They charged me over 259 because in the process of cleaning we misplaced the cable boxes that were meant to be sent out. I found them and drove them personally to their store where they told me I'd be seeing a credit on my next bill. This was 7/31 so I assumed in August. Nope they shut the internet off on me then too. Then slapped a $100 reconnect fee on top. You can never catch up with these crooks. So I paid an extra 250 for the equipment, it's September, the credit should be on my account right? Nope internet shut off again. Fuck these people. Cox is a dirty, greedy, stingy company who says they want to help people in a pandemic but all they fucking care about is money. ($94.00 down to $60). Cox was still $10 higher for a lesser service . After 1 month of constant buffering and slow speeds I contacted cox. First, I was told that they took away my unlimited Internet access. later I was told that I still had my unlimited Internet. then I was told I needed to pay $75 to have a technician come out and figure out what was going on.. at that time. I decided it was time to switch to Dobson fiber Internet. I disconnected Cox equipment, took it to their store and paid remaining balance. One week later I get a bill for $49. I contacted Cox cable and was told that my service had been disconnected, but that it was they restarted my services again and I owed them a $49. For an account I never opened up. Looks like I will be going to the Cox service store again.
