A massive game shop! All types of role playing games, board games, strategy games and all the accessories. There were table after table of people playing g their games... this place was busy. If you're looking for games of the mind, strategy, but not video games this is the spot! Prices seemed to be good, there was plenty of counter help and like I said they had everything. It was nice shop with helpful attentive people that was stocked with everything you could imagine.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! I'm from California and wanted to stop by to check out what the nearest card shop from the airport might have, "maybe I'll take a commander home with me so I'll remember my trip" and wow! The variety of commanders old, new, cheap, and expensive was perfect! SO MANY CHOICES FOR SLEEVES AND DECK BOXES! I was in heaven but then.... then I saw it... a playmat for Dead By Daylight... it was a must have! And then... no... no would they have it? Dead by daylight board game?? I asked the pleasant and nice staff and they did!!! It made my whole day!!! I've been looking for it for years!! They even had all the expansions! I wish i could have gotten them all! Demont (Sorry if I got your name wrong) But I love personality and fire! Thank you

Dice counter

Staff were super friendly and had a good mix of answering questions/leaving you alone. Store also had a large area for people to bring in games and play and a couple of tables were occupied when we were shopping. Also large selection of games...but I was there for the dice. This place has the most extensive selection of dice I've seen in a gaming store. They have special dice in a counter and the usual set of Chessex/other common brands in aisles. They also have a very good selection of enamel pins. Will definitely be visiting again!

Namiji is finally out! If you haven't played this or its sister game, Tokaido, you're missing out. These games are Zen AF.

I'm from Houston and we stopped in on St. Patrick's Day while we were visiting Dallas for the weekend to check out the games. This place has one of the largest game selections I've seen; I could have stayed in the store for hours. Alas, the restrooms were out of order, so staying for hours wasn't an option that day, but I'm not knocking any stars off for that: things happen. Now, here's the best back (at least for me)... They had a NEW version of Clank! called Clank! Catacombs and, even more importantly, it was less expensive than Amazon or another popular game website! And not just a little less expensive, but between $9 and $20 respectively. So, of course, I bought it. Did I mention that I love Clank!? It's a great deck-building game and I'm stoked to try this new version. Oh, and they have a rewards program! So I'll definitely be back.

Top of the Heap in Dallas. Without a doubt, Common Ground Games is the best game shop in the greater Dallas area. A ton of great board games, an excellent selection of collectible minis (like Star Wars, Warhammer, etc.), a huge gaming area, and an extremely knowledgeable staff all add up to the terrific gaming experience that is CGGames. If you can find something that you absolutely must take home with you, then you need to ask yourself, "Am I really a devoted gamer?"

This is my favorite game store. They have a selection of games, and many games are set up around the store for customers to interact with. They are open late, so customers can play games at the tables provided in the store. The employees are very helpful and always offer assistance. They have a rewards program that gives $5 off for every $100 spent. This store is suitable for all ages and has kid's games and stuffed animals. They also have gachapon machines, which are updated all the time with new capsules.

the store has an amazing selection of products and cards. lots of boosters of all kinds of sets allowing you to pull old cards if you wanna try that and they have lots of events w good players. cool sleeves. insane dice options and cool playmats w a awesome online searching set up to make finding cards easier when purchasing singles. now to issues. most of the staff are awesome but there's a few long term staff than can come off as very unfriendly and make you feel like you're bothering them or not welcome when asking questions or attempting to purchase.. and not once but 3 separate times I've made a purchase and it wasn't the right card. the latest being today. I purchased a necropotence anime borderless and bought a pack and some cool dice. I opened the pack and didn't pay much attention to my single bc usually they are right and even though ive had them give me the wrong card or print twice and charge me for what I tried to buy it wasn't a huge deal bc it was less than 5-10. so I get home and go to put the necro into my deck I'm blinging out and take it out of the extra glossy sleeve to see it's not foil. i call up there and get someone who's really friendly but basically says I have to come up there to get a refund and or the difference. I tell him I have to go far out of my way (30 miles/ 50 minutes) to get there so could I send a picture or just get store credit since I go there very often and have spent thousands there and he said no I'd have to come up then notates the clerk who grabbed my card says it was foil. I'm annoyed at being called a liar now and just politely get off the phone and go to check prices and then I realize I got charged 25 more than what a non foil should've been but now I have to drive 50 minutes and basically lose my money to get it foil considering it would be two trips to and two trips home after. otherwise a great store and def worth shopping and checking out but I heavily recommend individually checking cards as I'm going to do so now when purchasing singles considering I've been overcharged about $40-$50 now... POST REVIEW: owner refunded me within 20 minutes upon review and now I feel like a gigachad. As I said before it's a great store and only issues I've had is with singles and I should've checked it but just didn't bc they're almost always right. As I've said for years to all my fellow magic players it's definitely the biggest store for mtg in dfw and has the best selection just don't pull a me and not check

Proof of the box I was able to also have, after asking of course!

