Great Performance, Solid Build, and Smooth Buying Experience…read more I recently purchased a CyberPowerPC desktop from Best Buy in Lee's Summit, and overall I'm very impressed with the experience and the quality of the system. The PC was well-packaged, cleanly built, and worked perfectly right out of the box with no setup issues. Performance has been excellent for both gaming and everyday use. Temps are solid, airflow is good, and the components were exactly as advertised. The system feels well-optimized and stable even under heavier loads, which says a lot about the assembly and quality control. I also appreciate that CyberPowerPC uses name-brand parts rather than generic components, which gives me confidence in long-term reliability and upgrade potential. For a prebuilt, the value is very competitive compared to building myself. Overall, this was a smooth purchase and a great PC. I'd confidently recommend CyberPowerPC to anyone looking for a powerful, ready-to-go system without the hassle of building from scratch.

Norton is very sneaky in this regard. Good product, lousy treatment of customers. Will never buy Norton product again.

While there are places on the internet one can get quality systems from, I'm a hands on person so I like to go in, check out computers and talk to people while customizing. Moreover, I like to walk around and Micro Center appeals to my inner nerd. So, what does Microcenter offer, well lots of computers, accessories and everything an aspiring nerd needs to enter the digital world in style. If you're a graphical artist, they have drawing tables and stylist, musically inclined they have adapters to cover that too along with software but I encourage research or talking to a sales rep before buying. How about that keyboard that fits those tired hands? I see a dozen options before we even get into the backlit keyboards. Mice with over 20 buttons for those hardcore gamers will also tempt you. How about a laptop for computing on the go? Well that "buying best" place can only dream of as many options. As for me, while I've built my computer before I decided to let MicroCenter take care of it. The installation cost was low and I was able to build my "super computer" for cheap, a warranty and it was done within three days. What was a lot of fun is the saleman and I talked for about 45 minutes about World of Warcraft b/c he's a player as well. Although he did try and sell me a monitor however I have that covered. I did browse the TV section out of curiosity and noticed their prices and inventory are competitive with other stores as well. I'll admit, I love this place and it's my first option when I need a computer. I like talking to people and discussing options rather than grabbing it off a website. Micro Center has an informed sales staff, a lot of inventory and competitive prices for everything you may need, including phones! My suggestion is stop on by, you won't regret it but be guarded you might buy more than you thought! Be strong Daniel-son!

On a MOM mission to get a replacement phone to since one was stolen. To have this happen for iPhone…read moreuser is so complex and complicated but it's a process that's possible. Eric was extremely helpful, informative and patient. He was able to settle my nerves and get me through the entire process. I'm very grateful for the 14-day return policy as well. The only process that is ridiculously lengthy is how long claims take to get you a replacement.

I went to the Apple Store at the plaza today for a repair of the back of my iPhone 17. The back of…read morethe phone had shattered. It is the day after Christmas so I already understood that there may be longer than normal wait times and I was fully prepared for that. I also didn't make an appointment online, so again I was understanding of the possible lengthy wait. When I got there, I showed the employee that checked me in the back of the phone and he saw it was clearly shattered. He told me the next available appointment with the technician to repair the phone is at 4:30 pm. It was 2:45 pm at that time. I decided to wait. I walked around the plaza until around 4:00 pm and then checked back in. Around 5:15 pm, the technician came over to look at the phone. He looked at my phone for about 5 minutes and then checked his schedule and said they don't have any availability today to repair my phone. My frustration is the fact that I thought that the initial appointment I made for 4:30 pm was for the technician to repair the phone. I did not know that the "greeter" puts you on one list and then the technician puts you on another. I did not know that the employees don't communicate when the appointment is made. So I waited nearly 3 hours for the technician to look at the phone for 5 minutes and then say he did not have time to repair it. I asked to speak with a manager just to share that it would be great if the greeter could've mentioned their process before I waited 3 hours. I was understanding the impression that the appointment at 4:30 would be for the technician to fix the phone, not for the technician to check his schedule and tell me if there was time. Had I known that the initial appointment would mean that I will also get on another list to wait and possibly not be seen at all, I would've made a different decision. I would've liked the opportunity to make an informed decision. I explained this to the "team lead," Brian. He was immediately very dismissive. He even at one point asked me "Well, what do you want me to do?" I've spent a ton of money with Apple and at this specific location. I was hoping Brian would be more understanding and acknowledge how their process could be frustrating. Instead, he was dismissive from the start before I could even explain to him the problem and condescending as I explained my concern and frustration. Again, I understand that the holiday season is a busy time and I was fully prepared to wait. I just didn't know that their process involved being on two separate lists and that there was a possibility I wouldn't be helped at all. I thought that when I got on the first list, that was my appointment to actually get the help I needed and get the phone fixed. I think that the check-in process could be a lot more transparent. At the very least, the team lead could've been more understanding and less condescending and dismissive. I don't plan to go to this location again.

