EXTREMELY DISPLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE!!! My boyfriend has been having health issues for a few years now and has gone to this practice a MULTITUDE of times, NEVER with any answers! His symptoms have been gradually worsening, to the point that it has been impacting every aspect of his life. We have been suspecting that he may be suffering from complications due to sleep apnea for some time, so he decided to schedule an appointment with them, to request a referral for a sleep study. He was guaranteed that the referral would be sent to the sleep center ASAP and he managed to lock down an appointment for the study, (about 1 month out at that time.)We both had been very much looking forward to that appointment and the possibility of finally finding some answers for him, so you could imagine that a month of waiting seemed like an ETERNITY as it was, especially with how terrible he has been feeling. After counting down the days to the appointment for almost a month now, he LITERALLY had the sleep center call him the DAY BEFORE he was scheduled to have his sleep study performed, only to tell him that they have not received the referral in time, in order to obtain prior insurance authorization! We were both utterly GOBSMACKED and DEVASTATED with the news. I called the sleep center to see if there was anything that could be done at that point and the representative I spoke with, told me that they had been attempting to contact his doctors office to obtain a copy of the referral for THREE WEEKS with NO REPLIES!!! What's worse is, WHO KNOWS when the insurance company will finally give them authorization for the service and considering we had to wait a month for the appointment, we probably won't be able to get another appointment until next year when our deductible resets! Overall, we've been completely SCREWED OVER by this SHODDY doctors office and it has cost us precious time, money and further SUFFERING, as now my boyfriend is now STUCK not being able to get his sleep study done for who knows how much longer at this point! I can most SURELY tell you that they have most DEFINITELY lost him as a patient and that they have never done a single thing to help him for the entire time he has had the DISPLEASURE of going there! Your practice deserves ZERO STARS overall and you have made your patient's quality of life MUCH WORSE in the long run! SHAME ON YOU COMPLETE CARE!! I can only assume they've gone out of business...? I've been calling repeatedly for 2 weeks trying to get an appointment with my provider for a 90 day prescription refill and to get copies of my medical records and not only are they not even answering any calls, but the voicemails I leave with the appointment line are left unanswered too. This is the last straw for me as a patient. I've watched them decline with more and more issues in returning calls, their shoddy practice in conveying test results without any explanation of WHAT the test results mean, and my pharmacy's numerous requests to tweek my custom mixed medicine that took them A MONTH to reply to.... Yes, it took a month to call my compounding pharmacy back to get my medicine straight. Unbelievable. I was referred to Complete Care Medicine by a friend who is an established patient there. Since I personally work in the Heath Care Industry I am very selective about providers that I see, and I have to say that the Physicians Assistant I saw - Trent Blake did a great job yesterday! Trent is definitely a caring genuine PA who is pretty knowledgeable and he actually spent a fair amount of time examining and explaining things to me, which I really appreciated because most primary care providers hardly spend anytime with you and try to get in and out of the room with you ASAP. Trent was the exact opposite of that type of common scenario ... I never felt rushed or like I was annoying him with my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend Trent to friends and family members. As for the office as a whole - I believe it was a good experience overall: it's a nice modern office, several different providers, front desk staff was nice and friendly, the facility is very clean, and it is fairly easy to find. I will absolutely be back and as mentioned Trent was definitely one of the best PA's I have encountered thus far!! Good job Trent! The only negatives were that there was a bit of a wait to be scene .... And when I initially called to make an apt no one returned my call, but when I called back a few days later I got in touch with someone and they scheduled me immediately. read more

I thought I would just post this since I saw so many bad reviews. The following is my personal experience. The Environment : I have been a patient here for 2 years now. The office is very nice as well as the patient rooms. The front staff is very polite (I'm surprised to see so many comments about "rude" front staff). They are very good at starting my appointment on time (which is nice because they request that a patient comes 10 minutes prior to an appointment and I am always "running late" because I reach the office just on time or 5 minutes after). Scheduling appointments is not too much of a hassle (although half the time I have to leave a message and wait for them to get back to me. But they usually do so within 24-48 hours). The Provider: My provider is PA-C Jenna Hilton. I usually just go in for my yearly physicals, but she was extremely helpful when I came in with acidity-related problems. (My problem has not been resolved because I make poor lifestyle choices. Go figure). Please don't dismiss the Physicians that work here (I noticed a lot of reviews stating that there are no doctors around). Physicians are "trained to diagnose and treat illness, as well as provide preventative care in partnership with a physician supervisor". If you come in with a problem