I've never had a bad meal at Compass. Chef Eleni is my Go-To caterer, too. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out!

There are large tables for groups to come together socially or for business. They offer free Wi-Fi. The seating in the back is very private. They played relaxing and calming music that was a pleasure to listen to while drinking delicious coffee and sitting in comfort. Hannah was our barista, and she was lovely! She is a kind and friendly person who took the time to explain how to make reservations for the Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony that can be scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays. The Yirgacheffe coffee was incredible, so smooth! It is from Ethiopia--the birthplace of coffee. The food menu is vegetarian (no meat served) The noise level was perfect, indoor seating is plentiful (no outdoor seating), and parking is plentiful in the lot in front. In the restroom, the toilet was a bidet. I wish the menu were in a larger font to make it easier to read. I feel coffee shops in general need ample storage to keep supplies and clutter out of sight of customers.

They have good amount of tables but not all have access to an outlet. They get very busy during rush hour and on the weekend, so come early to snag a spot! The staff & owner are always super friendly!

Incredible! I will totally have to go here again…read more I went here specifically for Mile High Asian Food Week. I got the Tokyo Fog-their take on a London Fog. It's Oolong Tea, Earl Grey Syrup, and a Matcha Foam on top. Holy cow. One of the best drinks I've ever had. It should be noted that I have never really been a huge fan of matcha. However, this drink may have converted me. I will be back again, mark my words. Lol. I also got a Pandan Coconut scone as well. It was huge but went really nicely with my drink. Definitely want to try their Ube scone next time. I got here right at 7 AM, when they open. Parking was easy and the shop was very clean. There aren't a ton of spots to sit down for large groups, but lots for pairs, so I'm not sure I would necessarily count on sitting down here. Its aesthetic in general, is simple and clean. Finally, service was very kind and did an amazing job at making my drink.

The ube latte was perfectly sweet with a strong ube flavor. The crème brûlée cruffin had a top that was so crispy from the toasted sugar that I couldn't cut into it, and the bottom was just stuffed full of cream. It was super messy to eat and impossible to share- next time I am getting my own. We also had the pandan coconut cupcake, which was good but not as exciting as the cruffin. The pandan and coconut were both equally strong flavors- I liked it better than my husband did. The Thai tea cake in a cup was also excellent, but outshone by the cruffin. They were out of a few other things we wanted to try by 11am on a Saturday, so get there early if you want something specific. The gentleman running the counter was very friendly and efficient, even when they were busy. Seriously, get the crème brûlée cruffin. I know I will be back for it.

I think I built it up in my head so it sat on a pedestal from all the buzz I've heard. Everything was fine but again, expected something wow worthy. We came here for lunch, love that everything is to go. I was sad to see the traditional cold cut banh mi sold out for the day I pivoted and went with lemongrass pork sandwich. Similar fixing to banh mi, it tasted fine but the pork was rough and tasted ok. They have gorgeous pastries and Vietnamese coffee drinks, I would come back for one of those. We split a cup of cakes (cute!), Boston Thai Tea. Flavor was spot on and appreciated that it wasn't too sweet. I would stop here again if I was in the area and needed a banh mi but don't see that happening. I would rather go to Federal or Aurora for one with more flavor.

The menu is on the wall and hard to read so I asked the woman behind the counter if they had a paper menu, She rolled her eyes and pushed one across the counter like I was inconveniening her. I placed my order, and she told me to go find a table and the food would be out soon. As soon as I sat down, she came out and brought me my coffee. I asked for cream and sugar, and she said it was on the counter inside. It was a giant cup of coffee (which is awesome) but it was filled to the top. So I burned my hand when I spilled it, trying to get in sugar. By this time I was very frustrated. I went back to my table and my food came up almost immediately. The server was smiling and friendly. The food looked amazing and tasted even better. Iordered almond les leches french toast, cheese grits and bacon. The greats are okay, but nothing specia but the french toast was out of this world. It was thick, cut, smoked bacon that tasted fantastic. The server and the food saved this visit for me. I am going to assume that the woman at the counter was having a bad day and not let it keep me from coming back.

I told him "no thanks, just the two shots and a cup of ice on the side." The worker was insanely rude over giving me a cup of ice. He clarified that this isn't a real Starbucks and he can't just give me a cup of ice because I need to purchase an actual drink for me to advertise the cup. Understandable, but there was also no need to yell at me asking for a cup of ice. Sounds like he deals with a lot of people who confuse this cafe with a real Starbucks. I then told him I didn't want the cup of ice anymore, just the doppio espresso. He then showed me the cup with the logo like I was stupid explaining the same thing and then angrily told me, "how do you want me to order this?" I told him, "I just want a double shot of espresso." I explained that I originally wanted a cup of ice to add it to my own drink. So instead of giving me a cup of ice, he took my cup and filled it with ice. Coming from someone who does work at a real Starbucks, we're not allowed to take half drank personal cups to fill with ice because it's considered unsanitary. We give away cups of ice for free all the time with the logo, so either this cafe has ridiculous rules, he didn't want to waste a cup, and/or this guy just hates his job. Customer service was terrible. I am all for supporting small businesses, but you're better off going to the real Starbucks across the street.

The service was really friendly, even though they were super busy. Apparently, the space, while still called Coffee Story, has new owners. I ended up getting the Biscoff Latte with oat milk and the mixed berry croffle. If you like sweet drinks like me, then the Biscoff latte is really up your alley. The mixed berry croffle was also pretty good. I expected the croffle to be more flaky because the base is a croissant but it was still pretty good. Although I didn't get pictures of the inside, there's plenty of seating but beware that the tables inside can be quite small for a group of 2 coming in to work or study. Make sure to come early enough to snag one of the tables with more chairs so you have more space. Also they are open really late. I believe it's 11 p.m. or 12 a.m. which is great! Make sure to check their website for hours. Otherwise, I really liked the ambience and the space so I'll definitely be coming back again. I really need to come back and try their matcha and their honeycomb, amongst other things.
