We primarily worked with Shelli, who is SO knowledgeable, professional, and creative. She helped my vision come to life. In the eleventh hour, literally DAYS before our wedding date, I made a last minute change to our proposal and requested floating candles for the centerpieces and Shelli made it happen! Attached to this review are all the beautiful photos of the arrangements they made. The aisle flower arrangements (from the ceremony) were repurposed for the table centerpieces, and the two cascading arrangements on either side of the arbor (from the ceremony) were repurposed for our sweetheart table decor. Placed an order online around 9:30 a.m. I called around 4 p.m. to see if it had been delivered. She said she never got the order. Then she called someone and said that she found the order. The online place said they emailed it to her but she said she never got it. Anyway, she ended up finally getting the order details. She said this happened about three times a year. I said I guess she should just cancel the order since it was so late in the day. Then she said that she could still deliver it that day or wait and deliver it the next day with an upgrade. I added her to go ahead and deliver it that day before 4:45. They were able to deliver the flowers before 4:45. The next day, the main centerpiece flower had already died. I let them know about this via voicemail on Saturday. On Monday, I got a call back from them and telling me that they would redeliver the arrangement. Way to stand behind your product! read more

My wedding was Thursday. Paid for certain things that I didn't receive. When I called about the fact my bridesmaids Lilys weren't open. 5 bridesmaid 4 Lilys each give or take and none of them open. When I talked to Shelly I asked her about it I said I know it says they need to be in water and sunlight and will start to open. She said for two days they've been in a hot room and did not open. So I'm like well after that point clearly they aren't going to open in time so why wouldn't you had found me ones that are open. Mind you I paid over 3 grand extra for everything. Was totaled 5 grand but I'll get to that in a second. She started giving me attitude, I had her on speaker in the car with all my bridesmaids. All of them heard her snarky attitude. She said nothing can be done. So I said again what are you gonna do if these don't open in an hour and a half when I walk down the aisle. All she said was refund my money. I had paid half my bill as deposit and was told I'd get what I wanted the pictures to be. Maybe a little less but nothing drastically less. So than no one decides to call me and tell me something I'm paying $1600 for was taken away. It was for foliage in the tent and I went in to pay my remaining balance of $2377 and get told my balance is $637. I go no my balance is 2377 she went to go double check and came back and than told me about the the new tent and how the foliage can't happen anymore and said the venue should had contacted me. And said they sent out emails to everyone. I brought up my email in front of her face and showed her I had no email explaining this from you. She blamed the venue. So I talked to the venue. Venue made a valid point in saying that this is not something they do it's through the contractor so they should had been the ones to contact you and the general manager I spoke too said that shelli tried blaming me. So also my aisle chairs. I was so suppose to have these beautiful aisle Chairs flower arrangements. I remember telling her a little less than what was the picture but not too much of a difference. I literally got not even a quarter of what it should had been. My ceremony arrangement piece was suppose to be this huge piece. Going from one side of gazebo to other while hanging down....I got a fricken corner piece. I am so angry with this company and their horrible customer service as well as just not giving me what they said they could do. read more

Ordered some Orchids from this florist for Valentines and had them delivered to my sweetie. The display was elegant and came as advertised. Was a bit pricey, but if you are going to order an orchid might as well be ready to spend a bit of money! After watching multiple deliveries in our office and it pushing 2 pm I was a bit worried they weren't going to get there at the time I asked. Sure enough after calling them to confirm delivery, the flowers came 20 minutes later and the lady was pleasantly surprised. Thanks guys! read more

The absolute best customer service. I placed a online order for delivery for two separate days. I didn't realize my delivery was out of their range. I was notified immediately by Shelley that unfortunately the delivery address was not in the delivery range. She had already contacted another local florest that could complete my request. Based on my experience with this florist, I'm avoiding them in the future and would certainly advise others to do the same. I placed an order on Oct. 31 to be delivered on Nov. 1 (to a location less than half a mile away). The flowers weren't delivered, I wasn't contacted that they weren't delivered and there was no note on the door to indicate a delivery was attempted. I called to inquire why and while they were somewhat apologetic, they made no attempt to compensate me for their failure to deliver or inform me of such. No waved delivery fee, no half-off next arrangement, nothing like that. I told them I thought this was poor customer service and that they'd lost a customer, only to receive a sarcastic "I'm VERY sorry we've lost your business" in reply. Find a better florist, they're out there. read more