that is not within the scope of the PA-C, they will then consult with the doctor who runs the practice. Having physician assistants are really nice because so many more people can be seen compared to the amount of people only one physician (doctor) would be able to see. The Cost: THEY ARE AFFORDABLE. My family doesn't have the best insurance, so I would say we are really lucky to be able to afford a nice place such as Complete Care Medicine through the insurance that we do have. Really surprised to see so many bad reviews. The reviews here are like two good reviews and a bunch of bad ones. If you are looking for a new place or a new Primary Care Physician, give this place a shot and don't dismiss it until you actually try it out. If you're looking for a doctors office avoid this one at all costs. Multiple times the "doctors" have forgotten to do the things they say they are going to do. They never return phone calls...ever. Despite saying phone calls will be returned within 24 hours. They had a doctor leave the office in the summer and didn't feel the need to inform his patients that he was no longer working there. I can honestly say I never give bad reviews (check my history), but if I could give zero stars I would. Dr. Young is great, no problems or complaints with him, but the support staff is horrendous. Their follow up is horrible, they call you for results of tests days after they say they will. The results you ask for, they say they will call you back with (but never do) and their I don't care attitude is just the worst. I've been four times now and have seen four different people. Poorly managed. Today was the worst experience of my life. I called to get results from a test I took sent over to the specialist. "Heather" said it could take up to a week to get them the results (mind you it's already been two weeks because they "forgot" to send them the results). Heather's dismissive attitude and "this is common practice" was the worst customer service I've ever seen at a doctors office. Just don't go here. If the outside of the building doesn't scare you away, dealing with the "customer service" staff will. This will probably be the only bad review I do all year, but they sorely deserve it. read more

Very friendly and professional staff. Heather S is so caring, amazing, and smart. She treats everyone as if they are part of her family which has resulted in her providing care for my entire family. My mother is 75, and my youngest child Heather cares for is 18 months. Our last appointment was with Kelsey due to Heather being off, and she was excellent as well. By far the worst medical BUSINESS I've ever visited as a patient in my entire life. From the top to the bottom this place is pathetic and quite frankly piss poor compared to other offices. I spoke with the Office Manager and the best response I got back after waiting almost an hour for her to get off a call was she's sorry. Just know the best you'll get from this place is a SORRY! No respect for patient privacy and zero respect for patients time. I spent 2 1/2 hours in a back room and 4 days waiting on blood results that I had to call them for before they ever thought of reaching out to me and scheduling a follow up to go over the results I needed. read more

After loosing my doctor to a concierge medical service I have been shopping around for a great doctor. I believe I have found one! Called in for an appointment and was expecting one days away. instead, they scheduled me for the next day!! I've been a patient here for 2+ years seeing Trent Blake, a physician's assistant. Honestly, I think he's better than most doctors I've worked with. Knows his stuff, takes the time to answer all my questions, and really seems to care. The staff has been helpful and friendly and I've been able to get appointments the same week or the following week. I'll be honest this office has it's ups and downs. The doctor I see there Kody Smith is an amazing doctor and the reason I keep coming back. The front desk girls are a bit of a mixture, over all they're friendly and attempt to be helpful. Though the office as a whole is very poor about calling you back for your lab results. You also will wait an extremely long time if you have to return another day for blood work. They say it's normally an average of 20 minutes, however it took close to 3 hours before they got me back there to draw blood. Unfortunately, I'll admit I don't have the highest standards for doctors offices but I can say Kody Smith is one of the most caring and empathetic doctors I've had so I'll continue to return, even if the office itself isn't the greatest. Awful! After I fasted all morning for blood work for 2:00 appt I get to the office, check in, then 15 min later they tell me I'm actually scheduled tomorrow (their error). After asking to see if they could still do it i wait another 20 min for them to ask the PA and then they say sorry can't do it if not on the schedule. My husband & I moved to AZ in August last year. We immediately got an appointment to establish a primary physician. We took our prescriptions and medical history from our prior docs. My husband has had one 90 day prescription for his maintenance medication for hypertension. He needs a refill and has been refused by the doctor saying he must come in for an appointment. FOR A MAINTENANCE MED THAT HES BEEN TAKING FOR YEARS! We are in the middle of a pandemic, are told not to go out unless it is absolutely necessary and he is in the high risk category if he catches this virus. We are told to set up a video appointment. The only possible reason for this is to bill Medicare for an office visit that he doesn't need. We are Pissed! I would caution anyone using this medical office! Be prepared to go to the doc every 90 days whether you need to or not! read more