Does the store purchase Yu-go-oh cards from players?

Sorry, no. We don't buy or sell Yu-Gi-Oh Singles.

Board games can get a bit pricey, so knowing if you will like a game before spending the bucks really helps.

I said I just want the water please and the employee said it's store policy to take down personal information prior to any purchase, and that it was mandatory. They would not sell me the water without me giving my info but I had already opened the water. The employee called a manager over and he stated that "we have to resolve this" and that I had to give my information or there would be problems, even paying with cash! I ended up giving fake info and left. I can assure you that any company that mandates personal information just to buy a bottle of water is up to no good. Yes they sell your information, yes they put your information in a database. Do not voluntarily give personal information out as if it it's no big deal. Do not shop here. They are scammers!!

This is clearly a known issue as when I tried to return it the employee unhelpfully said 'oh they didn't tell you?' Was told that I needed a receipt to exchange my game, despite the fact that they have a record of the transaction ad I have a paid VIP membership. Can't find the receipt so I paid for half a game and they won't do anything about it. Pretty sure if I caused a scene they would give me what I wanted but I'd rather say hey this is a problem and have it taken care of. Poor customer service and they lost a customer of several years.

The first time I went there, it was admittedly a bit overwhelming as it took me an hour or so just to get a grasp on the lay of the land. DVT really shines with vintage Star Wars and GI Joe '70s and '80s figures, vehicles, and playsets - both loose, on card and in box. It's just as much of an art gallery as it is a retail business. DTV has a dedicated room of officially graded toys if you're looking very top of the line, several thousand dollars in value. And it also has loose complete Star Wars figures you can buy for $24.99, depending on the character. I really enjoy re-releases of my favorite toys growing up, and often prefer commemorative editions so I can enjoy the nostalgia without the heavy financial investment, and DVT has good finds of later releases. There's so much variety. If you don't prefer figures, you might score an item like the Yoda puppet from Empire Strikes Back or other merchandise you don't see all the time. While DVT makes its high-value offerings visible, you might very well dig up some treasure in the aisles as you browse. This past weekend, I came across the Hot Toys Jack Nicholson '89 Joker 1/6 scale figure - an undeniable Grail. It was just hanging out in the Batman section on the shelf with the rest. I forced myself not to look in the box and walk away as I've never seen it in person - I knew I would fall in love. It's $500 I don't have to explain to my wife! While I have purchased a few things from DTV, I am not familiar with the experience of selling a collection there. In the late 90s/early 2000s, I sold many of my old figures to a similar establishment and really regret it. What I will say is that Shaun and his staff are readily available for advice and to bounce ideas off of, and so, if you want to sell, it's definitely worth consulting with them. Just know you very well could get a third of what you perceive your collection to be worth - and that's anywhere. These businesses need to eat and pay bills just like the rest of us! If you haven't been to this nostalgia museum, take some time to relax, know your spending limits before walking in, and enjoy. May the Force Be With You!

They have an excellent array of new toy collectibles, vintage toys, parts, grab bags, MOC, video games, reissues, comics, lunchboxes, etc... etc... One thing that really pleases me about this place is that since I started going there a few years ago, they've expanded their girl-centric vintage toys. I've purchased many pink box Barbies from them for my collection. I feel like their prices are fair when you compare costs to the same items on eBay which is kind of exploitative to sellers anyway. I haven't sold anything to DVT yet, but I feel like I could trust that they would be fair. I think it's important to understand what DVT specializes in and not walk in expecting to sell them just anything and get a pretty penny for it. They do a great job of organizing and displaying everything as well and they keep their social media updated daily with new merchandise. They also have celebrity meet and greets too which is fun and they also have the occasional sidewalk sale (so sad I missed the last one). I really can't understand why anyone would rate DVT low. It's an amazing place.