I like this place. I was looking to DIY my bouquet for my very small wedding, and they happened to be a good combination of easy to locate and well priced. It's in the building that used to hold My Florist- they tore it down and turned it into a bunch of small little stores. You go into the store and are greeted by the adorable store kitty. Super friendly and cute! Sorry, but I've got two of my own, they get at least a 0.5 star for that. Mostly I liked how helpful the girl was. I looked a bit lost, and she asked me what I needed, and I asked to look at the fresh flowers, because I wanted white ones for my bouquet. They didn't have many of the ones I really liked or had initially wanted but she did go out of her way to mention that because it was a Saturday, there were some blooms that weren't up to par when I asked about them. Not letting me buy bad flowers- very nice. When I had questions about the hydrangea stems that caught my eye, and voiced that I wasn't sure if I could make my now-husband's boutonniere out of it, she actually showed me, right on the spot. I also loved that. She told me how to care for them until the day of, and we arranged for her to put aside some stems for me on the spot. When I asked if I might need more, she volunteered to call her supplier. They said they could deliver some the next day, but she was very upfront about the price. I did catch her making a really cool looking arrangement as well. I rather wish I had had the foresight to come in earlier and order what I needed, but flowers were supposedly easy and the last thing on my mind. My problem, not theirs. Good service, small local business, great location. If I actually bought fresh flowers more of ten I'd definitely become a regular. read more

The representative didn't sound happy when she spoke to me & abruptly hung-up on me. Arrangements finally arrived & it doesn't even look like the original arrangement. Instead of using a 1-800 service, my mother ordered an arrangement from Community Florist to congratulate me on my marriage. I was surprised when it arrived yesterday that it had pink flowers in it. She knows that I much prefer purples and blues. She told me that she specifically asked for them to not use pink, and maybe they could use purples. She told me that she called them to tell them the arrangement wasn't what she asked for and the man on the phone admitted that they had a note that said "no pink" and said they would send a replacement but they wanted the old one back. I've NEVER had a florist ask for their flowers back if they made a mistake. I never got this replacement, so my mom called back today and they said that they won't be replacing the arrangement because the flowers they sent are "fuchsia" and not "pink". We can argue color names all day but if someone asks for their arrangement to not be pink maybe you could try colors that aren't even close to pink? The card says, "We value you as a customer. It was a pleasure to give your order our personal attention." Sure didn't seem like it to me. Guess we need to go back to 1-800 florists instead of local ones. read more

Prices are well below the chain florists here in Central Phoenix and I always like to help the small business owner, especially during this construction madness. I ordered a bouquet of pink flowers for a co-worker who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. My only request was that the bouquet be pink, and not have any lillies. When the bouquet arrived, it was not pink, was filled with lillies, and was aesthetically unappealing. I was looking for a local florist shop that could create bouquets without following the traditional catalogue style. The owner Shelli did an amazing job helping me out and being patient with my requests. I actually went a few times myself and the drive isn't easy from where I am in Scottsdale but worth it. The bouquet turned out great. They made it definitely unique and many compliments were given. I therefore got to feel like I not only helped in creating it but that the staff was receptive to my requests and helpful in giving suggestions, everything you could ask from a florist. She also provided me a picture of the bouquet as I knew I would not be able to see it and that was important for me. It was maybe a little pricier than your average bouquet but well worth it. read more

