Dr. Phan and his entire team are absolute angels. Every single person we've encountered in this office has been kind, patient, and genuinely caring. We started bringing our firstborn in before she turned one, and from the very beginning, we were so thankful to have found this practice. Dr. Phan is thorough, kind, and direct. He makes both me and my husband laugh, and he always makes us feel heard and validated. He listens attentively to our concerns, provides sound, evidence-based advice, and truly demonstrates compassion and care with every visit. I just had our second baby on May 15. I was able to get an appointment scheduled the very next day (a Friday) for the following Monday morning. At that visit, we learned that our baby had lost 12% of her birth weight. This exact thing happened with our first, and our old pediatrician handled it terribly--immediately mentioning "failure to thrive" and making us feel panicked and inadequate. So this time, as Dr. Phan was gently walking me through the next steps, I started crying. But instead of jumping straight to suggesting formula, he encouraged me to take care of myself first and to pump to see what my output was. To my surprise, I was producing plenty of milk. That encouragement lit a fire in me--and by that Friday, our baby girl was already back to her birth weight. I am endlessly grateful for Dr. Phan. He was encouraging, compassionate, and honest throughout the process. Most importantly, he reassured me that he wasn't concerned about our baby's health, which gave me an incredible sense of peace. His calm confidence was the complete opposite of the fear and guilt we were met with from our previous pediatrician. Nurse Practitioner Ms. Shayla is also absolutely lovely--and our toddler adores her. For a while, our daughter was terrified of doctor visits, but Ms. Shayla completely changed that. She made her feel safe and comfortable, to the point where our daughter now chats her ear off the moment she walks in the room. Ms. Shayla has been a true gift in building trust and warmth around medical care for our little one. The front office and nursing staff are incredible as well. They are helpful, kind, patient, and consistently accommodating--especially when something urgent comes up. We always feel supported, never dismissed or rushed. Honestly, we never want to leave this area solely because of this practice. If we ever move, we're already prepared to make the drive back just to keep Dr. Phan and his team in our lives. After dedicating 6 years to my children's original pediatrician, it was time to find a new pediatrics closer to our new home. I came across Dr. Phan on Yelp and was sold by the positive reviews. From the moment I called to schedule an appointment for all my children, the staff was extremely helpful and guided me through the process as a new patient. As you enter the facility, you're immediately greeted by staff and welcomed to a clean lobby area. My kids love the giant building blocks in the waiting room. Dr. Phan was amazing, as well as the nurse practitioner. Majority of the communication can be done via an app. Which has come in handy during a recent medical scare for my son. 5 stars just isn't a high enough rating for Dr. Phan and his team at Lake Elsinore Pediatrics. They are hands down the best medical staff I have ever dealt with--to the point where I wish Dr. Phan were my primary care provider, not just my son's! My husband and I are first time parents and knowing that our son is in great hands every time we visit the Lake Elsinore Pediatric office, makes us feel 1000 times better. We know that when our son is sick, Dr. Phan and his team are going to go above and beyond to make sure we are seen immediately and that our son is taken care of to the absolute best of their ability. Getting established as a patient was very easy. Prior to my son's birth, I just emailed their office and they were extremely quick to respond and get me set up with an appointment within one week of my son's delivery. Our first impression of Dr. Phan was, "Wow...we hit the jackpot for pediatricians!" He made us feel so comfortable as first time parents and answered any and all questions we had. He is genuine and very funny--he definitely has a great sense of humor which eases our nerves! He performed our son's circumcision--something I was absolutely terrified about--and Dr. Phan made it such an easy, quick, and (almost) painless process for our little dude. Our son is now 4 months old and any time we have a scare (cough, congestion, constipation, colic)--his team members always respond to us so quickly and make sure we're able to get in within 24 hours. For example, this past week we saw what looked like two red pimples on our son's face that had popped up out of no where. The news has been talking about an outbreak of measles, so we immediately started to panic. We called Lake Elsinore Pediatrics to make an appointment, but because it was after hours, I had to leave a voicemail explaining our concern and requesting a call back so I could jump on their next available appointment. Not even 5 minutes had passed before I got a call back--and it was Dr. Phan, himself. I explained what I thought was going on and he quickly dismissed the measles and provided several other explanations for what could be going on. We were so relieved! Not only did he ease our concerns, but said if we still wanted our son to be seen, to call them back the next morning and he would get our son in for an appointment. How amazing is that!? Last week, I also called my primary care provider trying to schedule an appointment for a severe cough/cold--they told me I couldn't get in until next month! The quality of healthcare that Lake Elsinore Pediatrics provides is absolutely PHENOMENAL--and rare in this day and age! Dr. Phan is a blessing. He is by far the best doctor in general I have encountered in my life. We are so happy he is available to take care of our son. Dr Phan is the best doctor in the industry! I have yet to come across a doctor with his expertise, empathy, humor and supportive staff. His front staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating and I love that his wife is part of his team as well! We first saw him when he was at Tarin Medical and we were sad when we heard he was leaving. But we were ecstatic when we found out he was opening up his own practice. It was a no brainer for us to follow him from Corona. The drive isn't bad, we make the most of our "mini road trip." If we're lucky our boys nap on the way there. He always gives us the time to ask all of our questions and not make us feel rushed or dumb. He knows when to be serious and when to crack a joke. He gives good medical and even life advice. You can tell he genuinely cares for his patients. When I struggled with latching with both my boys he didn't just tell me to see a lactation consultant. He took initiative to call her and let her know I would be coming down and made sure to keep in contact with us. They both worked together to make sure the time worked with follow up appointments and lactation appointments. He also gave my husband and I great advice when we found out we were pregnant with our second son. He will personally follow up with you and make sure your questions and concerns are addressed. Dr. Phan is your bff pediatrician. He's so down to earth, easy to talk to, and he cares about your little one so much. Not only is he funny and super chill, but he always makes us feel that we can come to him anytime our daughter needs help or we have questions. He's always been available to us, even after hours via text. He's different than other pediatricians. We found out that Brooke was severely allergic to eggs after introducing them to her for the first time and her having a horrible reaction. She was crying, red, covered in hives, and had GI upset all at the same time. They immediately brought us in. They could have easily sent us to emergency but he took us in right then and there to help on one of their short days where they were nearing closing time. He stayed with us for hours trying to make sure we got everything she needed. He even personally made calls trying to track down the right epi pen, and offered to run to the pharmacy to get it for her. He stayed after they closed to make sure she was okay to go home. I started going to Dr Phan with my first baby almost 3 years ago, when he was still in Corona. I had heard so many wonderful things about him and all of them were true. When I heard he moved 20 minutes south to Lake Elsinore I was so sad but decided the drive was worth it. Dr Phan is seriously the best.
