this is the worst company! we called on the 4th of the month to establish service and we have not had working internet for more than 4 days. I have actually had cutomer service tell me they can't help me and hang up on me. i can't even stress how terrible a company this is! avoid at all costs!!!! read more

Run. Don't use this service, for any reason. I just hope they aren't your only service. These assholes during a pandemic shut our internet off 5 times. I cancelled TV to reduce the bills. Money's tight. We use the internet for business and side income so we kept the internet. They charged me over 259 because in the process of cleaning we misplaced the cable boxes that were meant to be sent out. I found them and drove them personally to their store where they told me I'd be seeing a credit on my next bill. This was 7/31 so I assumed in August. Nope they shut the internet off on me then too. Then slapped a $100 reconnect fee on top. You can never catch up with these crooks. So I paid an extra 250 for the equipment, it's September, the credit should be on my account right? Nope internet shut off again. Fuck these people. Cox is a dirty, greedy, stingy company who says they want to help people in a pandemic but all they fucking care about is money. So fuck them - go elsewhere people I implore you. You will save so many hours not fighting customer service, not overpaying and getting upsold. Run people run read more

I cannot recommend Cox to anyone. I am on my 3rd day of no service. After having service for over a year, Cox goes down for an entire weekend. On day 3, the service comes back on for an hour. Then, it's back off again. Technical support has advised me that while the technical glitch on their end has been repaired (apparently they had to repair a node somewhere in NWA), when it turned back on all of the equipment in my home no longer works. They shared they would be happy to sell me some new equipment. I do not recommend Cox to anyone. They need to figure out how to keep their service up and running. read more

My mom and I came in to get our cable box switched out for one with DVR so that my parents could have record functionality. Triston helped us and he was so sweet and easy to work with from start to finish. He opened the door for us, then asked us what we needed help with, looked into our current service, and found us a good deal on DVR and added it to our plan. It only took about 5 minutes and we were already out the door with a brand new cable box. Very impressed with this company and especially thankful for Triston for making our trip there so easy! :) read more

My wife and I have been Cox customers here for 20+ years with better than average service. That is until last year. It seems that Cox corporation has reduced the local store's power to help. We have a dis-functional DVR and our pricing is around $180 for internet and TV, with no premium channels like NFL or Cinemax or HBO. We asked for a new Contour and a price reduction and we were offered a temporary $10 or $20 reduction in price on our monthly bill and a new Contour device but with a $75 installation charge. There are offers for NEW customers to begin service with an expanded menu of TV channels, Contour DVR and internet, plus phone service with no installation charges and $89 a month. Yes more services at 1/2 the price. The local people, and a phone based customer representative have done almost nothing to resolve the issue. They have been extremely courteous but inept at accomplishing anything. Apparently COX has tied it's employees hands. We will seek service elsewhere. read more

After 4 months of trying to work with TWELVE different Cox Solutions Representatives (2 in store, 5 over the phone, 5 online through chat) and trying to figure out why I was receiving past due balance emails, I was told to disregard these notifications as I had no past due balance and they must be fake scam emails. Nevertheless, each time I received one of these emails that looked exactly like my actual invoice emails, I contacted Cox to let them know and was once again told that there was no past due balance at my current address or my previous as I had recently moved. Last week, I received a letter from a collections agency for this past due balance. I made another trip to the Cox store where finally, someone was able to figure out that a mistake had been made in that a third account had inadvertently been created throughout several mistakes made on their part when trying to transfer services to my new house (I'm still trying to figure out why a second account was created when I was transferring services but whatever). After I moved, the third account remained active on a house I no longer lived in for four months and was then disconnected due to no payment. This would be the past due balance that was sent to collections. After multiple conversations with Cox reps and then the collection agency, I finally emailed one of the local reps who had "helped" me in store, copying his supervisor along with the emails of five leadership executives that I found online including the Executive Director, Vice President, Sr. Vice President and President/CEO (thank you elliott.org). I received a call within two hours from the Executive Escalations Leadership Team asking a few questions and then letting me know they had issued the credit that was take effect within 1 business day, but the 30 days I was originally told, and would immediately be reported to the collections agency, another 30 days I had been told at which time it would have already been reported to the credit bureaus and negatively affected my credit. I was so grateful to finally have a contact who was actually helping me. He told me he would call me back by the end of the day the next business day to confirm it had all been done as well as to discuss what they could do to restore my faith in the company. The next business day, I received the call and the issue had been resolved but no mention of the act to restore my faith so i asked him, are you going to do anything to make this right with me? He told me that I already had a discount to my account due to the issues with the original transfer and all he could offer me was a $2 monthly discount on my modem as well as a one time credit of $20, a total value of $44 when I pay over $160/monthly and have for the last 10+ years. Needless to say, I will be finding a new provider for all of my services as soon as possible as I work in client services and if I were to treat my clients with this level of service, I would be fired. Cox, you should be ashamed of the customer service you are providing to your customers and I am hopeful that soon, these smaller, faster internet providers such as OzarksGo will overtake these huge corporations that monopolize certain services and leaving people with very few choices. read more