What I expected: For my wife to receive an uncomplicated floral arrangement in celebration of our marriage. What I received: A customer service experience so abhorrent that I actually feel justified in taking the time out of my day to leave a poor review about this establishment on every popular and credible review service I can find. My mother in law ordered a bouquet to be delivered to my now wife's place of work. The instructions provided were "Blues and purples, no pinks". What was received was two shades of flower: White and pink. Okay, well... bummer I suppose. Let's see if they can get the issue corrected. NOPE. TOO FAR. UNREASONABLE. Community Florist agreed that a replacement was in order, but demanded to have the original bouquet returned. They then decided that they would vacate their last remaining inches of credibility as a service based business and NOT replace the bouquet, changing their stance to "deal with it, it's fuchsia". Everybody makes mistakes; good customer service is what you do to fix those mistakes. Get your act together. read more

Since my first review, I have had three more interactions with Community Florist. Once to place my order over the phone- she remembered speaking with me, gave me updated prices before committing to the order (which were within the range she had quoted) and assured me everything would be ready on my pick-up date, provided I pay in a timely manner. I preferred to use cash, so I stopped by to settle the bill that weekend. Huge shop plus: Shop Cat! This black and white sweet little thing stole my heart and the florist had her eye on me to make sure I didn't steal him. He sat on my shoulder as I paid my bill, and I reluctantly returned him to a nearby stool. My third encounter was when I picked up the flowers, ready right on time as promised. I had a ton of carnations, some green trix, buplerum, and a few hydrangeas. Shop Cat again proved to be the highlight of the experience, but the service was great as well. She sold me a stem-ripper (to remove thorns and leaves) even though I hadn't purchased the roses from her. All of the flowers held up marvelously, with the exception of a few user-error calamities. We trimmed and arranged everything in my centerpieces with a little water, and stashed them in a cool (but not cold) spare room so they would wake up. The next morning, we used plant food in the water to top off the water levels. Day 3 was go time, and they all looked perfect - healthy, full, colorful, and beautiful. Going in to the "I'll do my own wedding flowers" plan, I knew there were several details that could make or break the experience. I'm so glad it went as well as I could have imagined, and Community Florist providing advise and quality flowers played no small part. read more

Give them a little leeway for creativity and you'll be wowed, and for a good price, too. If you're a DIY kind of bride, you can buy your flowers through them and use the shop to put together your arrangements. If you need guidance, you can hire a designer to assist. They have a huge selection of containers (vases, etc.). read more

One thing that I was fascinated with was, when I ordered funeral arrangement via phone and did everything from home in my pj's. I waited a month before posting this to make sure I didn't do so out of anger. I'm still very disappointed with this florist and would strongly caution anyone who has an event that is special to them to trust this florist. I ordered 3 arrangements for my mothers funeral service at almost $600. My only request was to make sure the theme was lavender. I called Friday making sure they got the order and understood it was one of the only things about my moms service we were able to talk about before she passed. I wrote in each of the online orders 'please make the bow lavender', and 'please make sure this is all lavender'. They asked that I call back Monday to reiterate. I went in Monday, the day of the service, just to make sure we were on same page. I spoke with Lori and even began crying saying how important it was that everything was lavender. To my face she said she understood. The flowers were delivered and the main arrangement was pink with a pink bow. With 40 minutes left before the service started at 5 on a Monday she offered to drive the bow when I called asking why she didn't listen. It wouldn't have made it in time. The following morning two of the three arrangements were dead. I went down and the owner did refund half my cost but here it is a month later and I'm still disgusted by this florist. She also said none of the notes that I entered online made it to the order. I had the proof on my phone but she couldn't be bothered to review. It's bad enough to have lost my mother and be the one who had to plan everything, then on top of it to be blatantly ignored, crying in front of someone who clearly did not care how important these flowers were. Very disappointed I can't redo my moms service and would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if the reason or event you need the flowers for is at all important to you. read more

This business when called advertises under the name - Vine Treasures. Same phone number different name. Horrible customer service. DO NOT USE! I ordered a congratulations arrangement and Bill promised no pink flowers since my daughter doesn't like pink. We agreed on blue/purple and white. PINK flowers were delivered and when I called to complain, Bill was condescending but agreed to replace them. 2 hours later he left a voicemail saying the flowers weren't pink and he was angry at me for complaining. I would never recommend using them and opened a dispute since incorrect merchandise was delivered. read more
