This office is a fucking scam. If you or your kids are looking for a new eye doctor, look elsewhere. I moved to this area 18mo ago and havent seen an eye doctor in almost 3 years. Figured I would go here as I looked up IN NETWORK providers in my area. None of what this place does is transparent. I asked for a simple updated Rx for my glasses and contacts. They scammed me into taking pupil dilation (which i told them I didnt want) only to turn around and make up some fake story about how I "might" have Astigmatism. Only to put me in trial contacts fit for Astigmatism and THEY HURT MY EYES. Clearly meaning I do not have astigmatism. LIES LIES and more LIES. So what should have been a $15 visit ended up being a $140 visit because they decided to code the charges as if I have astigmatism so they could say "look we put him in the fancy contact lenses, he just didnt like them." Oh and to top it all off, the script they gave me when I left was incomplete so when i went to order contacts at Costco a week later, they wouldnt complete the order because there was missing information. And doctors wonder why no one trusts them anymore after Covid...this is why!! Read the room Doc, maybe try giving a shit about your patients for once and not treating people like cattle you shuffle through your door so you can buy another beach house. read more

I would give a negative 1000if possible. My glasses delaminated in month 18. Warranty is only standard 12 months. They told me to get lost. This is only the 2nd sad panda I have given on yelp. Never going there again. And they just snapped in half. :-( read more

Went in for a diabetic eye exam wasted trip doctor was ok said something about me being a new patient but did a great exam staff that checked me in was great manager that called me was great sales person was horrible I walked out she was arrogant and unhelpful because of my insurance so no it wasn't complete eye care. When I said I was leaving she well ok. She shouldn't have a job i was going to get a 600.00 pair of glasses but her arrogance caused me to leave. Their customer service needs work, 6-8 ladies at the desk, building with hardly any customers, and it took 45 mins for me to walk out and leave due to waiting for a pair of glasses, in which I was notified were ready and did not receive that day. My children and I have been to Complete Eye Care a few times in the past few years. Back and forth. Means been to other doctors as we felt it was quite pricey even with insurance (beyond my budget) However, my recent visit really has convinced me that I will go back . Just to save enough money before I go. Those girls in the clinic punching nos. like the nos. are not money... $200, $400 something, $500... OMG. Of course, they are not the one to pay... It has to be marketing to ask clients to have contact lens together with regular glasses. 2 eye exams, ( I had contact lenses for over twenty years till a few years ago, I found contact lens did not help me as I could not read a map while driving with contact lens, it was dangerous. I ended up leaving them in the bathroom after a couple of times. Then those doctors said no matter what I still need a pair of reading glasses on top of my contact lens if I need to read. Whut??? That meant 2 eye exam, 1 pr regular glasses, 1 pr contact lens (perhaps 1 per month), 1 pr of reading glasses. So, why contact lens with reading glasses. BS, just ripping $$$$. I gave up contact lens for years. I rather had bi-focal, progressive, super thin, anti-glare ... regular glasses. Besides, I am getting old and my eye sight won't get worse each year like when I was younger. But, my very recent time visiting Dr. Harald Vaher really gave me such a good experience that I want to let those who have not found a good eye doctor in this area to see him. He is more than professional and passion. After he understands my concern of wearing contact lens at my age, he changed at least a couple of times to adjust to what I want. Now I can wear contact lens to drive to see far away as well as reading tiny words on maps without a magnifying glasses. That is my first most satisfactory contact lens in the past 13 years. I started looking for a new eye care doctor because the last place I went to made me wait at least 45 minutes if I was there on time, and then rushed me through an appointment. I didn't get to ask questions and I didn't feel the doctor sufficiently understood me. This happened not once but every time I went there. Complete eyecare is a completely different experience. I showed up on time and was with a nurse as soon as I had finished filling out my medical history. My doctor (Dr. Barbara Marcussen) worked with me to get what I needed, when I needed it. I came with with keratoconus in my left eye (20/100 vision), and left with scleral lenses that got me up to 20/30 in my left eye and 20/20 in my right, better than glasses. Could not recommend more. read more

Went for my annual eye check up recently, and again the service was superb! I loved how personable the staff was and the care they took from the time I walked in until I left. I was never rushed through any portion of the exam, and I liked how the doctor was not running behind. I got in and out quickly. I saw Dr. Gesford again. She is easy to converse with and understand. My needs were met exactly, and there was never any suggestion of something I didn't need nor was I pushed to select particular contact lenses (such as the most expensive option). What a great experience! My family and I are new to the Belmont NC area and I received CEC from my care providers website. The promptness of check in and courteousness from the front desk all the way to the optical desk was amazing. My son wanted to try contacts for the first time and the assistance he received from Beth was phenomenal! Wonderful practice. Saw them for a routine exam after not having been to the eye doctor in 10 years (after LASIK surgery). Everyone was wonderful and the experience was very positive. GREAT office all around! I have visited many eye care facilities in Charlotte and surrounding areas and have never received such courteous and friendly service as Complete Eye Care offers. The office is very clean, there are always many staff members up front to assist you AND they're very friendly! I was not too clear on my insurance coverage when it came to contacts - they were very knowledgeable and were able to SHOW me exactly what was covered and how much my out-of-pocket expense would be at the visit as well as for my purchases. I was given full attention throughout the whole visit, giving me many opportunities to voice any concerns. Dr. Marcussen is the only Dr. I visited - she is very friendly and has a sense of humor, makes you very comfortable in this setting. She discusses everything with you and talks to your throughout your entire exam to put you at ease. I came here about a month ago for an eye exam, new glasses, and to see about getting contacts for the first time. I found the staff and Dr. Hilary to be very friendly and courteous. Dr. Hilary seemed very knowledgeable and fixed me up with a new prescription fairly quickly. Seeing as how I haven't had new glasses in about 5 years and never tried contacts before I was pleasantly surprised how patient the staff was with me while I picked out the frames I wanted and tried contacts for the first time. And it took me a loooong time to put the contacts in and much longer to take them out. I've been back several times to pick up my glasses and get more contact solution and haven't been disappointed yet. Also the prices seemed about on par and not too expensive. My entire family have been patients here for years, but we have become increasingly dissatisfied. The staff is friendly but something has felt off each time we've gone in the past couple years. They constantly try to sell you that eye therapy for your kids which is suspect. It's not covered by insurance and the price is ridiculous. And now today I found out they wrote an incorrect prescription for my daughter's glasses which the new doctor explained was both more expensive and damaging her vision. She sees double when she wears the glasses and they don't help her see clearly. I don't know if it is a change in management or what but I would steer clear at this point. I don't think you can trust that they have your best interest in mind. And if you can't trust them, you shouldn't let them take care of your eyes. read more

This was my. First visit to an eye doctor in several years. It was extremely easy to book my appointment. When I arrived the people working at the front desk were extremely friendly and I was able to go back and see the doctor within a few minutes. The doctor was very nice and made sure to explain everything that he was doing as he was going along with the exam.
