The initial drop off was fine and they came back the day that was requested to pick up our pod. Fast forward a few months later we moved into our home and they dropped off our pod, the time moved from when they were originally supposed to drop off the pod but it was still delivered the same day. A few days go past and our requested pick up day comes and the pod was never picked up. So we checked the status of our pick up and it was changed to the next day and the time frame given was earlier in the day. That time came around and once again the pod wasn't picked up but the time frame changed again to a much later time (6:15-9:45pm) and once again the pod WAS NEVER PICKED UP! Finally my mother and sister called to see what was going on because when they got on the website to see the status of our pickup it was changed again to mid day and an hour or 2 later it was moved to the next day. My mother spoke to the corporate office in Utah because she didn't want to be charged for the days that the pod was just sitting on our property when they were supposed to pick it days ago. They stated that they NOW couldn't pick it up until tomorrow. If you are keeping track, this will now be day 3 with no pickup. My sister called the manager at this location and left him a VM because she wanted to know what was going on and when was someone coming to pick up the pod because it's blocking the road and we live in a neighborhood that we can be fined for this being on the street too long. The manager then stated that they were trying to find someone to come and get the pod today. Most likely it will be this evening. My sister then told him that on the website it's saying the pickup was due to happen tomorrow. He then said they would come and get it today around the same time frame they told us yesterday evening (6:15-9:45). It's now 9:29 and no pickup up truck on site. I highly recommend that you don't deal with company in general; and if you don't have a choice, then don't deal with this location. I will be taking this matter to the BBB because the corporate office is no better than the managers at this location. And they conducted themselves very poorly and they all seem to be confused and not able to communicate well on the matter.

Broken furniture, missing parts, lying truck driver, and the list goes on. My sister and I had to help unload and put my furniture away. ( Which I paid extra for.) The truck driver, the 800 phone number, the salesman, kept telling us help was on the way, but little did we know, the truck driver had no intentions of getting help, since he has to pay the crew. It took almost 12 hours for the three of us to unload and assemble things. The driver even tried to take my expensive lawn mower, and insisted it was not in his truck. I told him it had to be there, it was new, and in the manufacturer's box. As I start to search his rig, he is right behind me saying "it's not here," and just as he says it I find my box. He is still denying it is mine. (It is roped off in another section,) I show him my name on box, and he finally lets me have it. Towards the 11th hour we knew that the truck driver was also exhausted. My sister and I are over 65 years old. Needless to say I "Threw my back out with so much lifting,"... my sister did not feel well, either. We made a complaint right away about what happened and were assured we would be compensated for the extreme, grueling, episode, we went through... And they tell me I signed a paper that says .60 cents a pound. So for my Flex Norditrack, my furniture, my missing batteries for mower, etc, they offer me about $75.00, then they offer me 150.00 for the 12 hours of work my sister and I had to do, and no compensation for being in bed for almost two weeks in serious pain. I am exhausted of trying to talk to their people. "RUN, DON't WALK AWAY FROM this MOVING COMPANY... There are more nightmare stories of them stealing stuff, being rude, and holding furniture as ransom. If you do have a CLAIM make sure you file it before nine months is up. My only recourse now is to take them to court.

It didn't help that my parents were breathing down my neck, doing the frugal-Asian-parents thing that they do. In the end, the choice was pretty clear. I could go with a traditional van line moving service, or I could hire Bekins' moving pod product line, Chronos, at roughly half the cost. Even though half of a big number is still a big number, the savings (at over a grand!) had me sold. On both ends of the move, the folks who came to pick up and drop off most of my worldly possessions were supremely efficient at their task and flexible with logistical requirements/challenges. Y'know... like the crazy regulations that generally don't make sense, but that are enforced by a condo management agency. Or similar ultra-strict rules and missing freight elevator operators in a Manhattan doorman building. Eh. I got to use my own padlock to ensure that no one tampered with my crap once it was loaded into the giant moving pod; the only casualties of the move appear to be a small plate and a little plastic pad for my dining room table. I barely had to lift a finger, and the price was -exactly- what I was quoted, down to the last cent. As far as I'm concerned, I consider hiring Bekins to haul my stuff up the eastern seaboard a success. That said, I'm really -not- excited about moving again anytime soon.

