I had ordered a beautiful bouquet on line for my daughter to be delivered on her birthday, which was one day from when I ordered. What happened was the shop was going to be closed on that Saturday, so they wouldn't be able to fulfill the order. I was busy all day and not near my phone. But the shop tried to reach me via phone and text and email to ask me if I wanted to delay or cancel the order. When I finally called the number at 8:30pm, a live person actually answered the phone and apologized for not being able to deliver the next day and referred me to another florist who could. My friend lost her mother earlier this year and I wanted to do something to this Thanksgiving more cheerful. On Wednesday morning East Coast time, I decided to send flowers, but of course, that didn't leave much time to get the delivery done. Rather than order from some random 1-800 service, I decided to try to find a local florist. Yelp helped me find Fleur De Lis Florists. I found a lovely bouquet on the company website called Spring Serenity and sent in my order before they opened. The photo with the lighter background is the image from the company website. I called to make sure the order had been received and spoke to Naira at the store. She said that the website photo used spring flowers that were not available in the winter (like peonies and lilacs) but that she could substitute other flowers of similar coloring. I agreed. I asked her to send me a picture of the arrangement as it was sent, and she texted me a photo once the arrangement was finished and on its way. I've uploaded that picture too. The flowers were delivered promptly and my friend thought they were beautiful. My only wish would have been that the lighter pink roses had been less opened when they were sent, but Naira said they were garden roses and typically came that way.
