    EXCEPTIONAL CARE - TRUE ANGELS ON THE 3RD & 4TH FLOORS…read more I cannot say enough incredible things about the care my grandmother received at Loma Linda Medical Center - Murrieta during an incredibly difficult time for our family. 3rd Floor - Day Shift | 2/2/26 A heartfelt thank you to Grace, RN and Nilo, PCA, who exemplify what compassionate, patient-centered care truly looks like. From the moment I arrived, it was clear my grandmother was in the hands of absolute professionals who genuinely care. Grace is the kind of nurse every hospital should strive to clone--knowledgeable, calm, attentive, compassionate, and incredibly thorough. She took the time to explain everything clearly, answered every question with patience, and treated my grandmother with dignity, warmth, and respect at all times. Her bedside manner is truly exceptional. Nilo was equally outstanding. She went above and beyond in every way--attentive, kind, gentle, and always one step ahead of what my grandmother needed. She treated her like family, not just a patient, and that meant everything to us. Her compassion, professionalism, and work ethic did not go unnoticed. Together, Grace and Nilo made an incredibly stressful hospital experience feel safe, human, and comforting. They were attentive without being rushed, professional without being cold, and compassionate in a way that simply can't be taught--it's who they are. 4th Floor | 2/6/26 I also want to recognize Kristina, RN and Ivy, PCA for the exceptional care they provided when my grandmother was transferred to the 4th floor. They were fully aware of the very difficult situation we had been going through, and from the moment they stepped in, they brought compassion, professionalism, and genuine kindness. Kristina was attentive, communicative, and reassuring--ensuring my grandmother's needs were addressed promptly and explaining everything clearly, which meant the world to our family during such a stressful time. Ivy was just as amazing--always gentle, patient, and attentive, treating my grandmother with dignity and care at every interaction. In the middle of what has honestly been a nightmare, these four caregivers were a bright light. Their empathy, dedication, and humanity did not go unnoticed. If leadership reads this, please know that Grace, Nilo, Kristina, and Ivy are true assets to your hospital and deserve recognition. Because of them, my grandmother received not just medical care, but genuine kindness, patience, and respect--and that makes all the difference. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Loma Linda Hospital trades heavily on its legacy and branding, but once you move past the façade, what you encounter is a system startlingly out of step with modern medical standards. The protocols feel outdated, the equipment feels dated, and the bedside manner if one can even call it that often borders on indifferent. Many other reviewers have noted the same pattern: long stretches of neglect, staff who seem inconvenienced by the presence of patients, and a pervasive sense that efficiency and compassion are optional add-ons rather than core values. My experience aligned with those concerns far too closely. One of the most telling examples is their approach to patient comfort. In 2026, most reputable hospitals use variable-pressure, inflatable beds designed to prevent pressure sores and reduce pain. Loma Linda, astonishingly, does not. Instead, they wedge rigid, diamond-shaped foam blocks under patients' backs devices that feel more like medieval orthopedic experiments than modern medical supports. Numerous reviewers have complained about this exact issue, and it's not hard to understand why. It's painful, unnecessary, and emblematic of a facility that has not kept pace with basic patient-care standards. What's worse is the attitude that accompanies it. Patients are often treated as burdens rather than human beings in distress. Several reviewers describe being ignored for hours, spoken to curtly, or dismissed outright when expressing discomfort. That was my experience as well: a sense that the staff had grown numb to suffering, or simply stopped caring about it. Loma Linda's reputation may rest on decades of history and a veneer of moral authority, but reputation cannot substitute for empathy, modern equipment, or competent patient-centered care. Eventually, every one of us will face a moment of vulnerability in a hospital bed. One can only hope that by then, the people running this institution will have rediscovered the basic humanity that seems to have slipped through the cracks.
