Between the animals in and our of the barn, the giant sandbox, and the tetherball, this was a great little area to hang out in. They also had a fun basketball hoop in a wagon which sent your ball back every time. That was fun! They had wagon rides, plenty of food and drinks available, and for the birthday party we got a couple of their homemade cinnamon donuts which were delicious. We didn't do any blueberry picking but we will be back for that. However they have the store in the barn which had maple syrup, jams, produce, and so many other great items. We grabbed a few more donuts and a jar of homemade jam. This is a great spot for the family or even just a weekend date. We will be coming back for more soon!

It has an amazing variety of fresh vegetables, fruits, beef, pork, eggs and flowers too! All sorts of fun activities that the children can participate in. Its a way to have a great fun-filled day without breaking the bank. I hear the wagon rides are a blast too!! Their CSA/farm share program is second to none. I have been eating healthier thanks to Greg's. I do know that they do not spray the fields with pesticides. With the way the big box grocery stores get their products, who knows what the heck has been done to them. Check out Greg's U-Pick. You will not be disappointed!!

They grow tomatoes, cucumbers, cantalopes and a variety of other vegetables. The grape tomatoes they have are absolute bomb! So sweet and delicious. There is a CSA that is offered as well and while I have not yet signed up for it, I'm curious what the cost is. The produce is pretty good for being grown in an urban setting. The farm adds a lot to the area, definitely reach out to them if you're curious and want to take a tour. I did and it was really cool to see and experience it!

They then offer the food, at reasonable prices, to the area residents - either through a CSA (buy a share and get fresh veges etc once a week), through supporting some school lunch programs and taking SNAP coupons. They also have a stall at the Elmwood Bidwell weekly farmers market. They are a part of the community. They have internships for local kids, providing some income and some skills for them. They offer fresh veges in areas that don't have lots of grocery stores. This listing is for their main location, but they have picked up another 10 or so lots around the West Side. There are some ft employees, but they also run an active internship program for local kids. Their CSA sold out this year, but there's always next year. It's associated with a religious group, so there's some comments related to that on their website. That whole "5 loaves, 2 fish" thing. Hence the name. 2504

Wow, no reviews for two years!…read more This farmstand looks like it is going strong. There was a wide variety of vegetables today - greens, peppers, beets, tomatoes, herbs, and more. Everything looked bright and beautiful. The pepper and tomato selection was better than Elmwood Bidwell. There are other local businesses represented including a small selection of Butterblock Pastries, a local honey table, coffee, and there's tables with seating as well. There was also local ice cream, Yumo, which has some really interesting flavors including one vegan one plus one sorbet. The farm also boasts a pizza stand. The pizza isn't available until 11am, though you can order it ahead of time for pick up as early as 11. While all the signs say the Market and Pizza are 10-3pm, the pizza cannot be ordered in person until 11am. The signs when you enter the market will not say this and nothing in the pizza area will say this. Seems like an easy enough thing to do. The pizza is pretty good. It's hot and crispy though I'm not sure why it's advertised as solar powered ovens because there's definitely fire involved. Pizzas are all $17 with cow products if ordered $20 vegan. One pizza is enough for two people. We got the poblano pie and it was very good. I don't think I would have missed the cheese - it's a very modest amount of what appears to be Miyokos vegan mozzarella, which I love, but for the amount on the pizza, I don't think I would miss it. Might make more sense on the Margherita but it's a minor player on the poblano. We left and came back for the pizza and forgot to get the Boston Cream vegan flavor they had. A really nice neighborhood market worth a visit.

They have revamped and rethought their systems here…read more First - they changed their days and hours. Now open Sat for the farmers market and the CSA pickup both. They open at 10 am. They offer different pizzas and thats what I come for. I think the offerings may vary week to week depending on the vege availability. The prices of the pizzas vary, but seem to be between $14-18. They have created a seating area to wait for your pizzas. It's nice and with an umbrella, so not too hot. They have a few butterblock offerings too, all $4.50. Then a select assortment of herbs and veges are available. All seasonal. Priced fairly consistent with the Bidwell market, slightly higher than NT market. Their farm looks awesome. This place is well worth a trip to the West Side.

North Buffalo Farmers Market…read more Located in the church parking lot of Holy Spirit Church just next to Burger King is a new Farmers Market - added to the rapidly growing Farmers Market scene of Buffalo NY. Opening day I noticed the vendors below. They do expect to add others moving forward. Jolie's Chinese Traditional Food Singer Farm Naturals The House of Olives Gino's Italian Bakery Hens Honey Bee Farm Kornerstone Coffee Code Blu Juice Bar Librock Farm Arden Farm I'm thrilled there is a Farmers Market closer to where I live, and not on a Sat morning. Well done on that front. While the vendor stalls were well spaced, there was also a lot of space between them, so I look forward to more vendors coming. This is a venue that is very stroller/wheelchair etc friendly, which, if you've been to other markets around town, you know is not always the case. The 4th star is because of that. The layout is just plain easy and comfortable. Parking is street, or the BK lot, which is what we did.

I'm so glad to have a midweek farmer's market so close to home. It is my understanding that there will be an "official" opening later this month and that more vendors will be joining the market. I'm looking forward to becoming a weekly customer!

Williamsville Farmer's Market - The Village Greens offer really good eggs. I didn't buy the Elderberry Tonic, but now I wonder whether I should go back and get one.

True, not a lot is in season right now, but I couldn't find staples like cabbage, bell peppers, etc. I saw spinach, radishes, some summer squashes, asparagus, lettuce and beets. Everything mostly from just one seller. The strawberries definitely looked gorgeous at the stand where I bought a dozen eggs. This guy also had asparagus, leafy greens, garlic scapes, and honey. I noticed that the honey came from Fredonia, New York. Anyway, the last time I bought colorful eggs was at the North Tonawanda City Market. All of them were stinky bad. I felt scammed. This time I took a chance, still remembering my unfortunate purchase. I'm telling you, these eggs are super tasty. I'm an egg snob, so I know:). Some day, I'm definitely going back for more. What else did I see? There was coffee available and some snacks. Orso Nero Pizza Truck. 12 Flat Mushrooms. Flowers. Meat. Bagels. Wine. Anastasia's Bakery, and more 'artisan' kind of stuff I don't remember right now. The sourdough bread from The Heritage Kitchen At Plato Dale Farm, looked really good. I'm glad I purchased one of their loaves. It's made with whole wheat flour so it's a bit more dense, but the taste and overall product is decent. I just wonder whether any of the sourdough starters in my fridge are still usable. Baking bread takes time and care. It was money well spent. So, I brought home just bread and eggs, the perfect combination. A soft-boiled egg with toasted bread and butter for breakfast is one of the simple pleasures in this world.

The mix of vendors is pretty good, and the prices are fair too. I've been about 4 times this season and it seems that there are a few staple vendors every week and a few visiting vendors. The weekly vendors: - Lloyd's food truck - a coffee place selling bagged coffee and serving hot or iced coffee (the iced coffee is VERY good!) - three baked good places (a vegan bread/roll place, another bread place, and an cookie/treat place that has AMAZING trail mix cookies!). - Hanzillans sausage - their chicken Polish sausage is very tasty! - Amherst compost station - Williamsville CSA - a seafood stand - Becker farms wine There was also a guy playing a guitar and a few stands selling flowers, produce, and plants. This week there were stands selling cherries, berries, apples, herbs, onions, zucchini, kohlrabi, and other greens. Parking - there's a public parking lot adjacent to the market, but it's been full almost every time I've gone. Save time and park on Main street between Cayuga and the market (free). Highly recommend if you're in the area!
