The selection here is great: if it's on the wall, it's probably a great game. If you have any doubts about whether you would love it or not, Jamison (the guy behind the counter) is a great source. Or, even better, grab a copy off the demo wall and give it a try (they don't have EVERY game on the demo wall - but they've got alot!) We came to this store on a whim and it was an amazing experience. The owner Jamison has a real passion of games. It was clear that we could ask him about any game on his wall and he could talk us through it. On top of having a large selection of games that are demo copies so you can try out in store. They have a new employee who did an amazing job recommending another game to a co-worker. In general we felt they had a real passion and knowledge of the product they sell. So my original review of the store mentioned that the small size was the only complaint I had. Since that review the store has expanded to more than twice the original size. That being said, they have also expanded their player base as well so it can still get a little crowded for large events but once again, the staff handles the added volume very well. And for those long tournaments a well stocked vending machine for snacks and drinks...and it even takes credit cards! If you love Magic, board games, D&D, or Pokemon you owe it to yourself to check this store out. Lots of tournaments, great groups of friendly and welcoming players and a staff that genuinely cares about the gaming community in Dallas. Great local game store. I'm a magic player on the competitive side, I find it too be a bit more casual but still has a number of talented players. The owner is very generous (and a DCI judge) and even paid out full prizes to the odd pods when we had 23 players for draft (paid out 8 man prizes to the 7 man pod) healthy little magic counter as well, good number of promos and foils. Great place to play or just buy cards They also have tons of board games for sale (and a demo wall of games too) I don't care for these games but they have just about all of them. I have been going to the shop since its early days and have not regretted a single second of any of my visits over the years. The owner is by far knowledgeable, friendly, and all around an excellent guy to talk to about the products he sells as well as other games/topics you may share a common interest in. The rest of the staff is just as knowledgeable as the boss himself and, after a while, you get to know themon a first name basis and they get to know you by first name as well. I really like the place is decorated. Everything is visible and the place doesn't look cluttered or overstuffed like a lot of game shops. This quirky and much needed addition to the Dallas alternative entertainment scene, is something I've never thought of or participated in before, but that being said on a recent trip home we had to come check it out. I invited my very wary parents. Our party of 6 arrived on Friday when anyone is able to come in and play the games that are sold. There is a real sense of community and fun bonding time that can be felt all over the store. There are plenty of tables and even more games! My bestie decided we should all play trailer park wars together! A real hoot of a game where each person has their own trailer park, various residents, and tries to inflict harm on other parks to gain the most pink flamingoes. Seeing my retired parents play this was awesome and having my bestie, boyfriend, and sister there was truly a fun evening for all of us. This is a place for ALL kinds where you can find a game you love to play or happen upon a new game that you'll have to take home with you. I will be back for sure and I may just drag my folks along too. A fun way to spend time with family or friends that isn't in front of a teevee or movie screen. I drove really far to get a game and expansion pack I needed for that evening that was about $23 higher than anywhere online. THEY ASK A 55% HIGHER PRICE. YES....55%!!!! I didn't ask the price (my fault) when I called. I would of gladly paid $5 dollars more and considering the limited distribution of the game the manufacturer made it public the wholesale price. I'm all about helping a small business and paying a bit more but doubt I'd make the effort to return with those prices. This store is awesome! I love the variety of things offered and think it's an amazing treasure trove of game night fun. Not only did they have neat games, they also have games that apply to the scifi/fantasy nerd in all of us. I was shocked to see games based off of popular shows like "Game of Thrones" and "Battlestar Galatica." They also had some great family games and travel games available. If you liked Apples to Apples, you'll love some of the other selections available in the family game section. I think my favorite thing though is the event schedule. I stopped by here while passing time leading to a flight out of Love Field; I was impressed by the size and selection of the store, as well as the ample support for some smaller Kickstarter based games like Boss Monster and a variety of Level 99 games.
