Good sandwiches! We stopped for picnic sandwiches on a walk to Astoria park. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is clean with indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can order online to avoid waiting in line to save time. The sandwich is large but i jad no problem eating a whole one and they are really good & fresh

Pretty solid sandwich place in Astoria that was a bit of travel from the Blink Gym I frequent but it was worth the journey. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Stepping inside the place has a lot going on, there is a Pac-Man Arcade 1up machine which I used to kill some time waiting for my meal, there is a large TV on the other side of the place which had The Flintstones on when I was there and the music playing in the background is enough to give a rush of nostalgia if you're a millennial like me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not like golden age 90's nostalgic but the music playing was around the 2000s, basically music I've listened to as a teen and young adult so it's definitely a spot right on the nose for 80s babies like myself. The menu is pretty expansive in variety, though I already figured what I wanted. The New Yorker Breakfast Sandwich (classic Bacon, Egg & Cheese) and the Turkey Pesto hero. I'm trying to kick the habit of mulling over how much things cost in this day and age because inflation is nothing new. Still at first I thought 2 sandwiches, a can of soda and chips for close to $30 was a tad steep but I'll excuse it because that food was very filling. You can't really go wrong with anything you'll select here. Service was also solid. Props to the woman behind the counter who got my order done in timely matter. I believe her name is Aya, the name is a bit fuzzy to remember.

Remains of Spencer's cheesesteak, and strawberry lemonade

This place was awesome! After walking around Astoria for a while, I finally decided to head inside. The sandwiches are almost all under $20, and they're all going to fill you up. I got Spencer's Cheesesteak, which was $16, and the sandwich was slightly shorter, but probably twice as wide as a subway sandwich. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was super clean, and was a tile-floored, brick accented place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very bright inside, with drinks on the side.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was pretty standard, it's a small place, so there's no table service, but the food came out quickly, all piping hot. Awesome spot!

    Cheesy Egg 'n' Mushroom

I got the cheesy egg n mushroom. It was just okay to be honest. I liked the saltiness from the cheese but the mushrooms weren't super great. I also tried their strawberry banana smoothie and that was okay! I'd still come back but I'd probably try something different off the menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On a side note, the inside of the shop is really cool. They have these mini arcade games you can play as you wait.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Nice neighborhood sandwich shop that delivers. The menu offers a variety of options, with something that appealed to everyone in our group. Our order arrived quickly and everyone enjoyed the meal.

Both sandwiches were really good and fresh. Eggplant was crispy warm and saucy. The chopped cheese was really good the meat had flavor the vegetables were fresh and delicious. Big sandwiches fast delivery.

Great sandwich spot, a little elevated from your standard NY deli but not too pretentious or skimpy on the servings. A huge variety of hot sandwiches, I got the Spicy Chicken Parm and it absolutely hit the spot. Also has the classic Boyland soda range that really makes it a classic NY deli lunch for me. Really great service as well, friendly cashiers and a tap water dispenser makes it a very pleasant experience.

I love Compton's but they do have a shortfall that aggravates me: They're Not Open 24 hours I never thought that something in life had the ability to make me so unbelievably sad. On another note, everything's delicious, their service is quick and friendly. Enjoy!

    Grilled Chicken Burrata Club

Came to the one in Astoria this time around. Much bigger than the one in LIC. The sándwich I had I wasn't that happy about it. It was supposed to be hot but because of the fresh burrata it wasn't it made it cold and it was on the messy side. My daughter had a really good sandwich however that I'd try the next time I stop on in.

Spencer hot sandwich with less cheese and mayo
    Jeffrey C.

Really wanted to like this place due to all the good reviews but it really disappointed. I ordered the Spencer hot sandwich AKA the Philly cheese steak. It tasted good but for $16, the sandwich was lackluster. This is at most a $12 sandwich. If prices were lower I would give this place a better rating. I'm unsure why other reviews say the sandwiches are huge. They're tiny... I included a picture with a Roku remote for scale. If you want a good sandwich or a sandwich that's actually worth your money, go elsewhere. If the higher prices are paying employees a better wage or better benefits, I wouldn't mind paying a higher price. But nothing on their website indicates that. Won't be returning.

