This is definitely the best donut place in Muncie. You can't go wrong with any of their baked goods. Their coffee is good too

Stopped in around 11am and they had a lot of options. However, some of the staff was rude and I felt very rushed. Every 20 seconds someone was asking to take my order and I was clearly not ready. Would also like it better if they labeled the donuts - this would have helped me know what to order quicker so I wasn't getting hounded constantly. read more

Best donuts ever! The chocolate icing is the old fashioned kind (not shiny) and they lather it on generously. Bread, popcorn, dipped pretzels, candy, pie, cakes...I was impressed by how big this bakery is! They have so many different donuts you'll have a hard time picking just a few so ask for the large box and fill it up. If you happen to be here in the Fall, be sure to try the pumpkin donuts. read more

Concannon's Bakery Cafe - Cafes Near Me - Muncie, Indiana

Sort of feels like they're jacks of all trades, and masters of...something that I've never found there yet? Big, heavy midwestern bakery. Artificial flavors and colors. Looks sweet, smells sweet. But nothing melts my heart. read more

Well first off I have to say, I have high expectations for donuts. I grew up eating Longs homemade donuts! So-- I always compare everything to them. I have now stopped for donuts and treats twice while in town. First time I enjoyed my stick donut with no filling and chocolate icing, an apple fritter and a danish. The danish was on the dry side, not sweet like you'd hope for. I saved the fritter for another day- and well that was a mistake. It was dry and had no flavor on day 2. Yesterday I popped up for another whirl since I was craving a donut. 2 chocolate sticks no filling. I ate 1 and was not thrilled that it was still doughy in spots. This isn't a good taste for me. I ended up licking all of the yummy icing off the 2nd one and tossing the stick. So a complete waste of money. I will say the pretzel stick with chocolate and mini m&ms were good, but Goods candy in Anderson has way better taste. Nonetheless, I wouldn't go out of my way to stop here again. It might be hit and miss on what's good as far as donuts. Many other treats in store. read more

Everything from the moment you walk in is amazing! Beautifully displayed organized and sooooo much to choose from!!! My kids eyes light up when we go to concannons it's a wonderful treat for our family and a part of our mornings together waking up for a fun trip to concanannons! read more

Just a great bakery, delicious cakes, candies and donuts. Miss the deli for Chicken salad, sad to see it's no longer in operation.

To addictive! The doughnuts, fritters, and other pastries are wonderful. They make good fudge and flavored popcorn. I don't care for the cakes though. I personally do not like that much icing. But it's a personal choice. read more

You walk in and it smells like coffee, sugar, and vanilla. Pretty sure that's what heaven smells like.

I stopped into Concannon's as I was leaving Muncie. I was in the mood for coffee as usual and a local baked good. It's a nice shop. Staff is very friendly and were enjoyable talk to on what felt like a slow morning for them. The coffee was good and I got both a danish and a donut (not surprisingly I had to stop at a bathroom about an hour outside of Muncie on my drive) and they were good. The only downfall is that I was hoping to relax a bit and do some work while at Concannon's, but they have no WiFi. The setup is more of a store and bakery than it is a cafe. While they have chairs and tables, it's not exactly a great environment even to sit down, eat, and have a conversation and read. That's something I was hoping for with the experience and that just isn't there. Otherwise, it's a very good spot. Also, Concannon's is just blocks away from a place called Bad Boys Bail Bonds. So, this is a good place to come to the morning after you have to pick up your friend from the nearby jail. read more

amazing donuts, good service and the establishment was very clean. this is definitely the place if you want amazing donuts

This is a weekly routine for us. Great baked goods and donuts and good food in their deli too. I love their standard non flavored coffees. I'm just not a flavored coffee person so I can't speak there. Excellent local bakery. read more

There hours are not convenient at all. Random days you go and they have closed early.

Jewel of Muncie. I love the chicken salad, popcorn, flavored coffees and, of course, the donuts, pastries, candies and cakes. Custom baskets to order to take home to family are perfectly created. The people here are so helpful and friendly. read more

Sometimes I get this for breakfast and when I do I know it's going to be a good day their donuts taste really good and it's also some pretty quick service would definitely recooked trying read more

The staff were so kind, and the donuts are so good! Only reason I'm giving this a 4 star instead of 5, would be because I've only been once and haven't tried everything yet. But so far, would definitely recommend! read more

Awesome donuts and I can't imagine anyone could argue!!! I absolutely love their Bavarian creme filled with chocolate icing. And their blueberry coffee cake / Danish is just wonderful. Coffee isn't as good as I had hoped...so only 4 stars instead of 5. read more

Wow just wow. This bakery is one of my favorites, probably my Indiana favorite hands down. Cream filled anything here is amazing. Must try! Muncie has a gemstone in this place! read more

Cakes and bakery good excellent. Sandwiches average, slightly over priced. Service in the cafeteria area average.