It was a large safe move no stairs but on a gravel road. She assured me her guys could handle it and do it all the time. A month later I called back to book the move. Even though I hadn't provided my name she saved my quote and remembered my voice. Quote was still good and booked for a week later. Excellent customer service from what seemed like a very busy office. The day of the move they showed up on time and ready to hustle. Initially two guys came but once they loaded the safe on the truck they called to get back up. Backup showed up within five minutes super quick. They arrived, laid out a mat for the dolly, and busted out the move easy. I was worried about my doorway threshold but there was no need they picked it up every doorway. They placed it where I wanted it unwrapped it and took away the trash! Great service on a massive task that I was dreading. No way me and my friends would have been able to knock this out. Totally worth hiring professionals - and a great rate!! Will go to them should I need anything ever again and will totally recommend to others - no hesitation!

As someone who takes faith seriously, I find that deeply offensive given how this company actually conducts business. There is absolutely nothing about my experience that reflects honesty, integrity, or accountability--values that are foundational to Christianity. Using faith as a marketing tool while operating like this is misleading at best. After my move, multiple items were lost and damaged. I went through their claims process in good faith and ultimately signed a settlement agreement for $1,549. The company confirmed in writing that payment would be processed within 3-4 weeks. It has now been over nine weeks, and I have received no payment and no meaningful communication. At this point, I've had to escalate the situation beyond the company itself. I am in active discussions with the Fort Belvoir transportation office, and this company's handling of claims and failure to pay is being reviewed in the context of their eligibility to continue handling military PCS moves. Service members and their families deserve far better than this. Let me be clear: this is no longer about the money. It is about principle. A company that signs a settlement agreement and then ignores it is not operating in good faith. If this is not resolved immediately, I will be pursuing legal action for breach of contract. If you are considering using this company--especially for a military move--I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. There are plenty of companies that will treat you with honesty and respect. This is not one of them.

