The initial drop off was fine and they came back the day that was requested to pick up our pod. Fast forward a few months later we moved into our home and they dropped off our pod, the time moved from when they were originally supposed to drop off the pod but it was still delivered the same day. A few days go past and our requested pick up day comes and the pod was never picked up. So we checked the status of our pick up and it was changed to the next day and the time frame given was earlier in the day. That time came around and once again the pod wasn't picked up but the time frame changed again to a much later time (6:15-9:45pm) and once again the pod WAS NEVER PICKED UP! Finally my mother and sister called to see what was going on because when they got on the website to see the status of our pickup it was changed again to mid day and an hour or 2 later it was moved to the next day. My mother spoke to the corporate office in Utah because she didn't want to be charged for the days that the pod was just sitting on our property when they were supposed to pick it days ago. They stated that they NOW couldn't pick it up until tomorrow. If you are keeping track, this will now be day 3 with no pickup. My sister called the manager at this location and left him a VM because she wanted to know what was going on and when was someone coming to pick up the pod because it's blocking the road and we live in a neighborhood that we can be fined for this being on the street too long. The manager then stated that they were trying to find someone to come and get the pod today. Most likely it will be this evening. My sister then told him that on the website it's saying the pickup was due to happen tomorrow. He then said they would come and get it today around the same time frame they told us yesterday evening (6:15-9:45). It's now 9:29 and no pickup up truck on site. I highly recommend that you don't deal with company in general; and if you don't have a choice, then don't deal with this location. I will be taking this matter to the BBB because the corporate office is no better than the managers at this location. And they conducted themselves very poorly and they all seem to be confused and not able to communicate well on the matter.

Broken furniture, missing parts, lying truck driver, and the list goes on. My sister and I had to help unload and put my furniture away. ( Which I paid extra for.) The truck driver, the 800 phone number, the salesman, kept telling us help was on the way, but little did we know, the truck driver had no intentions of getting help, since he has to pay the crew. It took almost 12 hours for the three of us to unload and assemble things. The driver even tried to take my expensive lawn mower, and insisted it was not in his truck. I told him it had to be there, it was new, and in the manufacturer's box. As I start to search his rig, he is right behind me saying "it's not here," and just as he says it I find my box. He is still denying it is mine. (It is roped off in another section,) I show him my name on box, and he finally lets me have it. Towards the 11th hour we knew that the truck driver was also exhausted. My sister and I are over 65 years old. Needless to say I "Threw my back out with so much lifting,"... my sister did not feel well, either. We made a complaint right away about what happened and were assured we would be compensated for the extreme, grueling, episode, we went through... And they tell me I signed a paper that says .60 cents a pound. So for my Flex Norditrack, my furniture, my missing batteries for mower, etc, they offer me about $75.00, then they offer me 150.00 for the 12 hours of work my sister and I had to do, and no compensation for being in bed for almost two weeks in serious pain. I am exhausted of trying to talk to their people. "RUN, DON't WALK AWAY FROM this MOVING COMPANY... There are more nightmare stories of them stealing stuff, being rude, and holding furniture as ransom. If you do have a CLAIM make sure you file it before nine months is up. My only recourse now is to take them to court.

It didn't help that my parents were breathing down my neck, doing the frugal-Asian-parents thing that they do. In the end, the choice was pretty clear. I could go with a traditional van line moving service, or I could hire Bekins' moving pod product line, Chronos, at roughly half the cost. Even though half of a big number is still a big number, the savings (at over a grand!) had me sold. On both ends of the move, the folks who came to pick up and drop off most of my worldly possessions were supremely efficient at their task and flexible with logistical requirements/challenges. Y'know... like the crazy regulations that generally don't make sense, but that are enforced by a condo management agency. Or similar ultra-strict rules and missing freight elevator operators in a Manhattan doorman building. Eh. I got to use my own padlock to ensure that no one tampered with my crap once it was loaded into the giant moving pod; the only casualties of the move appear to be a small plate and a little plastic pad for my dining room table. I barely had to lift a finger, and the price was -exactly- what I was quoted, down to the last cent. As far as I'm concerned, I consider hiring Bekins to haul my stuff up the eastern seaboard a success. That said, I'm really -not- excited about moving again anytime soon.

As someone who takes faith seriously, I find that deeply offensive given how this company actually conducts business. There is absolutely nothing about my experience that reflects honesty, integrity, or accountability--values that are foundational to Christianity. Using faith as a marketing tool while operating like this is misleading at best. After my move, multiple items were lost and damaged. I went through their claims process in good faith and ultimately signed a settlement agreement for $1,549. The company confirmed in writing that payment would be processed within 3-4 weeks. It has now been over nine weeks, and I have received no payment and no meaningful communication. At this point, I've had to escalate the situation beyond the company itself. I am in active discussions with the Fort Belvoir transportation office, and this company's handling of claims and failure to pay is being reviewed in the context of their eligibility to continue handling military PCS moves. Service members and their families deserve far better than this. Let me be clear: this is no longer about the money. It is about principle. A company that signs a settlement agreement and then ignores it is not operating in good faith. If this is not resolved immediately, I will be pursuing legal action for breach of contract. If you are considering using this company--especially for a military move--I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. There are plenty of companies that will treat you with honesty and respect. This is not one of them.