I know most love Concannons for their baked goods, and while their signature cake is one of my favorites, my absolute favorite is their Chocolate Raspberry coffee! Better than any other coffee brand I have ever tried! read more

The only place worth getting baked goods in Muncie. I miss their location across the street from Muncie Central, being a Bearcat swimmer myself. We would walk there during lunch sometimes if we could sneak out. There is nothing like a classic glazed donut from Concannon's. For a quick morning pit stop, it is the perfect place to grab a treat & brew for the road. read more

I usually reserve a 5 for the best of the best. There may be better bakeries, but this is amongst the best I've been to. The only minor knock I have is customer service. There is an expectation that you will know what you want when you get to the counter. Never mind the counter is 60 feet of doughnuts and danish, you are expected to know if you want a box or a bag, how many, etc. No time for uncertainty. A bit like New York. Sometimes the staff comes across a bit indifferent, like "this might be special for you, but I've handed out 40 dozen this morning already". But these are minor issues when viewed with the quality of the product. Most excellent. Go - indulge! read more

Our favorite place to go when in Muncie! Best salads and sandwiches and who can beat the free cheesecake Friday's! It's always the place we can go that we know we are going to get fresh food and great service!! Highly recommend!! read more

First timer this past weekend . Hands down the best ! The Carmel covered long John with bacon on top was a huge hit at home .

There are several famous donut establishments throughout the US where their claim to fame are over-the-top donuts....all pomp, no substance. Concannon's is not that place. They don't hide behind ridiculous toppings or ingredients, they do the simple things perfect. Yes, perfect. read more

I had the chicken salad croissant with the loaded potato soup. The croissant was overflowing with a cranberry chicken salad, very good tasting. The Loaded potato soup was some of the best potato soup I've ever had (Don't tell my mother-in-law). All of the desserts looked amazing and it was hard to decide which to get. We went with something we've never had, the puff pastry. It wasn't as I expected, more solid than I thought and very sweet icing on the inside and outside. It wasn't horrible by any means, but I will likely try something more decadent next time. read more

Good donuts good donuts good service and good food and great people working for the one in MUNCIE Indian

I'm a new Muncie-ite! In my hometown there was a family owned bakery with the most delicious baked goods that I thought I'd lost by moving away... but Concannons restores my love of donuts. They make a lot more items but their beautiful, delicious, variety of donuts is awesome! The biggest problem you'll have in choosing which one you want today! Also they have a delicious deli attached with wonderful sandwiches. You have to come at least once to find the most delectable treasures ever!! YUM!!! read more

Best Maple bacon donut I have ever had ! Fresh and tasty ! Service is amazing! Support local small businesses!

This is a family favorite not just for our family who uses concannons for every occasion but for all family's. A classic favorite

My wife is from Muncie so I've had Concannon's a few different times. They're some of the best donuts I've ever had and I would definitely say it's the place to go for donuts in Muncie! read more

truly amazing. the coffee cakes are my favorite but the doughnuts are phenomenal too. anything u can get here will be good

If you're from the mid-west, OK, I get it. You don't know any better. However, being from NY, I have tasted far, far better better than this. Like the donuts, all their breads taste the same. Rye taste like their white which taste like their wheat and so on. Also, I find no difference between their donuts and Payless, Target, Walmart, etc. Payless has better artisan breads. Unfortunately, there is no competition so this is as good as it gets, folks. read more

If you want to find some of the best donuts in Indiana probably in the entire United States head here. It's cheap but they got some of the best donuts you'll ever have. I came all the way from Tennessee and hearing about this place it's worth the drive. If I could give a place more stars than 5 this would be the place. read more

Thought I would try this local business again after being fed up with their price gouging over holidays. Cashier was totally indifferent to me. Had to ask what I was purchasing. Returned my change with any acknowledgment. She was too busy talking to another coworker about non work related issues. Obviously this business has too many customers and doesn't need any more. I would suggest you find somewhere else to spend your hard earned money. Obviously these flakes don't care about your dough. read more

Not open Monday's!! Very disappointing seeing how it's already Monday and if you're like me I'd like to get some good breakfast on the way to work to start the week off right, when I drive by on Monday's I can't tell you how many cars you'll see circling the parking lot because they see their closed. Don't get me wrong their bakery good are awesome and worth the price. read more