He took my calls, did a great job communicating, agreed to upgrade the hard disk from 500Gig to 1T. I placed the order Wednesday and he did it THAT DAY and shipped it THAT DAY so I would get it Friday 12/24 and have it so I could spend time on the weekend doing my set up and be ready for work Monday. He was great to work with, sold me a super laptop at a great price, upgraded it for a great price, and shipped it. I had it in less than 48 hours and before a holiday weekend. I highly recommended Mike at Laptops KC. Quality products, quality services, great prices. I will remember him and refer friends to them to buy computers. For the price of a basic medium grade PC at Best Buy I got a really outstanding Lenovo Thinkpad and I love it. Thank you Mike!

He does other things from time to time so open hours can differ, so maybe call... or just go down and see him. He has stacks of used laptops. I have purchased my last 3-4 computers (over 6-7 years) from him. All of them still work. I recently bought another $150 laptop from him just to use as a media player attached to my TV. I have used these guys for two custom built systems. The first system was a power house, a…read morescreaming system that worked great for a number of years. The second system was okay. There was a missing slot in the back where it looked liked they put in a card slot of some sort but removed it. For some reason, I never really thought to question it. If you get a computer from these guys and see something like it-question it. Question it seriously. With my recent system, I have been experiencing some problems with it when trying to edit video. I took it into another local computer repair shop to look at it for me. I upgraded the RAM but he said I needed a video card. He tried to install a couple video cards but neither worked. He realized there was a "dead spot" on the motherboard. Same reason my USB drives on the front of my computer weren't working properly. So it's logical to conclude that empty slot in the back was where they tried to install a video card, but instead of replacing the motherboard with one that properly works, they decided to sell me the computer without a proper video card. And also knowing full well there were "dead spots" in the motherboard. Who does this? What kind of computer store worth any kind of reputation would treat a customer like this? Another thing I found out was the heat sink they put in my unit was for AMD, but I am running on Intel. This is just sloppy work, and leaves a very bad impression. Come to think of it, I recall after I got the computer, the CD/DVD drive wasn't working properly either. When I took it in, the guy working there got angry about it and broke the door off the drive. He installed another CD/DVD drive in a different slot. Hmmm... probably was an issue with that faulty mother board you put in there, I would imagine? If you don't want a reliable system, want a computer place that cuts corners, out right ignores faulty equipment they put in their custom built systems, and charge you a premium price, this place is for you. But I suggest if you want great service and a computer shop that actually takes pride in putting the best custom systems that will run for years and years to come, shop elsewhere. I am giving two stars- one star for the horrible custom built they sold me a few years back that I now realize was faulty out their door, and one extra star for the custom build they sold me before that that actually ran like a champ. The lack of consistency and lack of taking pride in their work and fixing issues that customers may not realize are a problem until years down the road is a reason to avoid these clowns. They don't value their customers at all. They treat them like putzes.
