Ah, the nose when you walk in the door. Love it. This is my latest breakfast find when taking people to the airport. That gives me a chance to search for new (at least for me). Today is actually the first day for Mera Cafe under new ownership. I don't know if me at the door is a blessing or a curse. I had an avocado toast on sour dough with egg and a Greek side salad. Both tasty. The new couple are from Ethiopia and will be introducing Ethiopian food to the menu. I'll be back. Have to load up the car and road trip to check it out. For today, it is a good place to have breakfast.

This new Greek Cafe is a cute, family owned, breakfast-brunch-lunch restaurant. They serve anything from breakfast burritos to avocado toast & kabobs to Gyros for lunch! Everything is fresh and made to order. The Gyro Wrap is hands down one if the best Gyros I've had in a while.

Still a 5 in my book! Six months ago, Cafe Mera opened. Six months later their food and service still rocks and they keep adding delightful adds to their menu. Today I tried their Spicy Feta toast for breakfast. What a brilliant idea. The spicy feta compliments nicely with a good coffee and all the healthy veggies makes me feel like I'm doing something right!

I had an oat milk latte and it was great! Made with Ethiopian coffee. The traditional Ethiopian breakfast was delicious, be warned it's a bit spicy! The owner gave me a free sample and I was SOLD. I wish every breakfast was this good. The scrambled eggs and sausage links were delicious, tasted of quality! This cafe launched only 4 months ago. You can tell the owner has put intentional care into all that she does. I highly recommend when you're in the area!

    Great service, kind people!!

Inside and outside seating is available. Service was great. Our waitress was rushing the whole time with all of her tables. The food: I had biscuits & gravy, and a Twisted Philly. Both were really good. I really enjoyed the spice in the Philly. My wife really liked her chicken fried steak. She nearly ate the whole thing. My son liked the hangover bowl but he wanted more tortillas. He got 2 and tried tipping my home fries to see if it would be good. Other than that, our meal was good.

The space is nice and quaint but the seats at the high top tables made for an uncomfortable sitting situation for me. My butt isn't big but it's not small but I kept sliding while seated as did my husband so he grabbed a yellow chair from the bar. We even had a conversation with the table next to us and they experienced the same thing! Anyway, I ordered the grilled chicken avocado sandwich and the house potatoes and a coke. Not bad, loved the house potatoes and a side of bacon cooked extra crispy. My hubby ordered pancakes, two patties (frozen) eggs and house potatoes too. He said they were ok but ate the food any way. The customer experience wasn't bad at all the waitress was quick and doing her best to get the food out hot and fresh. One thing would be great is to ask guests if it's their first time and share the favorites of the house and make recommendations. My suggestions to the owner, please replace the sliding chairs and if you need help getting some wooded high bar chairs, I can help. Would I try it again ?

The menu is on the wall and hard to read so I asked the woman behind the counter if they had a paper menu, She rolled her eyes and pushed one across the counter like I was inconveniening her. I placed my order, and she told me to go find a table and the food would be out soon. As soon as I sat down, she came out and brought me my coffee. I asked for cream and sugar, and she said it was on the counter inside. It was a giant cup of coffee (which is awesome) but it was filled to the top. So I burned my hand when I spilled it, trying to get in sugar. By this time I was very frustrated. I went back to my table and my food came up almost immediately. The server was smiling and friendly. The food looked amazing and tasted even better. Iordered almond les leches french toast, cheese grits and bacon. The greats are okay, but nothing specia but the french toast was out of this world. It was thick, cut, smoked bacon that tasted fantastic. The server and the food saved this visit for me. I am going to assume that the woman at the counter was having a bad day and not let it keep me from coming back.

Said I should expect about a 30 min wait for the group size and time we were wanting to be sat. Got there 30 mins prior to when we wanted to sit and the hostess told me it would be 45-60 mins and that there were several reservations ahead of me including another 7 top and if the reservation came in our table would keep getting bumped. This was VERY annoying. Our table ended up being ready in 30 mins which was nice but the conversation with the hostess to start then seemed ridiculously unnecessary. There is little waiting space inside and a makeshift host "area." I won't be back.
