If that article doesn't settle your mind I will explain my situation with them to you. I had my car get hit in my driveway back in may, my friend told me I have these guys who do great work. They were all the way out in Winthrop and I lived over 2 hours away. They also were not assured and neither was their work gaurenteed by my insurance. So I was going out on a limb thinking these people would take excellent care of me and my vehicle. Dumb me. Before I went to pick up my car, I got a disturbing phone call from my friend who told me they want the insurance money, in cash for over $1000, NO CHECKS NO CREDIT CARD! Screamed it at me. I asked why, i do not feel comfortable walking around with that much cash, i'd rather put it on a card. My friend said do me the favor and pay the cash since they helped you out by fixing your car. I ended up going with a check ( and thank god). I saw my car, swapped my stuff from my rental into my car and gave the check. Went to start my car....and its dead! Wonderful! They had to jump it, that should have been my second sign after the whole payment situation. I didnt have time to examine my car as I had to go to work. So, after when I did look at my car a hour later I noticed they did not do ANY of the stuff the insurance claim stated. Did not get a new shell for the door, didn't blend the fender, BROKE my stripping on my window and SUPER GLUED IT!? Are you kidding me?! no....they burned my mirror cover and the stripping on the window was all bubbly along with the paint job. The work was NOT acceptable and was HORRIBLE! Their level of professionalism was horrible, as they never contacted me ONCE about my car to let me know how the work was going or when my car would be ready. They went through my "friend" the whole time. Its now been well over 6 months after i got my car back and my car has not run evenly, the door still doesn't close right from the accident, and I tried to call the owner and his phone was changed/disconnected to top it off. So save yourself the trouble and please do not give your business to these people who have messed up the automobile and insurance industry. You might end up with a worse headache from an accident than to start with. Good luck! Keep in mind, Yelp is a REVIEW WEBSITE. people post their experiences of different places so other potential customers can learn if people are having an overall good experience or bad experience of a certain place. I have written many yelp reviews- over 70! They tell my honest opinions and tell it how it is, no sugar coating. If I have a good experience, I say so and say why, if I dont, I say it and say why. I am a person who knows what they want and I am a paying customer and expect to get correct service when I am a paying customer. Thats all. read more