Within ten minutes, it became a full-contact sport involving napkins and a high probability of a food coma. The Lineup: The Ori Emo: Pure Pat LaFrieda beef doing the heavy lifting. Classic, juicy, and gone in about four bites. Da Wink: Added applewood bacon because we aren't here to play it safe. It's "wink-at-your-trainer-while-you-skip-the-gym" good. Weary Fries: Appropriately named. Between the mozzarella, grilled corn, and double aioli, these fries are so heavy they should come with a structural engineering permit. BBQ Wings: Hand-battered, crispy, and sweet. The only thing they didn't survive was my sons. The Finish Line: We topped it off with a chocolate shake thick enough to defy physics and their famous bread pudding. That bread pudding is a rich, custard-soaked masterpiece that honestly deserves its own jersey. We're currently sitting in the car wondering if we'll ever need to eat again. 10/10 would definitely roll out of here again. Emoji Burger | 80-07 37th Ave, Queens Vibe: Deliciously messy. THE WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE…read more Came here last night with my wife because I saw all the great reviews and figured, how bad could it be? Turns out, very, very, VERY bad. We ordered two cocktails. 45 MINUTES LATER, we were still waiting. I asked our waitress twice where they were. Both times, dismissive and annoyed: "They're coming." At that point I assumed they were being delivered by horseback. The drinks finally came, watered down and mediocre. We eventually ordered a second round, and somehow three different people became involved in getting us drinks. One of them came over to ask for my wife's name for the order (?). I genuinely started wondering if we were applying for a mortgage. How many people does it take to make a cocktail here? Literally let me behind the bar and I'll mix the martini myself. It takes under 60 seconds at any bar in Manhattan, but somehow in Flushing, every drink order takes 45 minutes.

Neat, fun spot for some good food in Sunnyside!…read more For anyone like me who isn't great at reading restaurant/bar descriptors, this place isn't *just* a bar, nor is it *just* a restaurant - it's a bit of both. Cozy but not cramped, cute little spot that's great for Summer relaxed vibes and munchies. They're specialized in Latino food and drink. They apparently have a whole flight of Margaritas and/or Mojitos to sample - I'd love to try one sometime, however yesterday I stuck with a regular Margarita and was pretty pleased. Clearly made in-house, none of the store-bought drink mixes or anything involved. My mom and I split a few appetizers between the two of us and were quite full, even had some food to bring home. Went with the birria tacos (solid), a trio of other tacos (steak + chicken + pork), and a plate of fried plantains with beef and mushrooms that was really fun - first time we'd had that, glad the waitress talked us into it. Everything came with home-made guac as well. They have a full bar with quite the selection of drinks, lots of Happy Hour specials up on the walls, and a solid, straightforward menu of additional appetizers and also burgers and sandwiches. The staff are super nice and upbeat. My Ma was buying, and I believe she spent about $85 for 3+ appetizers and a drink. Not exactly cheap but it you think of it more as a filling and fairly tasty lunch for 2, roughly $40 each - it's not bad at all. Will definitely come back and give that flight of Margs a try!

I loved the old school aesthetic from the outside and all the details on the inside. THE BETTY BOOPSSSSS are the absolute best! I could not get enough. Didn't take too long for a table, maybe 15 minutes. It's popular for those who know. We got seated in the back. Out waiter was nice but new so there was a couple miscommunications but it was all good. He was in training. Judging by the people around us, they knew what they wanted. They came over and gave us pickles for the table. My sister was not a fan, so I did not partake. The father/son duo next to us got entrees but shared pancakes and the son got a milkshake. I think next time, I need to take their lead. I got a fish filet sandwich and my sister for a tuna salad sandwich with fries. I had potato salad but her fries were better. My sandwich was yummy on a brioche role and avocado slices. I loved it. I really can't wait to return. I told everyone I know about this place! May it last for many more decades ahead!