Service, quality, value of their company ALL BAD. I WILL CONTINUE TO INFORM PEOPLE ABOUT THIS SOLOMON MILBURN Solomon M, owner of MDT Towing, approached me when he saw me &my children at a storage unit where he was dropping off a guy's stuff. Solomon refers to his customer who was moving in that day as the "st!inky African guy." I was worried bc I had never used a moving company before due to concerns and fear about people knowing where I live, scoping out my house, & then the obvious which is property damage, and other horror stories I had heard. All of these things I expressed to him & he assured me my stuff would be tied down and that they been in the business for 12 years. Let me add STUFF IS MISSING & broken. I spoke w/ him on 10/15, the day of my settlement, between 8am and 9am, and inquired whether it was too late to get movers. He said no, we'll be at the storage unit at 2 p.m. Now, I'm big on supporting black owned businesses and Solomon and his team showed me more and more why it was a horrible idea. I will never ever! I asked him if he was sure since if so, we could move the timing if necessary to 4. He claimed the timing was great and that I need to pay $40 for holding fee. I had him on speaker phone, and my realtor, title firm, and daughter were all listening. I have pictures of when the invoice was paid and when I notified him that it was paid. I asked him again about the pricing and whether it will alter due to the last minute, and he answered no. He added, "Better yet, I'll give you a discount of $550, with the $40 included." When he first spoke with me a few weeks ago, he quoted $525 and claimed he would give me a discount. At 2 p.m., myself, my kid, & my closest friend were waiting for the movers to come. I sent him a call/text about their location, and he said they'd be late around 45 minutes after I sat there since 2pm. The truck arrived late, as did Solomon, and the movers (2 guys) did not show up until 4. During our 1st talk, I expressed my concerns about movers & asked Solomon if he did background checks while being concerned about theft. He chuckled. I contacted him after 1 1/2 hours of waiting; at this point, he is waiting w/us for his contracted movers after Solomon also showed up late. I told him I had to leave at 4 p.m. since the guys wasn't there to pick up my son & return the Verizon box to kill time. I was only able to pick up my son, never to deliver box back and the movers arrived minutes later. During that time, Solomon asked me could I run him about 7-10 mins up the street to his truck. Again, this is my time wasted 2 hours yet he needed a ride. I should have charged him for gas. Then he gets in the car asking personal questions after noticing my government laptop and card. He then started asking where I'm from and all other questions he shouldn't have asked. Also, sharing w/myself and my BF about how the African he helped got money, etc. He knew too much personal stuff about his clients that he shouldn't have known. During the transfer of my belongings, they had no tarp, straps, or anything to secure my belongings, as he stated--TV, dressers, nothing. My best friend and I did the majority of their labor running up and down the steps. The guy upstairs was throwing my stuff everywhere. Solomon stayed downstairs on his cellphone. We left the storage unit after 530pm-6pm, and just 10 minutes later pulling out of the storage unit, Solomon called to say they needed to stop for 15 minutes to eat. They ate after arriving two hours late. They stopped at WAWA parked near the side and back of the building. We waited 25-30 mins at my house bc they had the bulk of our things. The 2 guys brought items in, we realized that my big screen TV had been severely damaged. Solomon addressed me as ma'am before stating that they worked for more than four hours and that he will not charge me $735. Now, while he behind sat in the car doing nothing, his the short guy asked me why was he there. I told him who Solomon and he said yes. I told him I was not sure because I figure he go to all sites with them and he said no he doesn't go to all the sites with them. Part2- I will use my SM platform to expose them. After unpacking I found broken class from m entire kitchen set. He takes no accountability. Only 2 showed and he said it would be 3. They also asked personal questions and scoped out my house. First, with a positive, the follow up and customer service is great. It has to be, due to the following comments listed. 2. Moved a 1 bedroom apt( bedframe , mattress, dresser , 2 TVs , and a sofa), and it took 5 hours , with a locked elevator , in the same building, separated by 2 floors.Everything additional was boxed or bagged. No loose items. 3. They attempted to change the charges the day of the move , even though we had confirmed less than 24 hours prior. Claimed the 3rd person Was due to their double booking, snow , etc . And the additional man would speed up the process . Did i mention this simple 1 bedroom move took 5 hours for an in building, one bedroom transfer? Does that seem expedited ? Everything was a group effort, and teaching moment. this slowed the move down. For example, it Took 20 minutes of discussion to figure out how to disassemble a bed frame efficiently . Constantly going back and forth to the moving truck on the clock ( for what idk ) . If not watched , disappearing for 15-20 minutes at a time . 4. I was advised that I could leave my dresser items in the drawers, and they could move them efficiently. I now have to find someone to take my dresser apart, due to items some how making their way to inside unreachable areas insiders dresser. 5. I have to find someone to reassemble my sofa. They didn't put it back together. 6. You're charged 30 minutes to and from . So, you owe an hour before they start . They didn't have to leave the property, but charged me fuel . How do you charge someone fuel, and time for arrival, and departure ? Seems like the rate is only labor . You're also charged for any items used to rap to transport furniture . The intimation that they try to give you when you book is that is inclusionary. 7. With a discount, A DISCOUNT, this move cost me $1,000. Between the random 3rd man up charge , wrapping items for the large furniture , fuel charge , insurance that they make you cover that they don't disclose until the last minute that is almost $200 additional ... 8. Moved my items into the hallway, and left them there unattended while moving. 9. Even if you pay by phone, they want you to write your credit card information on a random piece of paper. It's a hard NO, for me. Yes, I signed, and let them go about their business. It's exhausting to keep debating obvious discrepancies, and hidden fees during a move which is a top 3 stressor in general. Just .... Don't . Use someone else .

All My Sons Moving - Virginia North…read more This moving company needs to be investigated for fraud or deceptive business practices. I booked my move a week in advance and paid a $100 deposit after being told it would guarantee my moving date and secure my spot. Then, only 3 days before my scheduled move, the manager -- I believe his name was David -- called to tell me they were fully booked for the entire week and that my move would either need to be rescheduled or canceled altogether. I made it very clear from the beginning that my apartment lease ends on the 31st and that I needed to move before then. Had this company been honest about the fact that paying a deposit did not actually guarantee service, I would have hired another moving company much earlier. Now I'm left scrambling at the last minute, despite having everything planned out. I also have to report to work in another state on the 1st, so this has created a major inconvenience and unnecessary stress. To make matters worse, speaking with them on the phone was a complete disaster. The communication was unprofessional, disorganized, and unacceptable. They agreed to refund the $100 deposit, but that does not make up for the inconvenience, stress, and potential consequences this situation may cause me. If I receive penalties from my landlord for a late move-out or face any employment-related consequences because of this company's failure to honor their commitment, I will absolutely be exploring all possible legal and consumer protection options.