The go…read morefind a rest area, park near the side of the building or back of building and go through your stuff and then meet you at your at house with items ruined. Service, quality, value of their company ALL BAD. I WILL CONTINUE TO INFORM PEOPLE ABOUT THIS SOLOMON MILBURN Solomon M, owner of MDT Towing, approached me when he saw me &my children at a storage unit where he was dropping off a guy's stuff. Solomon refers to his customer who was moving in that day as the "st!inky African guy." I was worried bc I had never used a moving company before due to concerns and fear about people knowing where I live, scoping out my house, & then the obvious which is property damage, and other horror stories I had heard. All of these things I expressed to him & he assured me my stuff would be tied down and that they been in the business for 12 years. Let me add STUFF IS MISSING & broken. I spoke w/ him on 10/15, the day of my settlement, between 8am and 9am, and inquired whether it was too late to get movers. He said no, we'll be at the storage unit at 2 p.m. Now, I'm big on supporting black owned businesses and Solomon and his team showed me more and more why it was a horrible idea. I will never ever! I asked him if he was sure since if so, we could move the timing if necessary to 4. He claimed the timing was great and that I need to pay $40 for holding fee. I had him on speaker phone, and my realtor, title firm, and daughter were all listening. I have pictures of when the invoice was paid and when I notified him that it was paid. I asked him again about the pricing and whether it will alter due to the last minute, and he answered no. He added, "Better yet, I'll give you a discount of $550, with the $40 included." When he first spoke with me a few weeks ago, he quoted $525 and claimed he would give me a discount. At 2 p.m., myself, my kid, & my closest friend were waiting for the movers to come. I sent him a call/text about their location, and he said they'd be late around 45 minutes after I sat there since 2pm. The truck arrived late, as did Solomon, and the movers (2 guys) did not show up until 4. During our 1st talk, I expressed my concerns about movers & asked Solomon if he did background checks while being concerned about theft. He chuckled. I contacted him after 1 1/2 hours of waiting; at this point, he is waiting w/us for his contracted movers after Solomon also showed up late. I told him I had to leave at 4 p.m. since the guys wasn't there to pick up my son & return the Verizon box to kill time. I was only able to pick up my son, never to deliver box back and the movers arrived minutes later. During that time, Solomon asked me could I run him about 7-10 mins up the street to his truck. Again, this is my time wasted 2 hours yet he needed a ride. I should have charged him for gas. Then he gets in the car asking personal questions after noticing my government laptop and card. He then started asking where I'm from and all other questions he shouldn't have asked. Also, sharing w/myself and my BF about how the African he helped got money, etc. He knew too much personal stuff about his clients that he shouldn't have known. During the transfer of my belongings, they had no tarp, straps, or anything to secure my belongings, as he stated--TV, dressers, nothing. My best friend and I did the majority of their labor running up and down the steps. The guy upstairs was throwing my stuff everywhere. Solomon stayed downstairs on his cellphone. We left the storage unit after 530pm-6pm, and just 10 minutes later pulling out of the storage unit, Solomon called to say they needed to stop for 15 minutes to eat. They ate after arriving two hours late. They stopped at WAWA parked near the side and back of the building. We waited 25-30 mins at my house bc they had the bulk of our things. The 2 guys brought items in, we realized that my big screen TV had been severely damaged. Solomon addressed me as ma'am before stating that they worked for more than four hours and that he will not charge me $735. Now, while he behind sat in the car doing nothing, his the short guy asked me why was he there. I told him who Solomon and he said yes. I told him I was not sure because I figure he go to all sites with them and he said no he doesn't go to all the sites with them. Part2- I will use my SM platform to expose them. After unpacking I found broken class from m entire kitchen set. He takes no accountability. Only 2 showed and he said it would be 3. They also asked personal questions and scoped out my house. I also thought the service was a good value for the level of work they provided. What I especially appreciated was that they worked with me to find a solution when my plans changed. At one point, I was considering storing my belongings at their warehouse for less than a week. Rather than simply taking the additional business, they told me it did not make sense to move everything from the original location into warehouse storage for such a short period because it would unnecessarily increase my costs. That advice was one of the reasons I ultimately decided to use PODS instead. My moving needs did change at the last minute, which made the overall move more expensive than I had originally planned, but that was because of the changing logistics, not because they were trying to increase the price. I really appreciated that they were focused on helping me find the most practical and cost-effective solution. I would absolutely recommend them.

Looks like I am not the only one, don't know if that makes me feel better or worse. When I called Karen was awesome and I was so excited for the service. Silly me. I have moved 10 times before this in as many years. This is BY FAR the worst experience I have had. I KNOW how long it takes to move my place. Not only did this take more than TWICE as long with allegedly a whole other person, they brought a fourth unauthorized guy. And still took more than half the time. One guy sat in the truck most of the time, I have pictures, the others didn't start on my kitchen until the end, had to wait for that....later to find out when I went back to the old apartment they hadn't even finished the whole kitchen ...ran over my allotted time at the building I was moving out of, at my cost. And then they ruined my couch. So I paid DOUBLE what I was expecting, which was already more than what was quoted cause I was adding a little buffer, but ended up tipping a whole additional person because I'm not a jerk. The guys were nice but inefficient. Kept saying this is what you get with a higher quality mover, but it was not even a better experience. They were wasteful with the amount of packing supplies they used, never presented or communicated the prices of the materials they were using, which I was told was included anyway but also others I never approved or asked for. Just popped it on me in the end. Oh and then they say "we are going to adjust your time by 15 min you'll see a refund on your card" and two and a half weeks later still waiting for it to even show pending at least. But you better believe the charge was instant. I was debating sharing my feedback but was so mad I finally emailed the company. But no one had even dignified me with not even an automated response, just silence. So I come here to do something I pretty much never do. But that's how annoyed I am. Sorry but would rather recommend. Cheap Movers, way better. I used last move were a thousand times better and a QUARTER of the price. I'm not even cheap but I hate being taken for a fool, and it turned out to be just that. That's what I get what I get for using hourly movers for the first time, never again. A slow work scam, exactly what I was worried about, but like an idiot I bought into the reassurances Karen gave me but they truly let her down. I hope she knows they're having her selling lies.
