So my car got hit and the tail light needed to be replace. Brought it here, guys are super nice. Well.... after I got my car back my trunk would get wet (never happened before going there) to the point where my electrical was ruined. My car (Benz) never worked the same. Sticking with the one star. A little over 2 years later I had a friend who knew what might be wrong look behind the glove box and wouldn't you know.. there's an ENTIRE piece missing! The piece that controls ac and heat. The big white plastic piece you see in the one photo is the same make and model, the one missing that very important item is mine. These people are, BY FAR, the rudest auto shop I have ever dealt with. These men convinced me to rent through "their guy", dropped my girl and i off at enterprise, and refused to come back and get us when we got stranded there because they did not accept my credit card. When I asked for them to come get us, I was yelled at, told to come get my keys, and take my car elsewhere. They also said it would take a month for my car to be done. I took it Legere's (in LYynn Ma), the next day, and she had it done in less that two weeks!! Go there! Don't waste your time with these jerks! The are sales men at best. read more

I ran into these guys by accident when my bumper literally fell off after hitting one of Boston's famous potholes. In all fairness I did get hit 2 weeks prior and just hadnt had time to get to a body shop to get the work done so maybe it was a sign from Auto Body gods... :-) So I walked in off the street and the place was jammin with people working away but I was greeted by one of the owners, Danny, who asked how he could help me. We sat down and talked for a few mins in his office while he gathered some paperwork. We walked out to the truck and he explained what needed to be done and assured me they would have my truck looking like the accident never happened. We went back into his office and he called the insurance company to engage with them and also called a rental car company for me. I'm withholding their shameless plug because they stuck me in a mini van when they had 3 nissan type cars that couldnt be leased because they "needed to be cleaned". Very disappointed. So back to Commonwealth... Danny completely took care of getting me in a rental without any effort on my part. They were also great at managing my expectations on when my truck would be finished and most importantly, they truck looked great when they were finished. I think this place is great. It's owner (family) operated and the brothers who run it learn to know who you are and what you want. The Father is always in the shop watching the workers and everybody seems quite happy working there, and they look like they're very hard workers as the place is very busy. My car was nearly totaled, the insurance company wanted to write it off, but Andrew S. fought hard with the adjuster, who came back and ok'd the work to put it back to it's pristine condition. It took a while to get all their parts, but they kept me informed and I had it back before my rental agreement expired. I'd go back and recommend them. read more

Unfortunately I was caught in a rainstorm and my windshield wipers were useless. I ended up hitting a guardrail and wanted to avoid a surcharge. A few friends recommended this autobody shop so I gave it a shot. The manager was friendly and honest. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend, avoid insurance and all, but the work was top notch. I have recommended this shop and it's owners to several friends now and they all have the same impression - satisfied! read more

I discovered Commonwealth when I was 18 years old and have trusted them with my cars now for 13 years. Being a young woman it was hard to find a shop back then that respected me and explained what was going on with my vehicle. Other shops would brush me off and not take me seriously when I came in needing a repair because I was a young teenager at the time. Commonwealth however was different, they spent the time explaining what needed to be done, the labor, cost, etc. They helped me get into a rental car, they explained how long it would take for the car to be fixed. This is a family business that has been passed down through generations for a reason. The father has taught the sons well and this place will be in business for a very long time and will be continued to be passed down. I wouldn't trust my vehicles with any other shop. seriously they do quality work and if your in accident and someone hit you and your freaking out just call them and have your car towed to them! They take care of everything and walk you through everything ! They take all the worry out of car ownership! I brought in my car (a brand new Rav 4) when I had damage to my door panels. I had misjudged the space between a parked truck that had a step on the back end and my parking spot and sliced the panels. When I got my car back from Commonwealth it was in the best condition. They had buffed out some minor scratches that I had on it so that is was perfect again. read more

I had a difficult situation with a hit & run while parked. The insurance company was horrible... the first claim in 16 years. They held up the work with an investigation. They hired a "consultant". Money they could have given me for the repair... But Dan and the crew at Commonwealth Auto Body stayed with me throughout this whole ordeal. I picked up my car that looks brand new! The work done on my car was done extremely poorly. They promised that it would not crack, peel, or fade. Not even a year later my paint is cracked, peeling, and also bubbling. I also paid an extensive almost $3000.00 just for my front end. There are Maaco paint jobs way better than this place. Very low quality stuff. read more
