I check my insurance and they have made payment and should be a zero balance. The confusion is my health equity line sends it directly to Dr Russell and Assoc. so it does not reach the management group. For some reason the office does not inform the billing group so they just send out collections. I have asked the management group to call the Assoc and they wont do that. There is no direct line to call for the Assoc to ask them to clear it up. Soooo.... I end up having to have my equity line fax the information over to them. It's a pain. Not happy with the lack of communication between the drs and the management group.

I asked "Maui" at Russell and Berkebile if she could give me dates on when the insurance paid and when they "supposedly" sent me a bill for the $48 balance. 30 days! Who sends a bill to collections after 30 days!? They billed one time, which we did NOT receive. I asked her if they had a portal so I can keep an eye on my own account, since they aren't doing very well at billing and she said no. So our only choice is to depend on a company to bill us, or say they did, to get our bill. This is the craziest billing practice I have ever heard of! Make sure your patients get their bill before sending it to collections Russell and Berkebile!!!! Sham on you!!
