It was bound to happen eventually I suppose. In a rush, and not paying attention, and I dropped my iPhone 6S in the toilet. I reacted quickly and grabbed it out but it was completely submerged in the bottom of the bowl and I knew that wasn't good. I tossed it in a bowl of rice and watched as it slowly died. My husband came home and told me about this shop that repairs iPhones. He called them and they said to bring them the phone immediately. We ran my phone down and they opened it... and it was filled with water. They asked if I'd plugged it in to charge after it got wet and I said no. (That was a good thing... apparently electricity and water don't mix... LOL!) They said they would ultrasonic clean it and dry it and call me today to tell me if it worked. If they thought it would last less than a year they would recommend a new phone and not waste my time and money with repairs that wouldn't last. (What? No gouging me for no reason???) Guess what? It's FINE! $30 for the cleaning and drying. I also had them put a new battery in since mine wasn't holding a charge even before the Great Toilet Incident of 2019 anyway. I am thrilled with this experience. They were knowledgeable and ethical. Highly recommend! read more
