Mr Bassem is a local, very hard working, friendly & honest man who has a gift with gadgets. Today was the 4th time in 2+ years I've visited Computers Corner (2 different laptops & once I brought family in for a quote) and although the sign said he closed at 2 (and he joked that he was hungry) he was able to help a couple before me along with a lady who finally came back for her phone while he was diagnosing my problem. When I say honest, this lady didn't even leave a name when she brought her phone to have it's screen fixed and by the sounds of it she had left her phone for at least 2 weeks but Mr Bassem remembered her and had her phone ready for her! He also offered her advice on a broken tv screen & reminded me to by an external drive to backup my important documents & photos. I definitely recommend bringing your computer issues in to be assessed by Computers Corner and IF something should happen to my iphone I will pay Mr Bassem another visit based on the happy phone customers I've met at the shop. iPhone glass was cracked. Water damage to the phone prevented it from being repaired. Bassam was very fast in evaluating the problems with the phone and very fair and helpful about how to proceed to get the information off the phone. I will go back again for any repair to electronics. I had my macbook pro repaired because it was slowing down and finally did not boot up. I brought it to this shop and he determined it was a bad hard drive. He gave me a fair and reasonable quote to replace my hard drive with a 1TB hard drive. He had to order this and he hard drive came in he folllowing day. He had a hard time tryig to retrieve he data drom the hadd drice so he just did a clean install. All his work only took a day from when he got the hard drive to full intallation. read more

My laptop's screen stopped lighting up and its battery would not charge. I finally took it to Computers Corner about two months ago. The owner was friendly, and suggested replacing the battery to fix both issues. He ordered the battery, received it a few days later, and installed it that same day and I was able to pick it up that evening. My laptop charges and I am able to adjust its brightness, and have had no issues since. I would return here again for future issues. read more

Came in this afternoon. Owner was busy fixing another computer of a costumer ahead of me. Didn't even bother to look up. So I basically stood a few feet away from him for about 4 minutes and when another customer came in, he immediately talked to that customer and when they were done, went back to fixing the computer of the customer who was ahead of me. At that point, I was kind of upset because he didn't even acknowledge that I was in his shop and took care of a customer who came in AFTER me. As I was leaving, he finally looked up and asked me if he could help me, at that point, I had enough and just left. Shit! I took computer home and found my graphics card missing. My fan has also been replaced. It wasnt this noisy. BEWARE.....I'm shocked that this thing happen to me...!!???? This is BS. After writing this I'm filing a complaint to Better Business Bureau. read more

Baseem has fixed 2 computer problems for me. The first one was my laptop. He fixed it in one day and charged me only a nominal fee. The second one was my imac. The video card failed. He told me it might be the next week before it was done but in fact it was only 2 days. When I came back he told me he had good news, Apple had supplied the video card for free (even though it was past the warranty). Again only a nominal fee to replace it. I always feel that Baseem is genuinely concerned about how much I have to pay and that I am without a computer. Also he is very knowledgeable about computers and is an authorized Apple Service provider. Highly recommended. Easy parking, fast service. read more

Laptop has been broken for a year so I went to a Best Buy nearby but they wouldn't give me a price to fix it & said it would be about $300 to even look at it. They tried to sell me a brand new one which I didn't need. Found this shop and Bassem looked at it for free and fixed my crappy laptop for a much fairer price. This gentleman works magic. He is so nice and does his absolute VERY BEST to try and try and try to fix computer problems. I thought I was sunk and would have to buy a new computer and I hated the thought as I love my computer. We couldn't figure out what was wrong but he worked and worked until it was good to go!!! I have my computer back, works GREAT, no more problems and I"m so thrilled I cannot begin to tell you. I highly recommend him to work on any electronics. I came here for two reasons. 1) it was close to my home vs. the nearest Apple Store which is in San Francisco or walnut creek. 2) it had a bunch of good reviews on yelp while best buy across the street had nothing but bad reviews. So this seemed like the logical choice. NOT! The store is a complete disaster computer dumping ground and absolutely unappealing to see when you walk in. This should have been the red flag but I chose to ignore it because of the good reviews. Some random chick walked in plopped herself on down on the customer side at a makeshift desk/table plugged in her cell phone to charge and sat there silently crying. The owner sat across from her at the table and never acknowledged her or even looked at her. It was weird to say the least. Another random chick walks in and asks to use his microwave and joked about it would cost her a quarter. He proceeded to take my info and print a work order. He said it would be fine first thing the next morning. I came back late the next afternoon and he said the screen he replaced was faulty and he had another ordered for the next day. A phone call would have been appreciated so that I didn't make the trek out there for nothing. My husband picks up my iPad the next day. It seems ok to him. I get home and try it and the button on top to lock it doesn't work. Now I'm a little irritated because I have to go back down the the store yet again. I show him the issue and he looks at me with this blank stare and proceeds to push the damn button like a hundred times. I'm looking at him in disbelief and say to the guy, pushing it a bunch isn't going to fix it. He seems dumbfounded and says it will be another 5 days before he can re-fix what wasn't even broken to begin with. I went in for a cracked screen and came out with a semi functioning ipad. The only good thing was he didn't argue with me when I said he had no clue how to fix it and that I would prefer a refund so I could take it elsewhere. I told him the screen was replaced so I was not so horrible to demand all my money back, but maybe I should have. He gave me $80. I took it to a reputable shop and had to pay an additional $140 to once again replace the screen because the screen he used was a cheap knock off after market screen and not fully compatible with apple products and that was why it was apparently not working. So he was charging me full price and using sub par parts and not genuine Apple parts. He had so many good reviews for computers but he has no clue about iPads and therefor should not pretend he knows how to fix them. Consumer beware! read more

I wouldn't have to write this review had he been honest in the first place. He let my computer sit there for days, never calling me and "shooing" me out of the store each time I asked for an update. Once I stayed in the store and pressured him to tell me what he has been doing with my computer; he hooked it up and claimed to have retrieve my data which turned out to be garbage icons and videos that weren't even formatted to be played. My external has 38G to compare to the 467 MB he gave me. He claimed that the hard drive needed to be replaced (without telling me why) and was even going to charge me 100$ for a boot disk I can make for free through the actual Microsoft website. When I asked for my computer back, he accused me of stealing my own data (the garbage he claimed to retrieve for me) and running off without paying. He never diagnosed the problem. My hard drive needs to be sent to a lab for data retrieval so no, I didn't "steal" anything. I am prepared to go to court if he wishes. He should stick to iPhones because clearly that's all he knows how to repair. Very disappointed in this "professional" because I was referred to him. My experience with Computers Corner was wonderful. I had spilled tea on my MacBook Air and was unable to turn the computer on, so I rushed into their office with it hoping for the best. Bassem immediately asked what happened when I walked in, even though he was helping another customer, and proceeded to unscrew the back and get it set up to dry before he helped the person in front of me. I immediately felt I was in good hands. Watching him work felt like watching a surgeon, very methodical and careful. He was able to get it to turn on again, and it seems to be running fine so far, except for a high fan. To address the fan, he helped me download a program that allows you to adjust the fan's speed, and it seemed to do the job. He was also very helpful in suggesting I get an external hard drive to back everything up, in case something happens down the line. After spending some time counseling me he gave me a very fair price. I will definitely come back with any technological emergencies in the future! Support this business! read more