The good. The wait time was short and the facility was clean... and that is the long list of what was good. The staff was almost rude, forgot a couple items that had to be taken care by the PA, and I had to finish the paperwork that was incomplete. The PA was Trent Blake. His demeanor was sort of friendly, but his execution was lacking. He had no concern for anything that might cause me pain. During my physical he thought he found a hernia in my groin, what he found was a malformation from birth. Instead of moving on he continued to "diagnos" forcefully; which caused me weeks of excruciating pain. - Normally I would have stopped the exam and just gone somewhere else, but I had to have the physical completed that day. I've been a patient here, specifically of Dr. Herrera' for a few years now. After reading so many critical reviews I thought I might share a different perspective. First, yes it's true that the doctor does schedule out pretty far. Being that my health conditions require me to be seen quarterly I don't have a problem with that. I simply schedule my next appointment prior to leaving. The few times I've needed to be seen for illness, I've taken an appointment with whomever is available. I haven't been disappointed with the care received from anyone there. I've found the front desk staff to be quite busy. I've not experienced or witnessed anything negative there. They are simply busy. Yes, it's true that sometimes it takes longer to get test results back than what had been communicated. Yet I've found their Patient Portal on their website to be an excellent way to not only review test results and previous visit notes, but also to send a quick message. Every time I've used the portal to ask about anything I typically hear back within 24-48 hours. That works for me. Yes, there are times where there is more of a wait than I'd like, but honestly that has been the case in every doctors office I've ever been too. I don't really mind because I know when it's my turn, I will get my doctors full attention and not feel rushed. I feel listened to, my questions are always answered respectfully and in a way I can understand. I appreciate having a doctor who is open minded enough to let me share new information or treatment options I've researched about my health condition and he doesn't just shoot it down because it may be something new or unfamiliar. He truly listens, researches if needed, and gives me insight into why we/ I should or shouldn't give it a try. Dr. Herrera is truely a professional who has earned my respect. Good luck getting a follow up from this place. I went and got a second opinion on a back issue from another doctor and all of a sudden Dr. Kody Smith and team cancelled my blood pressure meds, stating I was no longer a patient. Now I permanently moved doctors and couldn't be happier. The new Dr. Is actually completing tests to find out the problem. I love this practice. I Always get in right away. Hardly ever wait in the lobby. They call in a timely manor with test results and also send to pharmacy right away. Recently saw Heather and I can't say enough good things. So personable. I've also had appts w Jenna who I also adore as a provider. I've only seen Dr Herrera and Dr Cody a couple times. There is nothing but kind words to be said for the providers, I usually see Jenna Hilton, she is fabulous, so sweet, caring and concerned about the well being of her patients. As for the rest of the office, front office and medical assitants are a disaster. 90% of the time they are so extremely rude and short, thats if they even listen to what you are trying to say. Getting ahold of anyone in that office is an absolute joke. Leave a message and it takes days to hear back from anyone and its useless because they don't listen to the message you left to begin with. I Cant tell you how awful this was. I was "seen" yesterday. 1) I cant rate a doctor I did not see! You make an appointment with a doctor and then get sent to a Physician assistant, not a doctor, 2) with no explanation of what happened to the doctor. They have no expertise, did not go to medical school and do not have a clue.3)He said "We aren't trained for such things" WHAT?!?! I made an appointment for blood work and then to be seen by doctor. I arrived early and waited for 45 minutes before being told they would not do blood work prior. They made and confirmed appointment and sent me a reminder only to make me wait. When they offered to have me speak with a representative but then never did. I arranged my whole morning and they were not emphatic to my plight at there doing. This will be my last appointment. The hassles of switching doctors will be worth the service. I have been going here for 6 years at first was pretty great saw dr. Cody Smith he was amazing. Then called to schedule an appointment and he was no longer there. So started seeing other doctors and nurse practitioners. Every time I went I alway saw someone different doctors keep leaving and coming so impersonal. So I call to make an appointment today they tell me they are no longer taking my insurance so I ask if they can send in a refill for my medication till I find a new doctor and they said no. Ive been coming here for over 3 years now. I have quite a lot of options gathered, all of them have been extremely consistent. Pros: Doctors are nice and helpful. Assistants are great at blood draws and pleasant, kind. Cons: Absolutely horrible communication regarding payments and insurance. Doesn't charge you correctly and then expects me to pay the difference even though it was their fault. Front staff is rude and does not know how to explain anything regarding insurance. Never told me there was a check in time AND an appointment time. Never calls back when they say they will. Can't keep track of client history. Has told me that they haven't gotten my results back even though I got a letter in the mail saying that it