces and they let me stay well into their lunch period so I could take my time signing the many releases for information and finish what was needed. I can't imagine why they don't have five stars as I'd happily refer them to my best friends if asked. Thank you to Tatiana and the rest of the staff who welcomed me and gave me the time I needed to do what was critical for my healthcare. I look forward to continuing to work with them.
