    PROS - Price -…read moreFriendly customer service agents CONS - Extremely unreliable service - Never received the speeds I paid for. (my devices were more than capable of receiving these speeds) - Had to call tech support on an almost weekly basis to try to resolve recurring issues. CONCLUSION - If money is an issue, they are good in that market, but if it's not, perhaps look at a provider like AT&T who I also have had service through & while they are WAAAY more expensive, they were reliable.

Fast forward to now where I am submitting this review based upon my previous situation 2 weeks ago. I requested a Technician to come out and replace a torn/destroyed COAX Line that was damaging my internet signal. I work from home, so internet stability is 100% required or I can lose my job, money and time. The technician came out, said he replaced the line etc. I am now 2 weeks later and constant signal drops. I cannot work (from home) and upon calling Mediacom support they are now telling me I have to wait 1 more week of 8 days for a technician to come fix the issue? A. The technician 2 weeks ago DID NOT do what was paid for and requested. He came and used the old damaged line and went about his day. B. Now I am being forced to be penalized for their technicians incompetence of doing the job correctly the first time? My 400$ a month internet package is paying for what exactly? If you want to pay loads of money to a company who does not truly value your money, avoid this place. Thanks for showing me just how much you guys run your business. I hope the owner see's this review. This needs handled immediately throughout the entirety of the company. If I lose my job, you better make sure you extend my bill payment for the days I have been without internet (going on 3.5 weeks so far). This is very roachlike business tactics. Lets see how long it goes before I get a resolve.

I don't know how their executives sleep at night taking advantage of small business organizations everywhere. Oh yea, they're a monopoly, having sold their souls, they feel like they can abuse the public in whatever way they want. The first and most blatant abuse is their absolute untruths about the speed and reliability of their service. I was supposed to have 300 down. Not once did I ever see anything approaching that. I get it. Infrastructure may be shared, but if your average down speed is in the 20's, 300 should not be advertised. Second, they will insist on installing with installation fees even if the infrastructure already exists in. your building. But, because of this, you will later find out that you have a 2 year contract, which will amount to thousands. Third, they will decide without consulting you that your "installation" will require equipment that is unnecessary, charging you as much for their infrastructure **EVERY MONTH** what it would cost to buy brand new... not that you're getting brand new equipment. You're getting used equipment, and being charged exorbitant monthly rental on it. When I lost me lease, they decided I needed to pay them thousands of dollars because of this aforementioned contract ***PLUS*** an extra-exorbitant cost for their missing equipment, which I never asked for, and is marked at a price something like 10x what it is worth. Then, they'll turn you over to a collection agent, and harrass you for months. I'm sure some corporate flack will tell us that it was all in their 20-page contract chock full with fine print. This is classic predatory behavior. I'll tell you one thing, their salespeople and customer service agents don't know what's in their own contract because they are either brain dead drones or just flat out non-responsive. So, please learn from my mistakes. This company is toxic. Stay away. It requires a special kind of awfulness for me to wish for AT&T, which has its own problems, but I would take them 8 days a week over this vampire of a company. Shame on you, Cox.

I'd call and they would be like ok let's us put you on a new plan. I'm like seriously don't wanna be locked into another 12 months of high payments. Well they met there match last year with a new company that changed my mind from this business. Good ridence to this place. I never had a clear pic on my tv at all plus the WiFi and internet they provided was slow as all can be. Shop around there's better service for cable and internet!!!

Mentioned I'm wheelchair bound now. Before I could speak he offered to meet me at my vehicle and he'd take it in. BTW..these amps have a bit of unbalanced weight on them. I feel I have an amigo in case I got a rare Yamaha bad apple. If it happens again I will demand a new one from Yamaha. Nice to have his shop doing the work. Jim doesn't want a return, Yamaha doesn't want a return, nor do I. BTW Yamaha doesn't hand out warranty service contracts on a whim. Somebody there has some serious talento. Feel it's a shame more folks with good experiences don't post. Do you know how great it is having a service like this in Springfield? BTW.....sent a Teac Cassette Deck in for a factory re-do oil/belts in California. 80 bucks to ship one way. 289.00 for service..... Unit failed within 3 weeks....Garage door guys two hours charge 30 minutes there and millage....sounds like Jim's cheap. One last thing, been in good to great audio for 50 years. You pay for what you get, and it aint cheap to have great sound. Unless an audiophile relative passes on.

The end of April 2019 was the last time we had service. We have called and called trying to get someone to fix it, all the while paying our monthly rate. Three times they have told us there would be someone out to fix it. They came out once and left a bunch of cable wire on the ground and didn't complete the job. We called again. And then again and again. Finally they were supposed to come yesterday. Guess what? No show. That was the last straw. I called to cancel this morning. That took over 30 minutes. As I am writing this I am trying to get a refund for 5 months of payments with no cable. I'm still on hold. It's been 56 minutes.

They continue to promise us large amounts of speed, we pay almost $110.00 a month and never have speed above 10 mbps most of the time it is around 5 or 9 Mbps and we are suppose to get 100Mbps a month NEVER in our 4 years has this happened. And recently they have decided to go back in time and charge you for Data that you go over. So unless you Upgrade your plan to include this you could face monumental charges. There are NEW companies in the Area that promise you a Dedicated line with no one else vying for internet time. Time for a switch is in order. @ the present time my CURRENT Mbps is 0.74Mbps with a ping of 976 and an upload of 2.16mbps. Pure CRAP.