was ready. When I actually apparently have results ready they say up to 2 weeks for them but it's really 6-8 weeks. Almost always a 20 minute wait or more after your appointment, and usually another 15 sitting in the room waiting for a doctor. Set up a payment plan (because THEY charged me incorrectly for months) only to fill out paperwork again because they 'forgot' to tell me there was a minimum monthly charge. And to top it all off, I was prescribed something that was 100mg, only to get a call 14 days later saying I was supposed to be prescribed 25mg for 14 days and then supposed to take the 100mg after that. Is my mental health really that much a priority to them? I doubt it. Also, thanks for going weeks (multiple times) without calling my boyfriend back who needed insulin to live. Read this for a true professional evaluation. I am a dentist and struggle to make time during the regular day to get to the doctors for regular visits. Although this office is pretty good at accommodating my schedule, my appointments are with PA's or Nurse Practitioners. I was originally referred to the office to see Dr. Herrera. But out of the 20 or so times that I have visited the office, I have seen Dr. Herrera 3 times. I have seen the office transform over the past 5 years into a typical business. If you note many of the poor reviews are due to lack of follow up and other inconsistencies. Additionally, they like to treat one or two symptoms or conditions at a time. Many times in addition to my 6 month wellness check to refill my hypertension prescriptions, I will have other issues that need a treatment. This office will not treat multiple issues willingly. They will always try to get you to come back for another visit which is extremely frustrating for someone like me that has limited time during the day. Furthermore, there is a disconnect in patient management due to the lack of consistency with providers. It seems like tedious notes are taken each visit, but I get asked many questions each visit that would only need to be asked once if they really knew who I was or really paid attention to prior notes. In conclusion, this office does not work for me. If you have plenty of time and can work your schedule around to develop a rapport with the same practitioner,(not doctor) and do not mind seeing a practitioner, then you may receive a decent health care experience. read more

I had to visit Complete Care Medicine as an out-of-state patient needing immediate care. Dr. Young was very thorough & sensitive with my treatment options as I am a self paying patient (no health insurance). Even so, he expedited my blood work and testing to get to the root of the problem while I was in the Gilbert area. Now, 8 months later, the staff and PA Jonathon have continued to be thorough and supportive, answering my calls, authorizing prescription refills and working with me on the regular even though I spend much of my time out of the state. The staff at this medical practice is amazing! My mother-in-law sees Dr. Hererra, and he is always kind, welcoming, and genuinely cares about her. He also worked closely with us to help get her off all unnecessary medications, and today, she is medication-free and greatly improved! All of this is due to Dr. Hererra taking the time to sit, listen, and discuss with patients, and partnering with them to provide the best care possible. UPDATE: I emailed Complete Care Medicine about my frustration over the $40 paperwork fee and explained my personal situation on why I thought it was unfair (see my original review). Dr. Herrera emailed me back and explained why they have to charge the fees (which I understand), but he also understood why it would not be fair for them to charge me an additional fee since I was already paying for my visit and completed the paperwork for them. I am very pleased he took the time to listen and rectify the situation. They will continue to be my go-to family practice. read more

if I could rate this place a 0, I would! DO NOT GO HERE!!! My husband and I both scheduled new patient yearly physical appointments here. Over the phone they advised they were a primary doctor for our insurance so we scheduled. We got there for my husband's appointment first and everything seemed to go smooth. When we left they advised they would bill the insurance and everything was covered. Since then, I also had an appointment scheduled and from the time I came in the door to leaving, they confused my file. One moment I was covered and the next I wasn't. I further reviewed that and got it resolved. Since then I have never received a bill, and I had the same services plus a urine sample. My husband and I also worked for the same company at the time, so insurance was identical. Now almost a half a year later, we get a bill for the full amount of my husband's appointment. I call requesting to speak with someone about it. The billing supervisor calls back and basically states that the appointment was for hypertension and not a regular new patient physical. We have never been there before so how could they not conduct a new patient physical prior to diagnosing someone for hypertension first of all? Even after I explained that was an error, she emphasized that there was no error and it was already billed so to call our insurance. She explained the appointment was coded for that, and I further inquired what happened during the appointment that changed the coding.....no answer. All he had was a blood sample and discussion of his blood pressure results. He declined the urine sample which I didn't but his appointment type changed.??? I told her we weren't going to pay it because they fraudulently changed the coding. She then told me they would just send it to collections if we don't pay and hung up on me. OMG!!! Absolutely unacceptable! I am seeking legal advice in regards to this now! read more
